No, it truly isn't. But I'm teaching at a school that works with a menstal health institutions and we teach students that have different illnesses. The students change weekly and outbursts of anger would just ruin all the hard work. And despite the hard work, we're not even allowed to keep half of the things other schools use for their classrooms.
I relate to this 100%! I'm a first year teacher. While working on my classroom this summer, there's been so many days I've wondered what I even did with my time!!! Then I obsess over it and feel dissatisfied and just keep thinking of more to do. I'm trying to remind myself to just be present where I'm at as you recommend. I'm also trying to remind myself that it's my first year, it won't be perfect, and a teacher's work is never done! You're doing great and your classroom is gorgeous!!!!

I think a good idea for the head phones on your door would be to cut another shoe holder (if you have an extra lying around) and staple to the bottom. I dont know if that makes sense but seeing as you dont have enough for each student, just a thought. 😊

Your classroom looks great! I love your colors. You said you didn't know why you had to cover your window on your door.?. I believe it is a safety measure in case of a lockdown so no one can see if there is anyone in the classroom. My husband made a cover for my window that has a small door that I can open to see who is at the door before opening it. All of our doors must remain locked throughout the day.

Hey just an IB thing, make sure you call it the Learner Profile, not profiles. It is one thing. We had our evaluation this year and that was one thing our coordinator drilled into us beforehand.
