- In this video get the ford Superduty dana 60 axle completely tore down and inspected before we start cutting off all the baskets for the barnes 4wd truss for the Jeep Wrangler TJ to LJ Conversion.

I finished my TJ to TJ6 (LJ) build in October. I collected parts for several years and it took a year from the time I puled the tub till it drove back out of the shop. There were a few surprises bu they were over come. I was like you and wanted to keep a steering box but it ended up full hydro. Typical super duty axles 40's 14" coil overs. So far I Love the build.
That’s good to know. This has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. What wheelbase did you end up having?
@Ohio Offroad 112" my one big thing I did not account for was using Artec Stretch LJ armor the wheel tubs are longer. I had to section 4" into my wheel tub. I did my 15" in the foot well. So much leg room.

Josh you should look into a bare Fusion4x4 front 60 for your next build. Saves a lot of time for sure! More ground clearance as well as being able to run the 10.1” ring gear for more strength.
Maybe next time. How much do those housing with the knuckles run? And I’m fairly certain you can fit 10” gears in the SD60s now.

@@Ohio_offroad_adventures Its when you add in the gears,locker,shafts,knuckles, and brackets that it gets pricey. 🙂

Where are you ordering your frame and axle mounts from
I’m hoping to be able to make them. I did order some lower link mounts for the d60 axle just because those ones are a different to make.
@@Ohio_offroad_adventures I'm ordering mine from Barns next week. I can't wait to get my YJs front end 3 Linked. I need to find a place locally to make driveshafts. Then it's on to the simple leftovers.
