Looking nothing alike, sounding nothing alike, acting nothing alike, having entirely different hair (colour and style), and even the fact the Masquerade is treated as a male character, even after the reveal. No wonder it was hard to see that coming
i always assumed that the masquerade mask, the transport card and masquerades bakugan where at a hidden location, when they are needed he could call them to him the same way the mask appears before Alice in episode 43 when she needed it to help her friends, its also the same logic as to why his costume would appear or disappear.
Judging from how Alice reacted when Klaus gave her a Darkus Centipide in episode 40 and how terrified she was to even hold a Darkus Bakugan in her hand, I am pretty sure she didn't have Hydranoid with her physically, when he/she was in Alice form. Hydranoid was probably hung between the real world and not-real world, just as Masquerade's personality.
6:10 Extremely important point to mention here. In the original Japanese, Alice actually *_ASKS_* Masquerade for help when she realizes Dan is in trouble. That is why Masquerade's mask appears before her.
In episode 38 could consider his only lost as episode 13 it was 2-1 in 34 it was infinity core power it also his is the only antagonist to defeat all six brawlers of his respective season
I think it's possible Masquerade hid Hydranoid in a pocket or something that either Alice didn't know about it or never used. And if you're around someone long enough, they tend to grow on you, so maybe Hydranoid had spent so much time with Alice that he grew to like her.
Hydra just seems to be loyal to his master and like Masquerade said himself he is Alice so probably in Hydras eyes a change from Masquerade to Alice was more a change of strategy rather than brawler.
Hydranoid amd ultimate both equal in power. Assuming battle condition is kept same. Battle condition also hinder him more bc can't use normal tatics. Now if did not rely on hydra alone he would have won no doubt he would won. Assume hydranoid is summoned or kept with alice.
I like this video, but the reasoning is more theory based. I was thinking more so on the side of whether there were ability cards that Masquerade had access to at the time but didn't use being the reason why he lost. The way I see it, Masquerade lost fairly in Ep. 38, unlike most of the fights between Spectra and Dan, where the writers just didn't allow Spectra to use half his ability cards.
I don’t know if he was exhausted from his previous battles. I think it really was down to dragos evolution and like you mentioned his lack of knowledge. Masquerade wasn’t as composed didnt have as many strategies as usual compared to there last battle it was simply a case of drago and Dan being the better brawlers at that point and masquerade left in defeat.
Well, we don't know if Masquerade had to split his time between his two forms equaly and if spending too much time in either Masquerade's or Alice's form was physically exhausting for him/her. If yes - then it makes sense that he lost to Dan, but it's only a theory.
To be fair Dan and Drago were bound to win the 3rd battle. First time they sort of tied and 2nd time Dan and Drago lost. The entire Doom Dimension part of the first season was about growing. This growing gave them the edge over Masquerade to win the 3rd time.
The same was with Spectra in "New Vestroia", at least in the beginning. Spectra won first battle, Dan won second battle and third battle ended in a tie. Unfortunately they kinda ruined it later when Spectra kept losing to Dan.
You never explained how Masquerade should have won you just explained how he was during the battle? I was expecting Masqueradeplayed the wrong ability card in certain moment
I don't agree with the affirmation that masquarade was tired and hydranoid too just because he fought wavern and exedra. What about Dan? He was sent 11 episodes ago in the doom dimension, fought apolonir, all his friends , and was still 100% ready to take down alpha hydranoid.
Alice being Masquerade is one of the best plot twists in anime, because who the hell could have seen that coming. Even with all of the foreshadowing
GREAT JOYSTICK JESSE BAKUGAN MASQUERADE SHOULD HAD HAVE WIN.

4:56 is legit Masquerade’s best moment in the whole show

I feel like masquerade probably made Hydranoid appear out of energy when he takes over like his mask and clothes

Loving this analysis hope it’s a series

Their bond was special in my opinion.

Knowing masquerade's ego and blind thirst for power brought his downfall is satisfying

This is kinda similar to Magnus from the reboot except the fact that Magnus never lost to brawlers

I want to know how Masquerade flew in from Moscow every other episode
He could teleport
@@JoystickJesse wait is it actually that simple?
I always wondered why Alice has a German surname if she is Russian
@@Cubus-zapasowy I think the name is completely made up and just happens to sound German
@@wtfox8206 Except all other characters have Japanese surnames: Kuso, Misaki, Marukura, Kazami, Makimoto. Alice doesn't

I think battle would just end in draw or him barely winning. I don't he going beat dan easily.

Actually, Ultimate Drago and Alpha Hydranoid are equally strong. Drago won because of gate card pyrus reactor.
They were equal g power wise but they nerfed hydranoids fusion ability
