  • Today I have great pleasure to introduce you to the newest car camera crane from Tilta, which is Hydra Mini Arm.
    This equipment is remarkable not only because it is incredibly cheap compared to others, but also much smaller and more portable. How does it work and what results can you achieve with this equipment? you will see in this video.
    Besides a regular overview of what's in the box, you'll also find some tips about setup of Tilta Hydra Mini Arm and how to use it, and most of all, I want to teach you some fundamentals about SAFETY because this is the most important point in using this kind of equipment.
    be sure to watch this video :
    Some of the footage comes from the video, which I recommend everyone to watch “Kokush U.Crane” - • Kokush U.crane FullHD (btw. I have no idea where to find the English version)

    Thank you sir! Very interested in the fact that you were able to shorten the arm by leaving out a section, and I'm curious about that shield you have mounted behind the 4d, presumably to protect from debris and wind.

    Please which ECOflow model did you use, Tilta has no power block recommendations and when I called ECOflow the lady I spoke with did basically recommended a 2 block system for any 220v usage

  • @ericwu0318
    @ericwu0318 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yes, long raw footage is what I want to see! I'll say that putting on R2 is a bit too much for the arm...? I can see small shakes due to hitting the swing limit, but the footage is really useable!

    • @BestboyAdam
      @BestboyAdam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is true, you can see a slight vibration but it was the result of bad settings in ronin 2, remember it was the first test drive with ronin 2 pro. After adding strength to the motors and advanced settings (filters, smothness etc) everything was smooth 💪

    • @ericwu0318
      @ericwu0318 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BestboyAdam Cool! Now I am wondering if you setup the arm shorter, then it should means that the payload could be larger than 10kg? This opens up more possibilities and makes the rig safer in a weird way.

    • @BestboyAdam
      @BestboyAdam  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      oooo yes, for sure. I just need to calculate exactly how much the payload will be then but I need someone more knowledgeable to do that 😅 As soon as I find out I'll let you know

  • @alpenfoxvideo7255
    @alpenfoxvideo7255 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I still have problems sometimes with the Alien Arm, sometimes the RS2 starts to wobble the pan axis slightly and that infuriates me. Even with the motor strength at its minimum

    • @n5pictures
      @n5pictures ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you. I think it's an RS2 problem, first time I ever tried the Hydra Alien we used an old Ronin MX and that thing was rock solid. Need to do more tests but I suspect the RS2 is not up to the task.

    Hi, What is the speed limit for using this material?

  • @MovingPicturesAfrica
    @MovingPicturesAfrica ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this useful review. Did you measure the power draw of the arm? Tilta's website says 1800wH, but watt hours is a measure of capacity not power, and 1800W seems a bit high. Thanks!

    • @MovingPicturesAfrica
      @MovingPicturesAfrica ปีที่แล้ว

    At this point, would you not think a Drone is a more versatile pick ? You can get way more creative shots compared to a camera car.
    The only limiting factor is Payload Capacity and Max Speed, depending on your rig

    6:58 that is not the way the strap goes in to the ratchet! The belt should always enter the ratchet from outside and leave through the inside. That way it is much easier to undo the ratched when you want to remove it.
