After 65yrs of not targeting crappie, I became an addict this year. I got one of those giants on hair jig I tied a couple weeks ago, something I hope to repeat. Awesome footage!
@@rodneyharrison7107I was on my kayak on my buddies pond, caught a few fish and my yak ended up stuck in a bush as I was unhooking a fish, the inside of this bush was big and spacious, so I would literally just dip my lure in the water and catch them every “cast”, more like just setting it in the water for 2 seconds and boom! A fish on. They’re fun when they’re like that
Thanks Ty! My son and I went fishing last night and we both caught some Largemouth Bass. Wish we could catch some of those epic Crappie you got. Love your videos and the way you represent the joy and passion of our sport.
Holy cow! makes me wish I was crappie fishing where you fish, but its okay, have lots to do at home. Making progress and taking a break watching this, part of the task is sorting past fishing trip messes and retying lures, untangling the snells, packing them securely for the the next fish hunt to catch and cook. Your videos are always inspiring! Thank you!
Huge units! The last one might be the biggest I have seen. The second-to-last one was huge and also possibly the most beautiful crappie I've ever seen caught. Great stuff.
All about them angles. And you and mini mike are one of the best at em. Awesome black crappie, of a life time. Depends who’s life. Great video as always. Well put together. Keep slaying the numbers 👍😎✌️🎣🎣 Happy Fishing
What an unbelievable catch , that crappie was the fish of a lifetime. Thank you for the great video you are truly an amazing angler. Tight lines my friend 🙏👍
about 6 eons, or 40yrs ago, a guy caught a 4lb crappie out of shreve lake, close to wooster ohio. a 5lb bass is a trophy in ohio. still dont know how to classify a crappie of that size? fing huge category maybe? miss fishing.
When guys say that 5 is a trophy in Ohio I chuckle a bit because of all the 6+ pounders I've caught. Not to mention the 5-6 14 + pounders just found in the lake this year by biologists hydro shocking. All I'ma say is from Cambridge Ohio and down all along the boarder between Ohio and Virginia you can definitely catch some monsters
I grow up catching dozens of smallmouth in the 3 to 4lb range each season on the Cuyahoga one or two might break the five pound mark. Musky fishing Leesville I've caught two 7lb largemouth casting huge top waters, mind you unintentionally. Maybe the fisheries have improved that much or maybe the technology is better. Caught some giant crappie in West Branch, Ladue, and Hodgson. Never fished the Ohio but have always wanted to. Nothing like fishing rivers and creeks. Happy fishing, brother
I thought it might be boring watching them all again. No, definitely not. I'm glad I watched it again. I remembered the one when you said "WHAT the??" Lol One thing that amazes me about some of the videos: like that giant crappie, it was so full of energy, got caught, and then it just totally relaxed. It still had tons of energy when you put it in the water. But, it's almost like it was mesmerized. It definitely was not in shock, you would know it if it was in shock that's for sure. It was mesmerized, like maybe playing it off, playing it cool? I am leaning towards the theory that it was actually mesmerized.
Great fish handling skills btw always gotta have a bro you can trust loved the way he picked the fish up unhooked it and handed it to you while showing the camera!!!
That is the most Beautiful Crappie I have ever layed my eyes on! Congratulations! But you deserve a Congratulations on about everything you catch. I honestly am not sure you are capable of catching a small fish like I used too. I thought 15" and 2 1/2lbs was big. You're the Man Ty!😊
new to the channel as of typing this, and holy smokes did I not expect that first and last catch. almost spilled my diet dr pepper on my laptop. Hell yeah!!!
definetely a nice crappie, i caught a 17 inch crappie when i was 7 or 8 years old while just playing around with an artificial worm, that was a very fun memory
That looked like a private pond, maybe even a catch and release one. They all looked like they expected to be released. I have never seen crappie that large! Very well fed, and predator/competition free it would seem. Impressive catches none the less.
Perfect fillet knife size . I have 50 on ice right now I caught yesterday and today combined . 3 over 15” 1 almost 16” . Hitting the freezer with them .
One of my old professors had a pic of one like that at Sinclair, believe it was a white crappie. I have caught some close to those in a 4 acre pound back in high school. Those were very impressive! They are out there if the bait and conditions are right.
Pulled 6 crappie in about 45 minutes day before yesterday.... ultralight fishing is just as fun as going for bigguns. I also landed and a 7-8 pound channel cat on my 5' ultralight....INSANE!!!! Had to fight him like a tuna and let himself run out of steam and finally land him
Avid fisherman from New Jersey and crappie is some seriously good eaten fish….. I’ve been fortunate enough to catch a few big ones like this in my local river that I live on. And we also have one lake that’s very abundant with crappie. It’s actually a lake that you can eat the fish out of… nothing like a 7 foot use light tackle in line and getting a dozen or two crappie now that’s a day of fishing…
The world record Black Crappy was caught a few mile down the road from where I live in East Tennessee. It's was 5lbs 7.68oz and 19.25 inches long. Caught by Lionel Ferguson
Got a 20 1/2 inch crappie on the wall.. took a 3 inch bluegill on a Lindy rig.. had even bigger one up in N MN.. the monsters come out after sunset when there’s still color in the sky
Great fish!!! Wish you would measure them though. 17-19”?? We have a lake here in southern Michigan that produces that size class every year. Thanks for sharing 😃🐟🎣
you kniw when the crappues are fatter than the bass yr on the right spot.i caught a few whoppers here at my local lake in md.in November at night.in the 90s..i got 1 on a crawdad crankbait in the rain thst was a tank. i think 20.25 inch. 1 was 19.5 . i havent caught anything big in yrs.i cant fish that spot it was 25 ft deep on a bunch of rocks and the spillway.its dangerous . fish were caught on minnows in November .now i only use lures.
This is the only show that doesn’t insult my character you’re the best show thanks. Kirk
Do you mean intelligence?
wtf are talking about ?? Smh 🤦♂️ too many 💉 boosters 😂😂😂
Thanks for watching Kirk!!!
how about not fishing, is boring and for rednecks just play fortnite
You got issues if you feel like watching any video insults your character. Do you realize how narcissistic that sounds. It's not all about yoy kirk😅

If find a school you can catch them every single cast. That's how I got hooked for life. Happy fishing
@@rodneyharrison7107 I got a dozen 10-13" keepers in about an hour the other day. Fun and great eating.

That last 1 is truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen anywhere …. Really has held the Crappie king title of TH-cam ever since it dropped
Thank you very much Justin, I actually caught one bigger and the video didn’t get many views. It was 19” and fat, this one was 18 and skinny

That crappie is definitely a “bass hunter killer” geezus that’s huge, & that many in that area, you lucky dawg…..😅❤
It is actually wild how you continue to catch giant fish over and over everywhere you go
I’m honestly shocked this doesn’t have more views. The thumbnail alone had my jaw on the floor!!!!
That is a straight beautiful slab of a crappie man! Awesome catch!
