Sounds beautiful to me….my first car was an ‘83 cutlass with a 350 rocket and straight pipes so this brings back nostalgia. I can smell the fumes and black ice car freshener just listening to this😄
Just for fun id like to see a resonator delete on one side and muffler delete on the other side of the two exhaust sections. Just to hear what it sounds like.
@@JJones2099 You can't get that with the Hemis straight piped. you'll need some muff for that, but i've have yet to hear one that doesnt sound raspy on those Hemis. The Magnums, (4.7/5.2/5.9s) they naturally have that low lumpy chop/bass, like the old cigarette boats. Especially if you run Spintech Mufflers on them. I don't know how Dodge managed to F up the stock exhaust regarding measurement of the tips!! Look at the driver's side exhaust tip VS the passenger side. Driver's side is sucked in and passenger side is sticking out farther. It's like this on ALL SRT and even the RT Tow N Go which uses the SRT exhaust. Unreal! I got mine fix because I modified my system already thanks to this channel! EDIT: Let's make a bet that he comes back because the drone and it sounds just like loud noise! I have 2 weeks and he'll be back! Over / Under?
As a professional exhaust shop you should always recommend against x-pipe removal unless the customer insists. A. because it sounds like shit. B. because it reduces performance. And if its already old school true dual, sell and install them an Xman pipe!

A greedy dishonest shop owner just tries to up sell everything in sight then has the customer come back and spend more money to make adjustments. You sound like the type of person who is the latter of the two. In the end the honest business man gets higher volume business by word of mouth and that is the best and proven cheapest form of advertising. So ya, call me or my opinion stupid Borat. To be clear I am not accusing exhaust addicts of bad business practice but I've seen a few things here that could be improved upon IMO.
For one, the customer should research what they want and figure out for themself what they are getting into. For two, how would you know that he doesnt recommend leaving the x-pipe? Just because its not in the video doesnt mean he doesnt mention it to the customer. For three, some people (like myself) actually like the sound of true dual exhaust, and think x-pipes sound like shit. And some people are willing to sacrifice 2 horsepower for their car to sound the way they want. And lastly, the durango’s and jeep GC dont even have a factory x-pipe to begin with. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean i cant like it. My charger has a true dual exhaust and isnt any slower than when it had the x-pipe, and it sounds menacing imo.

My cats gave out and broke and muffler shop said it be best to cut them off and it sounded really good but was completely straight piped and after a while it started to make that clapping noise which is cringe. Haven’t decided if I should just sell it or put some mufflers on. An 03 Sierra 5.3
I had a 97 Chevy Silverado I made a mistake one time when I cut the cats off on my truck started burning more gas and then I started having all kind of error codes check engine light kept coming on the GMC truck I have now when I first bought it put dual exhaust on it without no mufflers this time I left the cats on it sounded good without the mufflers but after a while I got tired loudness that's when I decided to put two long Cherry bomb glasspacks it's still loud but not as loud like it was now I got a good deep tone to it
Another thing to remember is that these cars have 8 speed transmissions. I have a straight pipe on my 21 Ram 1500 and it will wake the neighbors at 4k+ RPM, but it is dang quiet going 80 mph at 1.5k rpm. Makes it fun to step on, but not get you ticket if you are light on the pedal.
I think resanator tips would help the x pipe? That's just the newer Dodge engine for ya. Put that same setup on amything else and it won't sound the same.
Oh hell No! This is getting way too far out of hand. You can barely hear this truck and sounds no different than a stock Chrysler Voyager, and that's a damn shame 🤔 Owner should have just run open manifolds, which is hands down the best setup and provides optimal back pressure and reduced toll road fees on these 2021 Dodge Durango SRT 6.4L's.
Only issue I have with Ryan’s comment was the Voyager was the under the Plymouth name , Dodge was Caravan while Chrysler is the Town and Country as well as Pacifica .
I have a 21 srt and there's no way I'd do straight pipes. The drone is going to be unbelievably bad. That's why everybody at least does an x pipe with high flow resonators or bullet mufflers on the Durango's

It’s a shame they turned these durangos into a unibody with independent rear suspension. The sound definitely doesn’t match the look. It’s not a truck anymore.
I understand the appeal of loud. I don't understand the appeal of loud crap. Do what you want with the car you paid for, to be sure, but I'll never understand the appeal of paying money for this. Paying money to make your $90,000 SUV sound like someone recorded a 1990s base model Civic with a fart can on it, pitched it down, and dubbed in the sound of clapping cheeks overtop of it.
