I’ve learned that you always have to do a rear delete before a mid, unless it’s like the chargers and challengers with a smaller rear resonator

Pretty much the only motor that sounds good with no mufflers or resonators.
I just had my Durango rt done last week. I listened to a million different videos and decided to do a rear resonator delete with 2.5” piping and 4” black tips. It had a nice DEEP tone with no rasp and it sounds incredible at wide open throttle. If you get another Durango rt customer, have them look in to that setup. It’s not as raspy as the mid muffler delete and not as obnoxious as the straight pipes

The straight pipe enhances that American muscle cars while the muffler delete sounds kinda like some continental muscle cars. And I love both of them.

I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee 5.7. Completely straight but added flow master super 10 in place of the suitcase sounds amazing.

New subscriber 👍 straight pipe sounds awesome! With my 2017 Durango rt I went true dual with two flowmaster super 10 and had the two resonators cut off. I just might go straight pipe! And no drone 👏
How much does all that cost?
They both sound fine, and the straight pipe setup seems louder down low, bc it is, but I promise you, higher in the rpms, the delete is louder, it's raspier, ask me how I know.
The delete sounds so good in higher rpm, but i'll admit, the delete sounds funky with the little revs, It's bc those mufflers weren't designed for that much flow, so they crackle hard, plus the tune won't allow a full rev.
Incase yall don't know, exhaust breaks in. That's right, they do, I've had too many setups, often one off builds. The heat eventually gets to the metal, and the tune changes a bit.
Some systems get louder, some quieter.
My deleted Durango isn't as loud or as crackly as it was a year and a half ago, in the high rpms and downshift, it screams louder than 3" stuff, deep muffler, big tips, or all the above.

Any reason you didn't do an X-pipe on the muffler delete? Also, as you know I have the new 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go which has the SRT Performance Exhaust included. I want a little more deeper, throaty growl.... what should I do? I was thinking remove the mid-muffler suitcase, install X-pipe and add 2 Dynomax Race Bullets....OR... should I just remove the 2 rear mufflers and leave the suitcase.....OR..... remove 2 rears, keep suitcase, but add those 2 race bullets.....OR...... Got me a ‘20 RT as well, I ended up reducing the size of the mid muffler, & replacing the rear resonators with magnaflow glass packs. Gives off the sound of a straight piped hemi, with little to no drone. Can’t go wrong! Good luck

They should of cut the 2 mufflers in the back instead of the middle one. It wouldn't have the weird noise

I cut off both mid and res. Replaced the res with flow master outlaws. Straight pipes in place of mid. Your welcome

muffler delete sounds like a v6 pentastar and v8 5.7 mixed together
On the muffler delete he definitely needed an x pipe or h pipe to balance out the sound
Keep the muffler, get rid of the resonator, and it sounds ten times better.
Glasspacks are even better, for my taste.

Personally, I would just do a straight pipe to my rt, the muffler delete in person sounds to raspy , I’m thinking about just straight pipe or exhaust system. If you thought about getting a muffler delete guys just save to get a straight pipe or exhaust system.
Or swap mid mufflers with a performance mufflers like dynamax or glass pack

I did a Magnaflow glasspack and have a xpipe the drone between 2k and 3k is crazy loud in the cabin... Sounds really good though.... More deeper tone and no rasp.

Only problem with straight pipe is lack of back pressure. Need se performance mid mufflers to edge is off
it should have enough since it still has the factory cats and manifold.
Have a 2019 R/T. Do yourself a favor, if you remove the suitcase do set of mini bullets inline on each side. It’s sounds way too raspy and like crap without them. With the mini bullets it’s still loud and you get the V8 crawl back.

No. Suitcase removed and mini bullets installed in place of it. Resonators still in place in the rear. It’s broken in now for a few thousand miles and I’m happy with the sound.

nice work! well, i did away with the resonators on my 300S Hemi, and put super 10s in their place, and it's too loud, and drones inside! 😬do anyone think a set of Delta flow 40s in the middle will kill the drone? any suggestions appreciated . i only swapped out the rear ones cus after a muffler delete it was still too quiet, thought the Super 10s would be about right, but like i said, drone is killing me! thanks
Instead of just a muffler delete why not a straight pipe and don't replace the mufflers with flow masters. If you want something quieter try 40 series, or get magna flows

That’s what I did to my 2016 JGC SRT Suitcase/resonator delete add x-pipe and rear muffler/resonator delete and i think it sounds good and people tell me all the time how mean it sounds
