There are things with colors and shapes that one couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for. This..... is a quintessential example. I am gobsmacked.
These are the Ferraris I grew up appreciating through my war time Dad. I do admit I found the Boxers and 308s more visually exciting as a 5 year old at the first Australia Ferrari meetings I attended but not many years later I realized the pre Daytona cars are the real Ferrari road cars. These Vignales are my favorite if I had millions I would have one over anything manufactured after the 70s
There was a time in my life that I thought all Ferraris were red with fins and wings. Post war coach built ones are true works of art. Thanks for watching.
Jon, I just found your channel, and I'm glad I did. That Ferrari is gorgeous. I have a question. Do you ever worry about driving rare and expensive cars like this Ferrari?
I don't worry about it, but I am conscious of the value of the assets I'm entrusted with. When we take the cars out for road tests or exercise we stay close and drive in familiar areas at times during the day with less traffic. Glad you liked the Ferrari there's more to come. Thanks for watching.
Thank you! Was unaware of this model. Enjoyed the virtual drive. Not sure about leaf spring in front. Would have thought Ferrarri would have used independant or wishbone. Maybe he had a special way to make it work? What a lovely automobile. Thank you gentlemen for a thoroughly drooling experience. I still think i like Elena best.
Chris, your very welcome glad you enjoyed the video. The 212 front end is independent with a transverse leaf mounted low between the lower arms; the 250 chassis is a big upgrade. The Elaena's were a continuation of the low roof Boano's that is actually a Pinin Farina design. Stay tuned there is a 1956 Alloy Boano 250 in the collection that may show up on a future video. Thanks for watching.
It does remind me of the Volvo P-1800. I love the sheer simplicity of the flowing design, the choice of colors, and above all, it is without all of the F22/35 ductwork, in spite of all of the chrome used. However, the glorious noise coming from that Columbo motor, without all of the smog hoses and electronic enhancements, is worth its weight in gold alone!
So it drives like a better than average 50 year old car. Nostalgia of driving an old car lasts for about the first fifty miles, then it starts to remind you how much old cars suck in comparison to modern cars.
Paul, I don't think "Suck" is the correct term here. Yes, it's more primitive and less refined but just like vinyl records have an appeal over digital recordings so does this, personally if I'm given the opportunity to drive one of these more than 50 miles I'm doing it with out a second thought. Remember sometimes its about about the journey and not the destination. Thanks for watching.
Vignale and Ghia we the most artistic and decorative of the post war Italian coach builders. Vignale always did a great job of bringing Giovanni Michelotti designs to life. Thanks for watching
@ Thanks! Can’t say there are any Italian coach builders of the 1950s/1960s that I don’t like! Shame Ford bought both Ghia and Vignale and used the names on tarted up versions of their pedestrian vehicles.
Toni, although I'm a professional in the automotive world I am very much an armature and am still learning the video production and editing. I appreciate your critique will keep it mind for future videos. Thanks for watching.
Clocks are not metric. The French (?!) tried metric clocks based on a 10 hour full day. Each full day had 10 hours, each hour 100 minutes and, you guessed it, each minute had 100 seconds. It just wasn't practical and never caught on.
Besides the V12 Engine, and the 5 Speed, My 55 MG ZA Magnette is more advanced, with Double Wishbone Front Suspension with Coil Springs and Telescopic Shock Absorbers , and Rack and Pinion Steering ……..Now if I could just squeeze one of those Engines into my Engine Bay. !!

The most legendary Mullet on the internet .. 10/10..
Thank You, it's been my hairstyle of choice since 1985. I only wish that you tube had a performance and ranking metric for hair styles.
Nice 2,65 Liter V12 Car!
Sadly its illegal in Switzerland from 2025 to use Gas or diesel vehicles on Mountain passes
Glad you liked it, Thanks for watching.
Hmm, I'll have to take your word on that one. I asked Goggle out of curiosity and didn't find anything about that. Anyways, Thanks for watching
i came for the mullet, and stayed for the car!
Thanks for stopping by the channel, I've been "Rocking the Mullet" since 1985

Squint your eyes and you see a Karmann Ghia, especially in the rear quarter.
Wow!
Glad you liked it, Thanks for watching.
Why does irrelevant music prevent you from hearing the narration?

Pensare il parco auto del 1953.... Quella Ferrari era un'astronave
Dopotutto era l'era dei razzi... Grazie per aver guardato.
Sounds like the Fiat 2300S Coupe Abarth
A symphony of Italian sound only found in a V12 musical. Thanks for watching

Bob, agreed the 212 chassis is a little primitive; best of luck with the MG engine upgrade. Thanks for watching
I understand these are old cars….But they don’t look like they are nice to drive….It is beautiful though.
They are sculpture in motion, primitive by todays standards, but still a joy to drive. Thanks for watching.
5.56min 😮😢
Yeh, I know big guy small Italian sports car; I's a running theme on the channel. Thanks for watching.
@jondega OMG...that makes it even more worse ! 🦅
According to Babvvo and Tebbvo sadly soon All Gas cars will be illegal in EU and USA!!
