I am delighted with this video and what has happened with the 250 GTE market. When I was 13, I briefly assisted with one in a Foreign car garage during the Summer of 1967. It is indeed, a gentleman's GT car and not a hot rod. As Ferrari's accelerated in value in the 1970's and 1980's, the 250 GTE was seen as a donor car to make 250 GTO, Testa Rossa, and California Spyder replicas. The GTEs were around $20,000 (or less) and innumerable ones were lost in this destructive process. I'm encouraged to see that values (maybe because of the loss of the mass of cars to replicas) have climbed to 500k US and we don't see this cannibalism as much anymore (actually folks seem to be doing that to 365s etc). My father had an Islero and his best friend had a 250 GTE and a DB4 Aston. Possibly because of the Islero, and the fact that two Miuras hit my town in 1967, I've always been a Miura guy... but not to the exclusion of Ferrari. It's not either or... I love vintage Ferraris and my favorite is the covered headlight TdF.... there was a 1958 example near my home that sold for $1800 in the mid-70's. I could have afforded it then, but it would be a stretch to get the TdF now. I see that their prices have come down a bit lately... just maybe... ;-)
I owned a Ferrari 365GTB/4 in the late '90s, but the sweetest Ferrari I have ever driven was a friend's 250GT SWB, the ex- Sir Stirling Moss TT winning car, chassis no. 2735GT. With light and communicative steering and a fingertip gearshift action it was the antithesis of the Daytona, which required firm and measured inputs and made you feel you had completed a workout after a brisk drive. Modern Ferraris? No thanks.
Unfortunately, the Federal Exhaust Gas Emissions Ban Ordinance BABVVO and the Federal Transport Tourism Emission Restriction Ordinance TEBBVO will soon ban exhaust emissions and transport tourism emissions nationwide!!
I’ve missed your posts so nice to see you are back banging your EV drum. Unfortunately many Governments around the world are backtracking on their commitments to ban ICE vehicles and if you think Mr Trump is going to do anything to harm the Oil & Gas industry (Quote: “drill, baby drill”) when he returns to office in January then you are going to have a very unhappy until at least 2029. Still, please carry on with your posts. It’s like watching a 21st century King Canute

Hope this guy enjoys this beautiful car for many years to come! Happy for him.
Oh, sooo great… for me its the Lusso, but I'm still missing the 3 cars that I'm selling for it…
We believe that one day you will make it!
What a classic beauty, never sell it, pass it down to your son, and he in turn can pass it down to his son or daughter, and so on and so on….
Agreed
