@@princegroove also the lyrics about police brutality are somehow also fresh and relevant! Played it to my wife and she couldn't believe it's 44 years old...
Not only did he include the thps intro, he also included the ps1 startup intro. Fucking amazing. Ps1 intro is by far, the best start up intro of all time! Am I right brothers!
The PS1 intro is one of those sounds you just never forget, instantly sparks memories of playing Gran Turismo or THPS or any other classic from the days before the gaming industry became a degenerate cesspool
@@Wheningoubt Exactly, and it's cd function was amazing too, I used my ps1 as an all in one, stereo system, and game console. And it worked ridiculously good
The PlayStation intro gives me the chills, remember playing this shit in 99 and in April 2000 for my 5th birthday I got my own ps and thps. Was already pro since my uncle had it at the house already
This intro was the first time I'd ever seen skateboarding. I was completely blown away. Also the way they edited Bucky's last trick I always thought he didn't land it haha
have to applaud these guys for working on such an amazing intro but ALSO being good sports about it and having a "blooper" reel added as an unlockable to show how dangerous some tricks were.
Love that intro.Such Nostalgia taking me back to playing this on a ripped PS1 disc as a kid..everything from the soundtrack to the level design was amazing!!!
I can vividly remember as a child, pressing X on my PS1 controller back in the day to skip all the intros and get right to the main menus of the THPS games. 20 years later, I regret doing that and just not enjoying them for what they were worth. Holy nostalgia hearing that Sony Entertainment of America jingle with the pipe flute.
JPfingerskater nah, just cause he does fatter tricks in stay gold, I still think the end is his best part, way more style for one thing. Just more epic in every way. just watch that shit
I have the game for both the N64 and PS1 (mainly for the better soundtrack on the PS1, the intro video, and the small video clips they put on the screens at the specific levels showing skaters and the bands playing their songs). I beat the game on the N64 multiple times and lost the game save because the battery died in the memory card.
One of my favorite games of all time, the first will always have a special place in my heart, don't get me wrong I like the later games too! Now I cannot wait for the remake!
N64 Intro was better, the footage of the skaters in real life is cool but man there's something about the company logos appearing with that hard Police Truck guitar that still gives me goosebumps to this day and then the amazing in-game gameplay starts and is the icing on the cake.
The PS1 version literally smokes the N64 version by a mile. This one is actual video clips compared to the 64 it’s in game footage of the skaters. Plus Nintendo censored and cropped the song to only the solo
I don't remember owning THPS 1, I remember I got most games for PS1 in 2000 and 1 of them was THPS 2. Later I also got THPS 3 & 4 for PS1, some others got them for PS2, but I wasn't the richest kids in this world and even in 2003 I was still playing PS1.
Dead Kennedys - Police Truck
Still sounds fresh and fierce to this day.
Song rips
Can confirm that this is the name of the song that plays in the intro.

Life was so much simpler back then when I used to come home from school and play this all night and have a party in my room lol
I hope you're playing the remake of Tony Hawk 1 and 2. This is like a childhood reunion there.

Elissa steamer thas better than leticia bufoni
My God the nostalgia. And the fact that even this video is over 12 years old now..
One of the best games of the 90s.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Ep 4. IYKYK
Back when trying to get past 0:10 was a godsend
this game... I started skating because of THPS... after few years I broke my arm and stopped ;] still it was fun time.
Krzysztof what were you trying to pull before you wiped out??
@@KGODSMACKC an ollie 😂 😂 😂
That guitar riff gets me every time!!!
pardon my nostalgia-gasm

This game turned all mankind into skaters.
crazy to see Andrew Reynolds in his prime
I would argue his prime was his Stay Gold days
@@trickswithjp agree, This is Skateboarding + Stay gold
JPfingerskater nah, just cause he does fatter tricks in stay gold, I still think the end is his best part, way more style for one thing. Just more epic in every way. just watch that shit
Officer 69 nope. Baker 3 was his absolute prime. Stay gold was his bow from the big leagues imo. The End was his introduction.
I feel like this Neversoft intro is overlooked more then it should.
Kids today don't know how awesome our childhood was because of this game.
Good ol times
Bro I'm so fuckin hyped for the remaster in September
Assistindo em 2022..... Desde 2000..... dá até um frio na barriga.....
Such nostalgia!
Wow just brought back my favorite child hood game yo !!! Those were the fucking days
Nossa que saudade dessa época.
The PlayStation 1 intro always hits so good
wow so many memories.. take me back
Found my old skateboard today, had to go take her out for a spin. This just recaps the old memories from those days
Eramos felices y no lo sabíamos. Que buenos recuerdos.
Awesome and epic GAME! so many hours into it!!!!
OMFG!! i almost cry y__y!
Até hj ..pra mim essa é a melhor
I don’t know what was better nostalgia... the PlayStation startup or the music video for the game start up
I owned this game on N64 so I've never seen this intro
Catman Leche and I remember trying to copy the tricks every skater did on the intro lmao
👌
Man the chills!
its a shame that they didnt include Rodney Mullen on this video game
I think he wasn't available.
+Ch1Frequency He was introduced in THPS2.
Yes.
Maybe his style was too complicated for the game engine, I dont know...
Mabye the game just didn't fit his style cause there was no manuals
1:37 everybody was 5yrs old at my birthday in 1999 and we shouted like we were there in real life
legends never die
recuerdos de mi niñes y mi combo de 1000000 y los 2 minutos sin caerme de la tabla
sooooooooo many memories in less than 2 minuets
who else didn't stop playing this game until they beat it with every character?
The last wall ride is epic

I remember how much I loved the intro song whilst having no idea what it was about and my ma having to drill it into me not to sing it in public 😆
For this game I wanted to learn to ride skate
Wow The n64 version has a different opening since it could support FMV
Wooooooooow aún se me eriza la piel !!!
