99% things of the video is real . There's barely any CG in this video. Even the water and fire . although they made the fire look bigger by effects

Snikers bar : BTS had their own fictional story throughout some former specific MVs and short films. Based on the fictional story, Jhope's mom left him in the amusement park with the snikers bar in his hand when he was a child and never came back. So it represents his trauma about 'fake love'. Water and fire scenes are also related to each character's trauma in the storyline.
You don't need to try to catch up the whole storyline right now. It's little bit difficult for beginner. You can just relax and enjoy music itself🤗

Well, the fire was real halfway, they made it bigger with cgi, also the phone turning into sand was cgi. But yes, most of it was real.

This MV is part of the hidden fictional story line that started in 2015, and runs through some of their MVs.. Each member is associated with certain things... Jimin/water, Suga/fire, V/phones, J Hope/Snickers, etc... We get clues and hints (that have to be researched and studied), that show up in award shows, Twitter posts, "notes" that come in the albums, etc... We have studied astronomy, astrology, Greek gods, blackholes, Jungian psychology, the language of flowers, etc...
There are so many dimensions to the work that BTS does, it's ridiculous! They make us think and analyze and question..

according to the production studio that did this (Lumpens), they actually didn’t use any CG at all! Which is still pretty amazing to me even now. There’s a behind the scenes video for this too, you definitely should watch it, especially if you’re taking film classes. It’s pretty insightful and just inspiring! :D I love how you keep on saying your favorite scenes, without realising that almost everything is you favorite hahaha (same!!) 💕💜

Big Hit never goes to the "simple thing"
I'm not really into K-pop but the reason why I like BTS is not only they're hard workers with humble personalities, but their MVs are so impressive and their LiVE performances are just insanely good. As someone who likes musicals & ballets, I appreciate their crazy performances. I've been to their concerts twice in NJ and it was the best concert that I've ever been to. Such a memorable experience. Armys like to share their talent and this rare beauty of art in the pop industry with others because it is something you shouldn't miss out.
PS. And I wish more people would give them a listen without any prejudice like you do. Thanks.
Let me tell you some things about IDOL: it's a celebratory song about what/who they are: koreans, song creators, music lovers, people who love and know themselves. It has a lot of korean references on the lyrics and the MV so i recommend you to watch IDOL Explained by a Korean by DKDKTV. They are cool english speaking guys :)

BTS main strength is definitely their lyrics and messages. RM is genius IQ gifted with linguistic ability to make impactful lyrics and he keep emphasizing that. They took care of it carefully and deliberately as per their mission from day 1 that they will use Music and Artist for healing. And off course great music, choreo and solid performances goes without saying!

LY: Tear is still my favorite album of theirs (all the others are really great, love them all! especially HYYH era), singularity is my all time favorite song and i dunno why but 134340 is always stuck in my head :)
thank u for being so open for a whole new genre! ^^ i know that there are many saying that bts is not kpop, i agree that the boys are creating something that goes much bigger, deeper and beyond what kpop stands for but it is still different from western music (the good kind of different) and once u fell into their orbit, u dont even wanna get out just because everything they do, the dancing, singing, lyrics is an art form u dont see anywhere. they have built this craft that is so much more and is breaking all kinds of boundaries. its really mind opening and u cant help but to embrace the messages they sent out to everyone who is willing to spend time listening to! ^^
Fake Love will always be my First Love and my first step into K-Pop. I found K-Pop (and BTS) in a really hard time in my life (Having Fake Friends & being friendless after leaving them, the Seperation of my boyfriend after six years relationship) and it helps me a lot and heals my heart in this time. BTS teach me so much - things like Selfcare and Selflove! ❤️ Every time I listen to kpop, especially BTS, it makes me so happy!!! 😊
