Any live versions from Red Rocks are amazing. Also they just released another single called Sacred The Thread!

I believe they wrote this when they were 14yrs old. Recorded it when they were 17 and 20.
I always suggest live at Red Rocks, Age of Man

Good review / reaction. In short, I lived the 60s, 70s. The 80s to me were the last hurrah for real Rock n Roll. Thank You GVF for making real Rock relevant and so damn entertaining again. People are starving for real music. Highway Song was recorded when these guys were teenagers. Give Safari Song a go. There is a great live version you gotta do. They are better live!

They were in high school when they wrote this song. Very young here all teenagers.

For LIVE: Age of Man at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Colorado!!! Make sure to start right at the beginning. Sammy plays the overture, right before the main part of song starts 🙂

Everyone raves over that performance and it is really good, but (SPOILER ALERT!) Sam messed up the keyboard intro a bit. Listen for it and you'll hear it.
He's so talented that I'm surprised to find such a goof. Nobody is perfect but they come pretty close a lot of the time. 😊

Check out Heat Above and Broken Bells, I think you’d enjoy both those songs.

Yayuuuusssssssss! Candlelight Sessions are my favorite video versions of these songs. So real, bcoz it's real. GVF did a lot of extra studio videos during Covid for their fans, bcoz they weren't able to tour. They really are LOVE personified

Yeah, others criticize them for that, but I say what a gift to be able to leap off the backs of a legendary band that is no longer making music and just pay tribute to them, perfectly. Of course their earlier stuff wasn’t the most original, but it got them their start and it really drew a lot of attention. I feel that the unexpectedness of being compared to Led Zeppelin really gave them the confidence to then explore their own sound in later work, but they did it in a way that didn’t lose that classic feel- which in my opinion seems really hard to do, even looking at most pop artists many of them aren’t that original or different from one another, nothing grabbing. I love going back to their old stuff after listening to their Battle at Gardens gate and their recent new releases on repeat because it’s really a testament to how much they’ve evolved and improved as artists. You don’t have to, but I highly recommend that if you continue reaction to start from their earliest album and on up into their most recent album. It really does make you appreciate their talent. And Yes, I also recommend getting into their lives, they are very much a live band and all their songs sound better that way. It’s an experience I have yet to have in person but who knows, maybe this year will be the year I finally get to. 😄

Yeah they were heavily sounding like Zeppelin early on...not so much later.

If you get to see them live, you'll have a great time. I saw the Starcatcher tour in Portland and it was the best concert I've ever been to.

They did a David Bowie cover a few years ago, "The Jean Genie". And to me sounds better than the original. ( Sorry Bowie ) Would love to hear your reaction to it. These guys are immensely talented for their age. Love your reactions! Oh, and another couple bands with the old school sound is Rival Sons and Dirty Honey. Both are really good!

Wow you e gone from the latest single back to their first, which was no 1 in the US for 4 weeks and from their firstEP From the Fires for which they won a granny. They write this whilst still at school, and took stick from some haters, accusations of LZ rip offs, even though they don't do any covers on concert and have never released a cover. They write all their own stuff but if course have been influenced by LZ. You have a lot to catch up on 😅 it will be worth it.

They are just authentic. that's the truth. The come by everything honestly. they inspire & touch hearts, like Queen, Elton John, George Michael, Journey, Bob Seger...so different, yet so much alike. And they stand for everything that is truly good & kind in this world. Peace, Love, Unity & Equality 💞💕💟❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍♥❣ ~ The Peaceful Army 🌹🌹🌹

When the curtain falls, you should like, great video too, & Safari Song Yes best live. They do more like meeting the master these days than highway, in reaction to the haters accusations of LZ rip offs, shame

Yes! One of my faves! So meaningful & I think a rebuke of misogyny in Hollywood (think about how actresses are considered too old for screen & start getting doors slammed in their faces). When Josh screams after the "You could use a little work..." I truly believe he is screaming the frustration of every aging or abused actress throughout time in Hollywood. the double-standard is flabbergasting. Much Love!

@@jodibennett-bradshawrbtmph836I think you're right, but there is a basis in nature for that double standard. Sexual attraction is fundamentally based on procreation, and older men can still procreate whilst older women cannot. 🤷 So while there certainly are beautiful older women (Helen Mirren, anyone?), the male eye will primally tend toward women under 40.
All that being said, I still appreciate older women who stay beautiful (or at least charismatic/intriguing) and don't mind them popping in front of the cam. ❤
