I think it's important that Markus is the one leading Jericho. You're right, he's had it comparatively easy, but that means he can see both sides. He can emphasize with humans because he's seen that they are capable of good, like Carl, but he also understands that they are capable of evil, because he got thrown into a junkyard full of the bodies of his own people. I think someone like North for example is too caught up in her hatred of humans to actually be a good leader. Sure, she wants freedom for androids, but she's also partial to revenge and she seems quite impulsive. Markus is in a position where he can kinda see both sides, and I think that's what qualifies him to be a leader.
Also, I wish there was the option to romance Simon as Markus. They make so much more sense together than Markus and North.

The Kamski Chapter is interesting. He seem's to know that deviant's can exist, but he doesn't seem to have much empathy. Maybe he doesn't have much empathy for humans too. But in the end he is telling us with this exit mechanic in the androids. So it seems like he want's to prevent a war. On the other side, he says to connor "What could be worse to decide between to evils.", it seem's like he has a bit hatred for sentiment beings in general. Indeed a bit mysterious this guy. It seem's like he is a cynic.

Detroit is very close the the Canadian border it's just under Ontario, under the great lakes, so Cara is not far north she could meet the other characters.

I agree that North and Markus relationship is really weird and unintuitive. If your choices align more with a different member of the group, I think they should be the one you talked to about pasts. Like Josh or Simon (he'd just have to come back before the conversation with North, if he is still alive).

Markus' relationship with North has always been a mystery to me. I'm not too partial to her character, so I never play in a way that would indicate romance ... and yet it always somehow ends up there :D

Yeah I get why they had a romance to show that aspect, but there wasn't time given to develop it naturally.

Yeah the Markus North romance feels forced. Especially if, like you said, you haven't done anything she has agreed with. Comes out of nowhere.

I think it is somewhat similar to reality how you only really ever hear people's extreme opinions in the media and on the internet, while the quiet majority of people are just normal human beings with decent opinions. So I think that the public opinion really is supportive of your peaceful revolution, you just can't hear it over all the loud-mouthed hatred.

I really like how much you think about the story. I have already seen you figure out things most other players don't realise until it's spoon-fed to them by the game.
