The top only adds to its beauty. The 97 in my opinion, will be a collector. Even the color. I normally don’t like silver, but this one has a blue hue to it that’s is so appealing. Love the wheels too. This is a true keeper guys!!
Nice vehicle designed for comfortable and quiet highway travel. Most 1997 vehicles have long ago been sold to a salvage yard, the last owner being a teenager who was using the vehicle for pizza delivery. Glad this one has been conserved.
Enjoyed watching the walk a round of that beautiful 1997 Lincoln Towncar. Has to be one last car built in a model year and perhaps this is it. I enjoyed the 6 years I drove my white 1997 Lincoln Towncar. Look forward to the results of the report.
This car is absolutely beautiful! The fact that this car has under 13K is bonkers! Whoever buys this is going to buy a gem! One of my dear friends had a town car like this, he's in heaven now, but I remember how much he loved his town car. Great vlog!
I pleaded with my Father (now in heaven) for him to give me his town car. It had what I call the mercury speedometer. I still can't figure out what year it was. That was more than 30 years ago and Ive wanted one ever since! Im a new subscriber
Anthony do you still have that Cadillac brougham 91 I believe it's kind of it's a dark blue kind of a black love the way it is I'm do you still have it or not but let me know send me a text if you can this is Ed from Atwater Merced I see your video with that caddy seems like it's pretty nice to drive around I've had about five or six caddies myself I just got rid of my getting rid of my Lincoln Mark 8 looking for that four-door I really like that color and the miles on it let me know thank you have a great day go Bengals
In summer of 97 ,we worked at Wixom, Ford, at new paint boot, changing over, to Detroit water, from city of Wixom, we had the plant down for 4weeks, due to the tie in for water, so plant was no shutdown until labor day weekend
06:47 Texas salt free where a 50 year old vehicle will still look assembly line fresh!! That car is BRAND NEW!!! It needs to go into a museum!! I have tiger paw white walls on my 95 Town Car--great tires... That has to be one of the last 1997s, if not the last.... It will be very hard to price that 1997"Texas" and your other 97"Chicago"... Not really anything to compare them to on pricing... very unique and more of a collectors type cars... I would put them both on Ebay and let guys all over the world have a chance to own these national treasures. This would most likely secure each of them into great homes with collectors that will keep them and not "daily" them in salt. I can see both of them going over-seas, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. 05:40 push map lights slightly to make them come on with the doors opening up... pet peeve of mine, nothing wrong- the last person just didn't push the light all the way... In 1997 lots of legit Lincoln "new Town Car every 3-4 year" people saw the new "turtle" 1998 coming out soon("ugly, no key pad, no hood ornament) and they immediately put in an emergency order for a new "old body" 97.... 07:35 cruise control deactivation recall done already... 07:37 new intake manifold. All 1996, 97, 98, 99, 00, and 01 left the factory with full total plastic intake manifolds. I seriously doubt this intake broke, it was likely changed as precautions( I see you mention the intake at 09:11)... Most late 97s got a full size matching spare tire/wheel as Lincoln was trying to "use up all the left over wheels" that could not be used on the new body 98... Those "spring edition" wheels are very rare. 12:36 my First Town Car was a 1995 just like that one. Absolutely beautiful.... night lighting with that interior is so elegant. Great video, beautiful cars and a beautiful life you have!!!
Had a black 97 with grey interior.best riding car i ever had.plastic intake manifold did split and car ran hot from fluid loss.i was close to home so it wasn't a big problem.i would like to have that one you are showing.they are some of the best cars ever made.i went through a acrimonious divorce in 2009 so i sold the 97.broke my heart but I'm making it.stay safe people.
I've been following you on Instagram for a while now. Just found your channel. I really hope it goes to a enthusiast who garages it and not some halfwit who will put 20 inch rims on it.
Hi bro I have been a jeweler for 45 years and you love what you do as much as i loved my jobs retired now.bought the Seville convertible from you ttysoon
The car is near flawless. If it's the last one, then it may be a keeper. In any event I'm buying an extra lottery ticket. Amazing find Mr. Gozzo, keep leading the way.
You're 97 Lincoln Town car the gray with the vinyl top black it is really nice I think you had to put up in the auction and the highest bidder or still it out right and let the people who are seeing your videos let them have first pick on it because we see your videos it would be nice that your public would be the first one to have first bid thank you Anthony this is Ed from Atwater Merced California take care keep us up on date on your course Cadillacs and Town cars you got an awesome video speak up a little more on your videos you speak down to low sometimes take care Anthony say you had a papa bear
Beautiful Car with 12,000 Miles. Maybe someone would want to keep it as something that will just go up In Value.. As far As a daily driver it's one of the last car's I would want to buy. It's A tank and way to big. But that's Me. I'm not trying to knock it down Someone else will see it and not be bothered with the massive size. You have to admit It screams the 90's. Beautiful Interior.
Your garage kinda reminds me of a plastic surgeon’s waiting room. “I’m just in for a little work “ That Lincoln is really something. The only flaw that I can see is that it’s in your garage and not mine. Good health to you and your family.
I worked at Ford during this time and was in & out Wixom assembly a lot. (Wixom, MI) The vehicle in the video was likely built just after Labor Day 1997. There were several town cars that were built & parked behind the plant, then one day they were all gone. That’s all I remember. The FN145 that replaced this one was junk, fit/finish bad, & the trans was clunky. It shared the same engine and trans as the Mark 8. The Continental had the same basic engine as the other 2, yet de-tuned for a FWD. Nice car in the video, good luck whatever you decide to do with it.
98 trans fixed all the problems from the earlier ones. I have almost 200K on a 98 mgm original everything. Trans shifts better than new Ford truck I test drove. Also have a 95 conti from wixom still very good!
Hey Anthony wow that is really incredible. You must have great Lincoln in Cadillac karma to be able to find these gems! I was thrilled to see your thumbnails pop up!
Incredible looking car. The wheels it's hard to say could have been a case of having leftover of those and no more of the fall ones. Possibly even at the dealer level they were taken off a car as part of the first sale. To get aftermarket ones or a different style oem ones. I had a used 98 and was able to get a new set of the chrome 16 oem rims with protective film still on them. Guy I bought them from got them from a ford/lincoln dealer where a good amount of buyers would take delivery of new cars with aftermarket rims. Not sure if he worked there or just had a setup with them.
Dude! Hang onto that thing, drive it and enjoy it!! That beautiful car was built to be driven, not sitting!! I had a 1997 Lincoln Town Car Signature just like this one only green and I really regret selling it and I want it back! If you really do have the last 1997 LTC, don't sell it! Somebody will put it into a museum and it'll never see the road again!
Really good car, historically important thing. Understand you happiness very well. I have an LTC Signature of 2011, 04 month. The last half year producing.
That would be awesome if it was the last one ever built. That would be a keeper for life. It also reminds me of why you can never trust dates of production to determine a model year. I manage an auto parts store & I always tell my guys to ask for the VIN, and only ask for the DOP if the part in question asks for it. My uncle had a 2000 Taurus that was DOP 9/00, same situation as this Town Car. I had a 2006 Mercury Montego that was DOP 6/05. A friend of mine in high school had a 2008 Scion tC that was DOP 3/07! The craziest one I ever remember seeing was a 1995 Mazda Millennia, first model year for those, DOP was 11/93!!! Had to have been one of the first ever built.
Hey Anthony and Papa Bear, what an amazing find. That '97 Lincoln Town Car is truly MAGNIFICANT. The color combination is stunning... In my book, that would be a "keeper".
I would pay it forward to someone who can't compete with big bucks guys. That's me. And my opinion. Struggling and never owning new as my dad did, we grow to appreciate it super low mileage find. That never comes in ones life time. I pray 🙏 you feel this to whomever you sell it, too. I'm glad to see your finds and the caddilacs you find they are back from my day I won't settle for a small or a full size car I love boats or land yacht is its called today. I couldn't afford it but glad to see them. Maybe one day I will hit the lottery and go after one, the 97 for me is the last year of the largest lincoln for that time era.. Hopefully, this car will go to a deserving person, not a privileged one. .. whatever you do with it. Give it a heart felt decision. Heck it might be gone now since I've written this 13 days later.. lol God bless you papa bear and the family....
Sell it on Bring a Trailer. This car was someone's pride and joy. It was garaged and only driven on special occasions. What a great find. Hi to Papa Bear!
Sell it Anthony and Papa, that is a great car, and you can't beat those southern cars with no rust, and hey....I don't know why anyone would dislike the carriage top on those cars, they add a little extra something to them!!! Keep up the good work I love your channel!!

That is an amazing Town Caw! I wouldn't be surprised if FoMoCo had an overwhelming requests to extend production, because loyal customers wanted a last chance at their favorite Town Caws. And it allowed them to use up remaining supply stock maybe?
yeah I'm from Pittsburg that's a beautiful car I would say that car is worth ten Grand maybe even more with that low-mileage in the condition that it's in
In a lot of cases that top might not work but on that car in that colour it works for me. Neat that it's right near the end of the run. We had a 90, 95 and a 97 all bought used. All driven until the wheels were square. Great cars and our favourits. Currently we have a 2004.
I quit Wixom Assembly 9/12/97. I can’t remember if we’d switched to the new body style by then or not. Had been running FEU’s down the line of the new body style in the summer. Normally our changeover would be August. Surely a late car.
@@rustythebailiff9785 Thanks! Mostly good, landed at a good company. That last summer at Wixom, I remember talking with a coworker saying, “No one should have to live like this.” Then, finally, the thought, “I don’t have to live like this!” formed in my head. My first boss at Wixom explained when I hired in that assembly plants were the only places in the world where they let the inmates run the asylum. I learned later that he was dead serious, it’s not a joke. Hope you are doing well and found a better place after Wixom.
I always thought the 1998-2002 Lincoln Town Cars had that oblique "1941 Batmobile"/Owl grille ( from the 1940s comic books). My 1970 Cutlass Supreme was built in September 1969 in Fremont, California. The 1997 Lincoln Town Car was truly a fine luxury automobile. The 2003-2011 were excellent also. During the Great Recession in 2008 my dealership took in a 2003 Town Car with 34,000 miles. The customer bought a new Mazda3 that in reality got the same gas mileage as the Lincoln! We allowed $6,400 for the Lincoln.
Hey Anthony & Papa Bear, this late 97 Town Car is stunning & very special indeed!!! My guess is that the old girl special ordered this car & really pampered it. I can't wait to see what the Marti report tells you!!! Thanks for sharing your latest purchase & for the update on some of your other cars!!! 👍👍🙂
Anthony, that car is beautiful, the last of what I consider a real Lincoln. Those whitewall tires and canvas top finish that car off! You have as usual a great find! Best to you and Dad,and family! Thanks for another great video.
I thought I remember there being a special edition that literally was just these wheels on a silver car with a gray interior. I vaguely recall this. What an incredible car. Think Bring A Trailer or Cars and Bids would be your best market for this. What an incredible find.
At this point, Anthony, you're a unicorn dealer. HOW are these beautiful low mileage gems still around? WOW! It's great that we still have these around so the younger generations (SUV/crossover lovers) can see what made the Lincoln legacy what it is.
I believe this car was a leftover at the plant but, was not sent out to the public because it was going down the assembly line when the change over of dates accursed while it was assembled. Someone who is retired assembly line worker maybe to answer this question.
Perhaps make contact with the LCOC Lincoln Continental Owners Club, they'll have experts in these models and maybe know a collector who'll want to buy it.
Anthony I think final year cars have extended production so the car makers can use up as many parts as possible. I had an '85 Olds Delta 88 Brougham. It was highly optioned. It was produced in August of '85. I never saw an '85 Delta with that late of a production date. Mine was probably one of last to roll off the assembly line too. Beautiful Lincoln by the way. I'm jealous.

I like the 97 town car only thing I don't like is if the dash stops working it's my only draw back to it other wise I love it
What you should do with that Lincoln I think depends on the results of the reports
When I was at ford we called it the bat-mobile and not in a respectful manner..
I need deeper pockets. The Electra and the Mercedes are both favorites. 😍😍
I use to have a '97, loved that car, my favorite year!
I have1997 Lincoln town car Cartier edition it has 620k miles and it still works fine
Hey Anthony and papa 👴🏻 🐻 I love the Lincoln town car The color and the carriage roof major plus good find Anthony 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
By the way, I like the content you provide in your videos. You are amazing
Thanks for another great video.
i noticed the unique wheels right off .. i like them ! looking forward to the numbers report
Anthony, you should have handled the interior of this immaculate car in white gloves, as they do in Japan.;)
I thought I remember there being a special edition that literally was just these wheels on a silver car with a gray interior. I vaguely recall this.
What an incredible car.
Think Bring A Trailer or Cars and Bids would be your best market for this. What an incredible find.
It's a keeper Anthony!!
I hope you make a video of your marti report
What a beautiful car, and even more so with so few miles on the odometer.
Chk that air intake on the passenger side by the windshield cowl. Once the seal is dried out water gets in the passenger side, front to back.
At this point, Anthony, you're a unicorn dealer. HOW are these beautiful low mileage gems still around? WOW! It's great that we still have these around so the younger generations (SUV/crossover lovers) can see what made the Lincoln legacy what it is.
I thought I had spotted Texas plates at the beginning, I live in Texas us how. I had recognize the plates. Beautiful Lincoln.
I believe this car was a leftover at the plant but, was not sent out to the public because it was going down the assembly line when the change over of dates accursed while it was assembled. Someone who is retired assembly line worker maybe to answer this question.
Beautiful car. I wish it did not have the black top. Still what a find.
Built at the wixom assembly plant in wixom Michigan its a Menards now. They tore down the factory!
You have the greatest car's! Put a price on it!!!!
I think it would make a rocking Demo Derby car.
My grandfather has a 85 delta 88 ls brougham with opera lights nd sunroof with original olds rocket 350 or 307
