    I’m so torn between which pair to choose. The FPV Combo includes the radio, V2 goggles and the FPV drone for under 1k. It seems like a solid deal especially because I’m interested in a avata down the road and there is no combo with the remote control so I’d have to buy it separate and piece together a whole set up. Do you think the v2 goggles are a solid choice still? Or are the integras actually way better ?

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After having the V2s for several years.. it's so nice to not have to power cycle every time I want to switch modes. That's an issue if you have the Avata, FPV, and quads with Caddx units and frequently switch between them. Also the Integra Goggles power on MUCH faster than the V2s. No wires hanging is the icing on the cake. The only notable drawback for me is the reduced FOV. Not a deal breaker, but noticeable.

    Hi, tell us please about FOV in these goggles, yout experience in that, because 44 deg may be isn't enough for nice flight...

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've only flown once so far and immediately thought the display seemed further away from my eyes compared to the V2s. The actual field of view isn't horrible or deal breaking, the actual display just seems smaller as if I am sitting further from a TV or something.

      @@zavtravels4546I own goggles 2 and just got the integras. I don't notice a big difference when switching between the two. For me the goggles 2 view is bigger than the eye pieces allow so its dark on the edges. Less so with the integra. I hate the touchpad on the goggles 2. Im am satisfied with the integras overall except im not sure i like the battery on the back. was used to putting the battery im my shirt pocket. Also i prefer the built in diopters of the goggles 2. Other than that they will end up being my primary goggles and i will save the goggles 2 for people to ride along since it will be easier to adjust the diopters quickly for them.

    Not being able to change the antennas is a no deal for me unfortunately.

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I upgraded one of my V2 goggles with a patch system. Crossing my fingers that the Integra stock antennas don't disappoint compared to what I have come to expect from my older gear.

    • @JohnCuppi
      @JohnCuppi ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For the DJI Avata integra are fine, but not being able to change the stock antennas out on the goggle really sucks for the traditional DIY fpv builds especially if you have a fleet of the vista/air units. Dual band antennas are not optimal at all, there’s a considerable compromise for them. Never mind the lack of flexibility to change it out to much better patch antennas from TrueRC, or whatever else.

    • @rossmandrone
      @rossmandrone  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@JohnCuppi this is exactly why I'm keeping one of my V2 goggles that has the Lumenier AXII patch antenna. I've got 6 quads with Caddx Vistas..

      I was able to view the audience feed on the V2s with the Avata and O3. Unfortunately, I had no luck with any of my Caddx quads. Caddx units can bind to the Integra goggles, but I'm thinking audience broadcasting isn't supported.

    These and the Goggles V2 do not work with the DJI FPV drone and I suspect the FPV drone is being phased out as well, so the DJI FPV goggles will be hard to come by. The Goggles V2 and Integra are primarily for the Avata however new updates allows these to be used with other DJI drones.
