      Not really for microinverters, you would want to look into all in one string inverters

I was wondering if you can make a video on how to set up that 4 panel system only to sell all solar production to net meetering. No bateery just sell. Greatly appriatiate. Anthony from Puerto Rico

    What is this one as it has a different number than the 4 into 1 your recommended: "Hoymiles HMS-2000-4T HMS 2000W 4 Module Microinverter"?

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one is a dual microinverter. Hoymiles has single, dual, and quad microinverters for residential. Depending on your design, you might need quads, duals, and singles. Other designs might allow for all quads to reduce cost. The options are almost endless and make a lot of sense to me.

      I have a 10kw Enphase system. I run my entire house, shop, and hot tub off my system. Everything is electric. Heat pump, water heater, dryer, range, welders, compressors, and so on. Yes, a microinverter system has no issues there.

    If there are 10 panels & 5 Microinverters on my roof, there are 6 or 10 wires at 240VAC coming into the house ?
    How do the 5 Microinverters stay IN PHASE with eachother ?
    If I want to charge a battery-bank , the AC has to be STEPPED DOWN & RECTIFIED , with CONVERSION LOSSES all over again ?

      It's the same concept at a main service panel. It just combines the circuits before connecting to the backfeed breaker.

    Not bashing the equipment or what so ever, but do we really need to send ANY data to the “cloud”?
    1. Cloud means a server somewhere else and not in your home/office etc.
    Which at this point you could have your own micro server built using something like a Raspberry Pi or similar/cheaper.
    2. I personally am not a fun of sending my data to anyone for whatever reason. If this is analytics data for my use, it should work directly within my own location, without the need to send any data anywhere else.
    If this is for warranties etc, i bet they could store all the counters they need inside the unit itself.
    3. A dedicated small piece of hardware could do that without the need of a network connection what so ever.
    I personally will have a look on this, but even if I purchase it, it will always be offline, as it should.

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not a requirement to have the communications connected in order for the system to work. It's only needed if you want to monitor the system in real-time. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍

      @4evermetalhead79 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustinsProject that’s good news.
      Personally am not freaking out if I don’t see live data from an app.
      Would be useful though if i could connect to it in any way in order to locally troubleshoot the system if i have any issues.
      A laptop and a usb connection maybe?!
      Registrations etc obviously will be done via internet in order for the company (and me) to keep track of when was this installed.
      Looks pretty good on paper as well. The spec of this is brilliant.

    696VA does not equal watts 696VA is like 450-500w mmaybe 600w but not 696

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว

      VA is a rating definition for DC that is VxI. In AC circuit, if your load is pure resistance, the same concept will apply. What that means is 696VA is 696Watts. Microinverters are outputing AC.

    ive never cared about warranties, waste of time, id rather no warraanty and cheaper price personally

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว

      Until something happens. For people like us who will probably fix the issue themselves, warranties aren't as important. However, not everyone wants to deal with repairs after paying 10's of thousands of dollars on their system. Rightfully so.
