Looks so simple to use. Might have to pick up a few for my meeting rooms.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF...... you have a amazon fire tv, or a sonos arc, sales said they are not compatible, after they said they were.
The sales rep at OREI said to buy, and then said its the wrong product. 'Extract full HDMI audio from any HDMI source' .......the page says, and that is wrong
Just received it from Amazon. Hooked it up like you said, absolutely no picture video and I'm using 2.1 HDMI cables.
Can I swap them around from A to B end and swapped around different cables.
    No picture.
So far it's a horrible product.
If I can get customer help I may give a good review but from right now I'm going to be returning this

Kellee, it sounds like you might have an EDID setting wrong. That controls the type of media connection you have and is explained in the manual. If you have it set to the wrong resolution it can cause issues when passing media content through the product. Read through that section and make sure it matches the type of audio and resolution of the media you're trying to pass through the HDA-939. Once you get this set correctly, you won;t have to quibble with it again. Also, Orei is really responsive to questions so you might want to send them a note through their website.

@@Dronevalley I played with those settings as well. There's only three or four dip switches to flip up and down for video.
I contacted the company and they said I needed a hda-931, there's a 939 is the wrong unit which I'm not entirely too sure why when they do the exact same thing.
But it looks like I might have to wait another week in a bit if I'm going to trade in the unit for that one.

@@wkduff One key thing to remember is that the DIP switches are only read on Power-up so if you change them, you'll need to reboot the unit, your media device and TV for them to "handshake" and lock in the settings. If you just change them with the power on, nothing will change. I know it seems like a bit of a pain but ARC (and EDID) is still a little tricky to get working the first time.

@@Dronevalley I used every cold combination, I got my picture to work, and it's staying on but now I don't have any audio unless I go optical but you do not get atmos from that.
Every combination I use does not give me sound.
I've even tried my own combinations.

@@Dronevalley and I have contact to the manufacturer and they told me that the other unit will work for me and not this one, I'm already at odds with this company with this not working properly.
How will the other one work better? There's no dip switches which is good. Or is that bad?
