  • INSTRUCTIONS BELOW
In this video, I show how to install a stopper ball on a Flysurfer Infinity 3.0 Clam Cleat bar. These instructions can also be use to replace your depower line and to adjust your bar throw length.

    INSTRUCTIONS:
Before you start, it's a good idea to take note how the depower/trimmer line is threaded through the clam cleat. Having pictures of how the safety release line is threaded and where on the cleat the color changes helps when reassembling.
    STEP ONE:
Using a pen, mark both knows on the inside and outside of the trim handle. Then untie the knots.
    STEP TWO:
After removing the handle and plastic ball, unthread the trimmer line through the clamcleat and safety line metal loop.
    STEP THREE:
Notice how the trim line runs through the bar and safety release and it's position to how the safety line is also threaded through the bar. Then untread the trimmer line.
    STEP FOUR:
At this time, if you need to replace your trim line, you can do so. Now it's time to install the stopper ball. Ensure to thread the trim line with the smaller opening up, towards the direction of the kite.
    STEP FIVE:
Now it's just a matter of reassembling the trimmer line as it previously was. I kept some slack in the line at the safety release to ensure that the line would be even after everything was reassembled.
    FINAL STEP:
After your bar is reassembled, double check to ensure that everything is back the way it previously was. After a couple hours of enjoying your new stopper ball while kiting, do one more recheck including a line length test to make sure center and steering lines are equal.

Hi mate, just got my Soul ordered. Is the stopper for setting the bar while flying and therefore the bar come without it from the factory, with full depower the default? I’ve heard the back lines need adjusting as well when you get the bar new? Is that your view, any other recommendations for first setup? Cheers matey.

If the stopper ball isn't already installed on your bar, it will be included in the spares. That back lines adjustment really is fake news. Flysurfer purposely sends their bars with the back lines slightly longer to help compensate for initial shrinkage. You could adjust them but personally I would put about 5-10 hours on it before I messed with anything to allow everything to break in properly.

Hey did you put the metal ring on the wrong side of the cleat?

Nope, it’s the side it was on. Really you can run it either ride though.

Is the stopper ball with a screw or does it still slide like on a slingshot bar?

No screw so it slides like on a SS bar.
