    You fast forwarded through so much of the stuff I wanted to see. Wiring up the breaker box, putting on the pig tails, wiring the outlets...

    • @EdgeofNowhereFarm

      That's a valid comment. It was our first time wiring boxes ourselves, so we weren't really attempting to show how it was done. Hind sight being what it is, we should have shown more detail for sure!

    My son and I are building a 36 x 110 Mueller steel building in Waddell, not far from you (303 and Northern) . Red iron is all up, starting walls/roof. My neighbor electrician retired. I'm sending Jake an email to come help me wire our shop. Great referral. Thanks, Jeff

    Smart having dedicated twenty amp outlets, we did he same for our huge freezer, air compressor and work area in our garage. The extra expense of using conduit for the wiring is well worth the investment. We used BX vs Romex wiring for the extra protection and grounding capability. Great job and thank you for sharing.

    👍 Have you thought about putting external lighting onto your outbuilding porch/verandah? Might help on those days when it's getting dark before you finish the chickens. Or other jobs you need to get done out there.

    • @EdgeofNowhereFarm

      Hey Jeff. We haven't installed any exterior lights yet, but it's on the plans. The panel is between 2, 2x4's and the J-boxes are screwed directly into the metal framing.

    • @EdgeofNowhereFarm
      @EdgeofNowhereFarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Abby. Yes, we discussed the electrical install with our builder before we finished the build. They said there wouldn't be any issues with using self tapping metal screws as they use the same to connect the metal sheeting on the outside of the building. Our electrician has also done these before and has had no issues.
