u got 1 thing worng while making the staring eleven, Rubem likes to use a dribler on the the right front 3 and more of a good passer on the left front three. Ex: on the right he mostly uses Trincao and Edwards that are amazing with the ball on their feet and on the left he use Pedro Gonçalves and his new signing this year Maxi Araujo to brake the lines with intricate passing plays, but he makes more use out of Pedro cause he can play as a midfielder and also support the player on the wing when sporting atack. based on what i understood from your video and for seeing some of united players play i think he will use rashford or garnacho as atacking right because they seem to be the better driblers and he will probably use Bruno as a left atacker because he can make those intricate line breking passes and help out with midfield duties. Aside from thast great vid bro, as a sporting fan from portugal that watched every game u really got his tactics right on the dot.
So, no right wingback named in your team, Bruno will play two midfield positions, and Maguire as the starting central defender. The problem with the internet is that any clueless tool can pretend to be an expert.
I have watched absolutely dozens of videos on Amorim at Utd, various sources and can honestly say I have not heard anyone suggest that the attack will retain a front 3 with attacking wingers, every single one has double 10s or 8s with the wingbacks providing the width.
Congrats! You got it almost 100% right. However, the ‘wingbacks’ will vary depending who Man Utd will be facing (more defensive wingbacks if he knows that he will not have enough ball or more offensive if he knows that he can explore both wings or one side more than the other). And you’ll even find matches where the left wing back will back up when in possession and the right CB will stay as right back and make a 4 back line instead of 3 and a back 5 line when out of possession. Brace yourselves!
You lost me when you started implying no that Harry Maguire is good on the ball. You need to watch more United games. He’s far too slow to make a decision which allows the opposition to regroup and mark every potential passing option.
You forgot its actually more of a 3 cb and 1 sweeper. No one has thought of the fact that a goalkeeper like Onana finally will come to his right. Btw Shaw and maybe even Dalot does not fit at all.
I believe Garnacho will play the left wingback position while Amad will play as an inside forward in the right half space. The rest of the lineup I do agree with
I would still prefer and I think Amorim will as well prefer to play De Ligt as that middle CB but I dont think is as ridiculous as people are making it out to be
De Ligt is also the first CB from Man Utd I think of in that role. He's similar to Coates and Diomande who have been Rúben's favourites in that position for all these years, ofc he does swap around the back line's performers when dealing with casualties from injuries and suspensions.
I'm convinced the lineup will this. Onana - Martinez, de Ligt, Yoro - Diallo, Mainoo, Ugarte, Dalot - Garnacho, Højlund, Bruno. Mazroui is very versatile so he will can cover in any number of positions.
If he uses the same approach ge used in Sporting. His football will be somehow slow at first. It will be flat out chess as well with ball possession being an obsession. That's how fans will be happy from the start. Despite the football not being spectacular at first (who knows?) One thing I believe will be constant is the possession obsession. Everything else will come further along the way. Also, i am not so sure about Maguire. I honestly don't know how United kept him for so long.

But if some of you want to keep on being ignorant, go ahead...at the end of the day we'll still be SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL, one of the best clubs in the World whether you accept it or not.
Remember, just because he uses these tactics at Sporting, it doesn't mean he'll just copy them to Man Utd, the players are different and so are the opponents! Some things are universal however: He likes centerbacks that are good on the ball and that can mimic fullbacks, at least until the middle of the pitch. That means right footed central backs on the right side, left footed on the left side. As the "narrow" fowards, they are usually inverted and not as narrow as you'd think... But one thing's correct, there isn't many wide crosses to the area, I never seen him use that approach even with taller strikers. He likes short crosses, which are way more deadly and easier for any player to finish, be it a striker or a midfielder.
Lots of ignorant comments in here lol, Maguire is a ball playing CB for the casuals. Overall this is a well researched video and you got the player profiling mostly spot on. - Onana is a press cheatcode and in m2m situations Amorim might use him as the CCB and have a fullback invert into midfield or have a staggered pivot with the original CCB pushing up. - Mostly like De Ligt at RCB but can be risky vs tricky wingers as he struggles with wide channel defending. - Yoro is the long term RCB option and will get a lot of game time this season. - Dalot at RWB is a better option and is more naturally suited to it + can cover for De Ligt. - Id prefer Amad as right sided inside 10 as he's pretty much a 1 to 1 profile with M. Edwards. - Overall Id keep the same back 3 til Yoro is ready and have Mazz LWB and Dalot RWB, Ugarte/Mainoo pivot, and Amad/Bruno/Hojlund
Not really Watched every single game for Man Utd and Maguire just isn’t a ball playing centre back The guy takes way too many touches on the ball and slows down the tempo of the game so much that he has to play the simple pass in front of him or to his other centre back, which prob makes his pass accuracy stats go up. He’s not good in buildup for us.

Can I just point out that Mason Mount would be EXCELLENT in the Gocalves role, the right side “number 10”. Almost perfect on the half turn, very creative and deceptively agile. I would maybe pick Bruno ahead of him since Bruno does have a more creative threat and can perhaps even overload 1st phase build up but Mount shouldn’t be sniffed at
When he first started explaining Amorims actual set up the first person I thought of was Mount, he's got the mobility and technical ability to do it but it goes underrated because he's barely fit and he's not flashy like a bruno but fundamentally he is one of the best profiles we have for it.
@@__Leebeehis breakdown of the actual system was good, but the picks he made for each position might be very off. Players like Garnacho are what he uses as wb at Sporting so we will see when it happens.
You left 2 or 3 of the best players 😅😅 Amad would definitely play that RW bcz he is the perfect fit 👌...I don't think Joshua can do it You also left out the best player in terms of technical ability in this team...Mazroui, he'd definitely love him as he can play all over the pitch Finally, Yoro will be coming back soon and I think he'll probably be starting instead of maguire who's very slow for the system
The problem with Maguire is that the opposition is well aware of his weaknesses, he has a mistake in him so he will be targeted throughout the match. Once his head drops then it’s a goal fest for the opposition because the rest of the team has easily go down mentality.
I was OK with Chatgpt analysis but lost it when he said *"ZIRKZEE"* 😡 😡 😡 ... And then the bombshell dropper - Bruno who he selected alongside Ugarte, then replaced Rashford with Bruno at no10 - so who replaced Bruno in no8? 😂
Nearly fell out of my seat when I heard Maguire 😂 And he avoided guessing who will play RWB position because it’s going to be Mazraoui which there for means it will contradict what has been saying 😂
A few additional points: the right wingers are left footed. As to the 10’s, the one that plays on the right is left footed and the opposite happens with the other 10.
So you changed the formation, then changed it again, missed naming two positions and all we need is two Bruno Fernandes'. Not to mention including Maguire as a ball playing defender. Go to sleep.
I hope youre qrong bro cause garnacho as a wing back or rashford as a wing back or even amad as a wing back sounds so depressing. Wed have to sell all 4 as well as all our fullbacks and that means we bought Masraoui whose a good player for nothing

Not really
Watched every single game for Man Utd and Maguire just isn’t a ball playing centre back
The guy takes way too many touches on the ball and slows down the tempo of the game so much that he has to play the simple pass in front of him or to his other centre back, which prob makes his pass accuracy stats go up. He’s not good in buildup for us.
It will be very interesting to see who will be the team. Sure will have surprises and some players will achieve an unexpected performance.
What works in Portugal wont necessarily work in the premier league... Amorim will be judged on his ability to adapt to a new league.... Not his current system in the Portuguese league
100% agree..but let's give him the opportunity..we might all be surprised..
Thank you it’s funny to me how some people are not seeing this ,Erik ten hag was better than Amorim and got booted by the club…he will be out of the club in few years
@@surgiogerner4394 portuguese league it’s not the same compared to premier league his tactical formations will be exposed quick soon as he arrives there
@@FabioCastro-u4k i agree eric tenhag is a better coach. If he went to sporting lisbon.i would bet on him winning the league there as well as other trophies and do well in the champions
League
Well the system worked well against Tottenham and Arsenal didn't it?
Every great manager has to evolve to succeed in the biggest stage, so I'm glad to hear about the flaws in his system. It'll be interesting to see how he evolves.
Can I just point out that Mason Mount would be EXCELLENT in the Gocalves role, the right side “number 10”. Almost perfect on the half turn, very creative and deceptively agile. I would maybe pick Bruno ahead of him since Bruno does have a more creative threat and can perhaps even overload 1st phase build up but Mount shouldn’t be sniffed at
Goncalves (right foot) plays on left side.. Trincao (left foot) is on right side.. CB need to be strong and fast, goodbye Maguire
@@mjpsantos007 sorry, I meant left side
When he first started explaining Amorims actual set up the first person I thought of was Mount, he's got the mobility and technical ability to do it but it goes underrated because he's barely fit and he's not flashy like a bruno but fundamentally he is one of the best profiles we have for it.
Why is nobody mentioning amad? Him and mount if he can stay fit are literally ideal for the two wide forward positions.
@@__Leebeehis breakdown of the actual system was good, but the picks he made for each position might be very off. Players like Garnacho are what he uses as wb at Sporting so we will see when it happens.
Very nice analysis. Welldone
You left 2 or 3 of the best players 😅😅
Amad would definitely play that RW bcz he is the perfect fit 👌...I don't think Joshua can do it
You also left out the best player in terms of technical ability in this team...Mazroui, he'd definitely love him as he can play all over the pitch
Finally, Yoro will be coming back soon and I think he'll probably be starting instead of maguire who's very slow for the system
You left out the right side + you had Bruno in 2 spots😅
Beautiful video
Fan channels usually think they know more
The problem with Maguire is that the opposition is well aware of his weaknesses, he has a mistake in him so he will be targeted throughout the match. Once his head drops then it’s a goal fest for the opposition because the rest of the team has easily go down mentality.
Why are you not the coach then?
I was OK with Chatgpt analysis but lost it when he said *"ZIRKZEE"* 😡 😡 😡
...
And then the bombshell dropper - Bruno who he selected alongside Ugarte, then replaced Rashford with Bruno at no10 - so who replaced Bruno in no8? 😂
I was having it until you spoke of Maguire’s ability on the ball. Instantly thought nah he doesn’t actually know
He just started a traditional back 5 against Arsenal
The midfield will be Ugarte and Mainoo and Dalot will play a lot of games as a right-side full back.
He was cooking until he got to the lineup, right ideas, wrong conclusion.
bro lost his credibility when he said Maguire will start, 😂😂😂😂
I'm not convinced on this Amorim guy
I think the narrow left position should be Nypan from Rosenberg (in future of course)
don´t just watch 2 or 3 Sporting games to form your opinion, Sporting under Rúben is a full on attacking team
Sorry, but it isnt 2 6's. One 6 and one 8 that comes down to support the 6.
I think Mainoo and Ugarte should be our CM both can attack and defend.
Nearly fell out of my seat when I heard Maguire 😂
And he avoided guessing who will play RWB position because it’s going to be Mazraoui which there for means it will contradict what has been saying 😂
You had me until Zirkzee and Rashford 😮
Big difference between lying and just being wrong 😅
People aren't lying at all, the wingbacks and double 10's is what literally everybody is saying. Really annoying this type of empty hyping.
I love football, but not quite like tactical discussions.
Put your FIFA pro coaching badges online and let us know which Sunday pub team you coach.
You've only skimmed the surface and I don't think you have the capacity to understand what's missing. Maybe one day, I don't know...
Maguire, bro you have Yoro, De Ligt and Martinez
A few additional points: the right wingers are left footed. As to the 10’s, the one that plays on the right is left footed and the opposite happens with the other 10.
I think he is actually very adaptable.
Lost me at harry mcguire. Over Yoro?!
Yeah for sure a kid sofa coach will know more about football then professional managers 😂😂😂
You've completely forgotten about the rwb
Don't think right or wrong matters. The use of the word "lies" is clickbait. Look at the views he's raked in.
Quenda and Catamo like Porro (Tottenham) and Nuno Mendes (PSG). Always the same system with similar wings...
