Exactly. Spawn of Possession is an overly technical bands that messes up my head when I listen to it. Soreption has groove, which is not something most tech death band has
@@Antarath If by some chance you haven't heard of them, The Zenith Passage does a great job with more rhythm oriented tech death. Solipsist is a fantastic album, songs like Luminary Singularity and the Tenebrous Veil are very riff oriented and groovy, not quite as much as Soreption but definitely moreso than other tech bands. If I'm not mistaken, their guitarist was actually a fill-in for Soreption for a few shows

It's good. But I feel they're trying to be super technical and do not concentrate on the composition that much. I don't understand people who say that a lot of bands has surpassed Necrophagist. In terms of composition - no one has ever even came close.
