Like all narcissistic psychopaths, the only thing that matters to him is getting his way, no matter how much he loses in the process. Not all psychopaths are smart, you know. 😂
This is how you block a platform. You talk to people, warn the platform, discuss, sort things out, give people time to get used to everything, and then let the platform ban itself for not willing to comply with regulations. You don't just ban something overnight.
As a Brazilian, let me explain: the X accounts whose ban were requested committed crimes disguised as political opinions. The Supreme Federal Court (STF) unanimously agreed with the decision, including the judges appointed by the former president of Brazil. The Brazilian STF is independent and will enforce Brazilian law. No foreign company can operate in the country without legal representation. X has been repeatedly fined for failing to comply with rulings and not paying the fines. Every possible leniency has been applied to avoid harming users, but there is a limit. There was no threat of action against any team; what Musk did was disrespect the Brazilian people. Here in Brazil, freedom of speech extends only to the point where personal freedom does not cause harm to others through hate crimes, verifiable lies, or interference in electoral processes. Here, you cannot say whatever you want, whether in the streets, on television, or on social media. Here, you must be accountable for your words and respect the Constitution, which makes this clear in several articles. Gentlemen, on those accounts, a coup d’état was suggested. In your countries, can you promote coups? Can you promote racism? Xenophobia? Political persecution? I believe that in Spain, for example, someone who did this would go to jail much faster, just like the Catalonian separatists. There are no issues with other networks because they comply with Brazilian decisions and laws. Freedom of speech is not freedom to commit crimes. And no one, because of their economic status, is above the law-neither politicians, judges, nor businesspeople from here or any other country. The only fear of jail, in a free and democratic country, is for those who know they are guilty. Musk crossed the line by violating the court, Brazilian laws, and interfering in the political processes of others. If applicable, X will be reinstated, no doubt. The world is tired of lies and rhetoric on networks that take no responsibility for the truth. The Brazilian press is currently discussing this issue intensely and freely, with diverse but respectful opinions. And it will remain that way permanently in Brazil. I know that Brazilians may have different opinions. But the proof that there is no persecution of anyone in Brazil is that he can challenge me here on TH-cam or in Brazil, however he likes
Nobody gives AF about Twitter being banned in your area. The app allows people or a group to agree or disagree with another. If all people live in Brazil, you can blabber about your thoughts, but Twitter now belongs to all social class around the world, rich or poor. If you can't talk your way out of a debate, the app will spit you out, plain and simple. But if you want laws to mud the app because your feelings got hurt from conversations in the app; nope, not gonna happen. If you can't reason to people across the world for certain issues, don't use the app.

@@al919 speech freedoms end when you're inviting or inciting the end of freedoms for everyone.
Very informative News content. X is also banned in Pakistan before Brazil due to same reasons.
X is a Commercial Enterprise / Corporation. Sole object of such corporate entities is maximisation of wealth, of share holders. So X will do whatever it takes to maximisation of it's " WEALTH" .
Thanks DW.
What's bad about that? X can go out of business if it doesn't succeed commercially. There is doubt that it will remain a viable enterprise.
@@lashlarue7924 The problem is that these corporations are willing to disrupt social order by manipulating users, exploiting people, overthrowing governments, destroying the planet... in order to guarantee profits.
They don't care about the destruction they cause, only money.
@@lashlarue7924 Why should we care about X problems and future? Companies go out of business everyday.
@@mserrano9644 Not saying you should care, just saying that the fact that it's a commercial enterprise is sort of self-evident. The servers and engineers necessary to run X (or any other platform) are not free. So yeah, it's a business; it generates revenue in exchange for providing a service. If you don't like the service, don't use X. Anyone who feels the need to point out the obvious should try living in the former Soviet Union for a while to compare.
@@lashlarue7924 X closes its OK . Point in writing a comment was, X will have to modify itself as EU laws.
Elon musk is a risk taker both financial and business risk. Chances of X's demise are growing.
Am not on any social media format because they sell our personal information for profit and there is no unlike button as available on TH-cam. Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts. ❤️
Ban X... Yes.
We do NOT need X or any similar abusive rotting platforms
Who is being abused? Crickets.
X should be called XXX, the platform has completely gone down hill. It's just full of garbage now unfortunately.
As they say…Garbage in garbage out.😊
The fish rots from the head. Leadership is responsible for the success of a corporation and leadarship is responsible for the Organization's failure
It’s about time! The entire world needs to follow suit.
By allowing everybody to lie X is destroying the truth.
The bank that own the debit that financed Elon Musk purchased of "X" is Vladimir Putin. LOL hahahahahahahahaha 👿😂🤣
Yes please, no one sane would miss Twitter (X) 😅
Twitter seemed interesting. X is a flaming pile.
YES PLZ GET RID OF IT!!?
Ban it
Personally I'm surprised twitter has lasted as long as it has under Elon's right of incompetence.
One can only hope.
It's critical for the protection of free speech that the EU pursues X to the fullest extent of the law. The UK should also follow suit. There needs to be an end to the wide-ranging abuse being conducted by Musk and his companies. An end to US government funding of Space X to follow please.
@@cnic7085 Let's just ban social media all together and turn everywhere to North Korea.
"For the protection of free speech". You're a practicer of doublespeak, I see.
Yes, let's restrict free speech. But only in order to protect free speech, of course. Yes, yes indeed, this all makes perfect sense.
@@VVayVVard Not at all. You're confusing free speech with actions. Actions have consequences. Token thinker.
@@cnic7085 X is one of the few places on the Internet where your comments are still likely to show up, even if you say something that mediocre people would find offensive. Here, on the other hand, the filtering mechanisms act to suppress peoples' opinions as well as their will to express them, thereby eroding freedom of speech in multiple layers, insidiously, over time.
If what I'm saying is going above your head, then you must not have any controversial opinions. Indicating that you're not much of a thinker, nor much of a scholar.
@@VVayVVard As a "mediocre person" I'm curious in how think a platform which honors requests from a governing party to restrict comments from opposition parties during an election is a free speech platform?
Ban it already. Why can he choose what laws to comply with
Hear!!! Hear!!!
X = CANCELED, how ironic
I don't get one thing - what does Elon stand to gain from this? What's the problem for them to comply with EU legislation, like every other social media network?
He thinks he owns Europe. He thinks he owns the planet. He thinks he owns the Solar System.
Like all narcissistic psychopaths, the only thing that matters to him is getting his way, no matter how much he loses in the process. Not all psychopaths are smart, you know. 😂
Good start, time for EU to take a firm stand against Tesla once and for all as well. I'm so sick of all the things Elon gets away with.
Elon barely cares about Tesla.
Don't worry. The EU will soon become dominated by cheap Chinese EVs built with slave-like labor.
And their factory in Germany must be stoped
Elon is getting the beat down he desearves, genius my a$$.
Oh no, whatever will we do without Twitter..?
This is how you block a platform. You talk to people, warn the platform, discuss, sort things out, give people time to get used to everything, and then let the platform ban itself for not willing to comply with regulations. You don't just ban something overnight.
God willing.
…and nothing of value was lost.
Elon is a weirdo 🤮I deleted my Twitter ago 2years ago
Don't give me hope
Elon has lost his mind, that’s pretty clear. I would put my money on noncompliance. I’ve been off Twitter for about two years now and just trust me that you’re better off that way.
If Xwitter were banned everywhere people would just move on and life would continue as if nothing ever happened.
Everyone keeps expecting a man baby to act with sense and sensibility. Snap out of it!
Why do they talk? If I get caught for speeding, the police doesn’t sit down with me discussing the issue, I get a ticket.
i was on it for a months and left it due to the toxic nature.
So tired of Musk and that we let him do whatever he wants ! X should be banned !!!
He does not care about any employee it is power and profit by any cost. He and many like him are always abusing the protections of a democracy and the laws within to take away or distort others rights it is such a painful thing to watch.
X banned in Brazil
It would be great if the EU could clean that trashy app for good. I mean, or you follow the law or you leave, the UK learned that the hard way!
Do it EU. NOTHING OF VALUE WILL BE LOST
That pun about "Ex-consumers" was great lol. 2:42
Such a deadpan delivery!
X needs to go.
the EU is such a joke to the point that enforcing existing legislation is “controversial”.
Give some examples
How about The EU also take a closer look at Tesla? Those cars a basically both inside and outside surveillance of people's private life. How well does Tesla secure all that surveillance footage and does that comply with The EU GDPR rules?
The USA to should be looking into this fiasco
All for banning X
X only spreads hate
Just like any ex 🫣
You mean speech YOU hate. Leftism 101.
Just disable the X already from everywhere.
The algorithm is so bad i doubt his employees even use it
Boycott X for prompting x , x is opened for elon, Such a professional platform for Personality, Such a serious platform. Elon make the platform complicated..
Get rid of X everywhere ASP
We can only hope.
Yes yes yes yes!
I can't access xitter. Oh no 🇧🇷. Anyway, I can do something fun...
It needs to be done in North America as well.
Could the EU bankrupt X? I sure hope so!
[3:07] So . . . The blue check of X, is Musk's version of an indulgence :-)
It would be a good time for a new entrepreneur to start a new platform called 'Y' that does follow laws blocking hate speech. There are still plenty of ex-Twitter moderators looking for work.
X does follow local laws. The whole point is that politicians are abusing their power and want to censor people that arent breaking any laws.
That is why X is not banned in places that have censorship laws.
💯
There's several alternatives already.
In Brazil people are migrating en masse to Bluesky.
So like a government puppet platform? Who gets to decide what "hate speech" is?
@Pixelarter most other social media apps give in to the illegal demands.
It is not good to go to an app that will silence political opponents this leads to dictatorial systems. Is this what you want?
That is what they want X to do.
X marks the spot to end
X is a cesspool.
Imagine a business being told to comply with the laws of the state I'm which it operates. It's outrageous.
I hope it will be, and I already fight for this. Unless the clown sells it to any sane person...
You hope and fight for it, because? You want your government to babysit you and other what you can and can't post?
