@@professor_pigeon he says in the episode that he becomes a monster when he has to put on a show/ to send a message, this scene displays that to full effect.
I think the idea is this is how it originally was for him; being a monster when he needed to be. By the time the group meets him he obviously has fallen from grace and almost been consumed by this persona he has made. It’s his defeat and time in prison that makes him reflect and remember why he started the saviors and originally did the things he did.
His look to Maggie after doing it strongly suggests otherwise. He was putting his persona back on like and old glove that needed using and took it right off as soon as the job was done.
I personally think it is the complete contrary. I don't know exactly what it is, but it just feels 'forced'. He sounds much less energetic and excited than when he tormented the group back on S7. He sounds like an introvert trying to act all extroverted and menacing in this clip.

Usually hate the music they add to these, but this one kinda tracks.
Neckbeard and rat tail killed me 🤣🤣🤣
We need more of this Negan just as much as we need kind reflective Negan
Negan was always my favorite character from The Walking Dead.
only reason i started watching again tbh lol
Actually true and he killed Glenn who used to be my favorite lmao.
And now Negan is helping Billy Butcher to fight off superheroes.
If I was a villain I would definitely be Negan
I loved this scene. It's a testament to just how well Negan has learned to control his darkside, as he can let it out when he so chooses
Whats the ep
@@willjamwistrom9574 Episode two of the new "Dead City" show starring Negan and Maggie
The best
Negan is the guy that it's best to stay on his good side because if not then he will be your worst damn nightmare. That's what I've always loved about him.
I love old negan with those horrifying dialogues
Negan is just such a good Character!
Is anyone talking about how good his knock knock joke was
"Holy shit, you have a neck beard AND a rat tail?" Bruh my New Orleanian ass just DIED 😂😂😂
?????? So random, what does where you're from have to do with it? Do you just announce that every time you type a comment? Do you think anyone cares?
Thanks for telling me where youre from and thats probably your real name
Ill be seeing you soon james
@@harriottainsley6278 Cut off a piece for me. I don't like his attitude
I lmaoooo when he said it like that 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whats troubling for Maggie is that he used this kind of behavior against her and hated him for it, and now it’s the thing that’s protecting her
Favorite Character. He knew what the world was and knows what the world will become if he doesn't prove there are worse people out there.
I loved this. Negan isn't just some by the books good character, he's an anti-hero and that's good. We've had too many characters trying to act like they're the angel of God when they too have also killed others to survive.
Doesnt this mean he has kinda devolved as a character though. Sure he can kill to survive but he seems to be enjoying it again
@@professor_pigeon he says in the episode that he becomes a monster when he has to put on a show/ to send a message, this scene displays that to full effect.
god damn sherlock, never noticed
I think the idea is this is how it originally was for him; being a monster when he needed to be. By the time the group meets him he obviously has fallen from grace and almost been consumed by this persona he has made.
It’s his defeat and time in prison that makes him reflect and remember why he started the saviors and originally did the things he did.
With his voice you could tell he was exited to do it again
His look to Maggie after doing it strongly suggests otherwise. He was putting his persona back on like and old glove that needed using and took it right off as soon as the job was done.
I personally think it is the complete contrary.
I don't know exactly what it is, but it just feels 'forced'. He sounds much less energetic and excited than when he tormented the group back on S7.
He sounds like an introvert trying to act all extroverted and menacing in this clip.
