I found this really endearing because there are a lot of dev teams that try to be relatable by saying that they are nerds/otakus just like their player base (looking at you fucking Hoyoverse) but these guys are the only ones I've seen where they actually behave like that publicly instead of trying to put up a more "professional" and boring front in order to be taken seriously, from discussing the importance of glorious tummy folders to straight up talking about indirect kisses. It shows how much fun they have working at the game.

@@far4955 I know, but like I mentioned, these ones feel more endearing because we can see them acting like nerds. When the people at Hoyoverse talk they are way more scripted and direct about stuff. They come, tell you what they have in store and leave. These guys sat on a table and derailed a conversation like 3 times in 10 minutes to talk about injokes and geek about their own work. I'm not saying that one is better than the other or that everyone should do the same (I'm sure that part of the reason these guys make their videos like that is because they don't have the shitcillion dollars that Hoyoverse does and use for fancy stages and orchestral performances), I'm just saying that I had more fun watching this

But to the East they are very appreciative and honored by that recognition of their work. After all, if they didn't want you to see it, they wouldn't have spend hours of their lives drawing it.

I love this because it essentially means that they focused on making a game for themselves and anyone who happened to be interested. Since they were the target audience they will end up bringing other like minded people into their community. With a community that you can joke around with and have fun you don't burn out as easily especially if you yourself are enjoying the process of putting the game together. It really is just a bunch of guys putting together a game with all of the things they love.
Sad that Hoyo has the resources and techs to make it but hindered by CCP regulations

@@Ladiusmann cause most "decent" f2p gacha games are made by chinese even if they can be hit or miss, most korean ones are p2w, love their rng and are grindy, japanese ones hardly make any original IPs and most are on existing IP that usually are cashgrabs. Just a generalization, not saying all of them are like that, i'm mostly just jaded by korean devs, burnt from their past games who follow that trend and still to this day still do that, nikke being the most recent one thats that egregious.
