As a non-PVPer, I will be very casual and get 3 shinies and see how I feel afterwards, much like Cyndaquil on Saturday. Didn't help that it was hot out around here... but still, there isn't much here for me. 1/4 hatch distance doesn't do much unless the egg pool gets significantly better either.
I'm happy they are finally giving us some more "obscure" pokemon and not going for the popular ones. Maybe one day we will get mantyke comm day or venipede
Honestly, I don't personally want this pokemon But im not going to bash niantic for the selection. Everyone has their favorites, and it's a chance for those players to have there fill at shinies.
I recently started playing again after quitting in 2021, and com days have just felt soooo underwhelming. Bellsprout, Bounsweet, Goomy, Cynda, now Tynamo and probably pikipek after, They just keep picking mons that don’t have too much going for them, and then don’t give them much that improves them to the point of using them. So far the most enjoyable event IMO was the research day. It had the largest gathering of local players and actually gave a variety if shinies people actually wanted. I really wish they would pick community days that are actually wanted by the community
Yes. All egg events are worthless. Sounds great on paper. But actually outcome of what you hatch relative to what you want, never works out in the players favor
This is coming the week after Go fest. The Comm day after go fest is typically not the most exciting since everyone is still riding high from the awesomeness of go fest. If ever they had to dip this far into the barrel to get a pokemon for a comm day this is the time to do it. Let's look at the positives, 1) brand new shiny and we don't have to grind super hard to get it. 2) The move is actually good even if the pokemon isn't. 3) its still a comm day and those are always at least a little bit more fun than a regular grind day. and 4) If this doesn't trip your trigger, just make sure you load as many eggs into incubators during the event that you can, get a few of the shinies and make sure you get enough candy and move on. You don't have to go super hard. Play for an hour, and be done with it. its not the biggest time commitment. I'm going to play this for sure and I will enjoy getting some good shinies.
The fact that we have to wait a month for a bad community day makes it worse. I’m surprised you’re liking it. You’re the only person I’ve seen supporting it which is NOT what I expected
I’m debating whether I should complete my Dusk Settles research on Comm Day or wait until Mega Lucario Raid day. Which one would give more XL candy? Comm Day or Strength of Steel event?
Also a very interesting thing... amongst the Non-Starter and Non-Classic Community Days, this is the 3rd Electric Type move given on CD. A Grass (Bellsprout) and Fighting (Bounsweet, which is a Grass type) move are the only others so far this year. The other two electric moves were puzzling at best... and it's not like Electric is the most useful type (though it's only weak to Ground, it's only good against Flying and Water - and I personally don't think of it against either of those two as much as Rock and Grass myself). Just weird that this is a Grass and Electric Year so far...
I actually predicted this was going to be a Comm Day mom ages ago, and called it. The Shiny is really cool, and the move is getting might actually make it a decent niche pick in GBL certain specialty cups, but the thing is that you already have far more solid electric picks available - notably Lanturn, Galvantula, and Charjabug which already fulfill the electric attacker and moveset coverage just fine - so unless the top meta electric types get banned in specialty cups, it's most likely this thing will be shunted to the side. Same with PvE - there's already so many better and accessible electric types out there, that this seems kinda pointless to invest in. Unless you really want to max out a hundo.
I don’t know why the community is saying this is the worst one of the year? It’s a new shiny debut. It’s definitely not my favorite Pokemon but at least we’ll all have it. I’m not a pvp player but I’m just excited to get a new shiny.
Its bad for everything. Literally no use in pvp even with the new move, no use for raids etc. we just had cyndaquil so totodile wouldve been awesome since feraligator is extremely useful in pvp. Also the pokemon isnt even a fan favorite like a starter, a psuedo legendary, etc. basically nobody is excited for this stupid thing cuz it literally has no use for anything and its not even a fan favorite thats cool for a collection
i dont see why people don't play Go Battle League, its literally the whole whole point to grind for Comm-Days. literally no point for them other than collecting them and then just have them sit there in their storage. just my opinion doe, if people get high for just playing/ catching 'mons, then more power to em'
I always skip community day classic. Don’t care much since already have the shiny. As for brand new for community day, I try to catch three shiny to complete the family and I’m done.
I think this is an interesting choice and it gets a move that makes it good great even while i don’t think it’s better then the bird pikipek however at least we get a good pvp move out of it. I’ll play this one though not for PvP at all. Volt switch is great but i would have wanted for it to get parabolic charge or thunderbolt. I like the bonuses as well. Though the Goomy bonuses were better but hey we all knew and saw that coming as opposed to this one. Anyway I’m looking forward to ur next video.
Being Tynamo it would be a cool thing to hunt for the smallest ones for the showcase plus it would really throw people off Being different from the normal XXL 😅😈
I heard rumors of it being teddiursa since there’s a full moon the next day. I was really excited for a shiny Ursaluna. Tynamo sucks in comparison wish they would do cooler Pokémon. Past few community days have sucked
Sorry I disagree where you’re coming from with Tynamo. Sure, Tynamo is a new Shiny but it’s not really the best when it comes to a new move Volt Switch made for Eelektross because Volt Swotch is a little slower than Spark and Thunder Shock. Thunder Shock would be a game changer for Eelektross for PVP and GBL. Unfortunately Tynamo is not really worth grinding for Community Day and unfortunate Tynamo loses its Shiny rarity and I would rather hunt it from events on 1/128 than 1/10. Disappointing Community Day to say the least.
Dude, what event has NOT been PvP-focused lately, aside from some elements of GoFest? It seems every event video you end up saying, “I realize people who are not interested in PVP…” To your credit you present it objectively and say you wish Niantic would do more to make it more inclusive, but they don’t.
It doesn’t matter what move it gets it stats and charge moves are really bad it will be destroyed in go battle and never give Niantic any money they are crooks and liars
Thanks for the video, Jinsula. I'm going to give this a miss to take a break. The Pokemon does nothing for me and it's also GoFest month. I'll focus on GoFest instead 💫

being the 21st you might very well have leftover special eggs from go fest to grind out by then
I'm happy they are finally giving us some more "obscure" pokemon and not going for the popular ones. Maybe one day we will get mantyke comm day or venipede
Was planning to take a break after GO Fest and this announcement isn’t changing my mind.
Yeah can’t care too much for this community day. I don’t play GBL so all these GBL oriented comm days are meaningless to me
Honestly I feel like the last really good com day was gible :/ maybe rogonrola but I’m so over the pvp com days now
@@gizmoegamer4487 I mean Brutal Swing for Deino was pretty good (it’s my favourite Pokemon) but then Tyranitar got it in one of the season updates.
@@TomPlaysPoGo I did forget about that one, you’re right that was a sick com day. I only wish they made the zweilous shiny aswell
Honestly, I don't personally want this pokemon But im not going to bash niantic for the selection. Everyone has their favorites, and it's a chance for those players to have there fill at shinies.
If they're gonna do a PVP community day it should at least be for something useful and difficult to find, like carbink, skarmory, or gligar
Finally elektross gets some love. I have one for UL just waiting for VS

PVP is a giant sack of dog logs. I may not even feel compelled to turn on my game for this Community Day
Yes. All egg events are worthless. Sounds great on paper. But actually outcome of what you hatch relative to what you want, never works out in the players favor
Okay, you’ve convinced me. I’ll play this one. Wasn’t gonna.
Hope my go plus picks up a few shinies bc I’m not even gonna look at my phone

Riding high after GoFest? You make me laugh 😂😂😂
I really wish Eelektross was a better pokemon, it's one of my favorites.
No bonuses, no raid relevant pokemon, and the comm day box will probably have an E Fast TM cuz of VS. SKKIIIIIIIIP
The fact that we have to wait a month for a bad community day makes it worse. I’m surprised you’re liking it. You’re the only person I’ve seen supporting it which is NOT what I expected

Just going to get 3 shinies and be done with it.. wish they would do a totodile com day or something.
I'd like more feralgators. It's a decent all around Pokemon to have
Dope vid Count, yea, no, I’m gonna sit this community day out

Tynamo evolutions are cool.
i got a rank 2 in UL
I actually predicted this was going to be a Comm Day mom ages ago, and called it.

*Mon
I'm excited but specifically bc I've been needing tynamo candies and its a different mon for a community day
This isn’t even a decent GBL Mon it’s a single attribute with no decent bait move it sucks why are u hyping it up its not even good for raiding
New shiny? Sure I’ll play some
You & Poke AK have different opinions on this CD
It’s a rare shiny? Trying to wrap my head around that comment
I’m not sure why he said it’s a rare shiny. It also barely changes as a shiny. Never heard someone say “oh can’t wait to get a shiny tynamo”
I already built a top 10 GBL rank eelektross I’m not building another lmao
Niantic what a joke . What useless Pokemon
I'm glad to finally have shiny Eelectross in the game but other 2 out the shiny family isn't that great, at least global go week is the week before
I don’t know why the community is saying this is the worst one of the year? It’s a new shiny debut. It’s definitely not my favorite Pokemon but at least we’ll all have it. I’m not a pvp player but I’m just excited to get a new shiny.

This CD is not for me, I am a pve player
I always skip community day classic. Don’t care much since already have the shiny. As for brand new for community day, I try to catch three shiny to complete the family and I’m done.
With no bonuses this is a certified couch com day
TynaNO
this will be the fist community day i skip.. well not go out to do. I’ll do event on my couch
I think this is an interesting choice and it gets a move that makes it good great even while i don’t think it’s better then the bird pikipek however at least we get a good pvp move out of it. Tynamo? Seriously? 😆 Wait. 😆
I heard rumors of it being teddiursa since there’s a full moon the next day. I was really excited for a shiny Ursaluna. Tynamo sucks in comparison wish they would do cooler Pokémon. Past few community days have sucked
We did have a teddiursa day within the last 2 years… so probably not this year
Sorry I disagree where you’re coming from with Tynamo. I'm just make this 12kg 🥚 hatch cday I will catch tynamo but will focus on 12kg 🥚

Can’t wait for this community day
Awesome 👏
Need the ✨ Shiny
The new move gives it real spice in PvP
It doesn’t matter what move it gets it stats and charge moves are really bad it will be destroyed in go battle and never give Niantic any money they are crooks and liars
I'm excited for tynamo community Day
Right I love this Pokémon I’m thinking of taking a day trip to nyc for it
Youre the only person
Say Utopia… now say Unova 💀 Anuuva lol
I love this Pokémon I’m so excited
New shiny that's it
Thanks for the video, Jinsula. I'm going to give this a miss to take a break. The Pokemon does nothing for me and it's also GoFest month. I'll focus on GoFest instead 💫
lies, its trash in pvp. not worth.
Skip... PvP is ass
Garbage Pokemon. Hard pass!
The shiny sucks and barely changes. I’m skipping this one tbh.
Tynamo itself may sick, but Eelektross looks great in green
