It would be cool if they introduced a move like this into pokemon go. Not sure how, perhaps an acid spray clone but instead of harshly debuffing the opponents defense it harshly raises the users.
Haven't looked at the middle evolution yet; was thinking it might be niche good in some cups. It also gets wildcharge in main series games as almost a signature move, so I'm surprised it doesn't have it.
Eelektross could be decent if they gave it Icy Wind. Electric + Ice is the only type combination with perfect neutral offense in Pokémon GO, and the debuff would help it's lackluster bulk. Unfortunately Eelektross doesn't learn any Ice type attacks in the main series.
Another flaw I’ve found when I’ve run Electric type Pokemon is the lack of a Water resistance. Take shadow Feraligatr for example, if it has one shadow claw advantage it’ll beat this in the 1s. Makes it dicey to swap into it - if it can’t beat something like this easily what’s the point?
Eelektross is super cool in the main games. His ability is levitate so he is immune to ground, so he has no weaknesses. Too bad thats not really practical for PoGo
Niantic can get away with sprinkling in boring stuff when they have big events like GoFests going on. The most active and money-spending trainers will be spending on the events
Dan, Eel even with VS is underwhelming. But I’m calling at the start of next season it’s announced it receives Wild charge. Eelektross with VS, Dragon Claw, and Wild Charge looks nice. Particularly in the 1s and 0s.
@@TheWaross I agree it’s likely to come after world if niantic adds wild charge. But you would be surprised, in one shields it’s 23-19 against the meta 497 battle score, with zero shields 20-22 battle score 495 against the meta. Frail electric pokemon need wild charge to be competitive, bulky ones need zap cannon
should have given it grass knot and gigadrain. then add the mechanic for healing moves so that gigadrain heals you. Also add abilities like levitate and this thing is a beast.
I really think he's better off not using thunderbolt in the great league; it's too expensive. Nonetheless, he's probably only useable in limited cups (electric cup 🤮)
Let me be honest here I used this Mon once for a catch cup am I’m telling you it was terrible! It cannot take fast move for his life! No meta relevance what ever! lol Oh stay home! Or maybe go out with the kids am do something! Just what k did with the past CD!
Eelektross has the ability Levitate in the core series of games, making it immune to its only weakness. It can learn Body Slam and Wild Charge via TM.
Sadly it doesn't exists in pokemon go

The meta may make a major shift after this season, so make sure you get good pvp ivs, but yea, don’t hold your breath.

To think we couldve had totodile day instead
That would have to be a com day classic since we've already had it.
@@jeremykops well regardless just about ANYTHING wouldve been better than this
@@kingvegeta7868 I absolutely agree with you!
Yeah, niantic keep pushing tbis electric to the meta, i mean hisuian voltorb or togedemaru is much better electic type why not one of them

Thank you, Dan.

I think they are waiting for after the World Championship to shake things up. But the stats on it just aren't there

How about its viability in ultra league? Coverage moves might be useful, no? Not that’s it’s a great mon anyway

Shouldn't this have been primarina cday instead? Or will that be the August cday?
One starter each season means it has to be August.
I like how shiny eltross looks, but overall pretty mid.
Some of us are only lvl 36 or so still. Any comm day is a chance to farm exp and dust
Such an underwhelming pokemon
Garbage poke
