    I have been battling with the pH compatibility of SAP and Niacinamide.
    Some resources I read online wasn't satisfactory.
    This video has given me a great relief😂 .
    Now I can formulate with the both actives without fear of irritation.

    This is fantastic 👏.
    I have some questions. For vitamin C to be effective, the PH should be below 3.5.
    For Niacinamide to be effective on skin, it should range from 4-6 to level. How do you combine such ingredients with different PH levels?
    I think for effectiveness, u should separate formulation.
    You can do a separate formulation for vitamin C and different formula for Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid because their PH ranges are between 4-6, so it can be combined for effective reasult which won't course irrtation.
    Thanks

    • @MegaPM2000
      @MegaPM2000 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, your observation is very correct. Actual research has shown that niacinamide cannot be added to acidic formulations. That is, together with vitamin C. Because it can cause niacinamide to break down into niacin and then make the formulation irritating to the skin.

    • @vanessaalcapulco
      @vanessaalcapulco 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's why she used SAP not L-ascorbic acid. SAP best ph range is 6-7 which is similar to Niacinamide

    • @cecilvig

      Niacinamide is active at a pH of 6 - 7.5
      SAP is active at a pH of 6-5 - 7
      Sepiwhite is active at a pH of 6.5 - 7
      No, there will be not skin irritation, unless one is allergic to one of the ingredients used. That is why it is always important to do a patch test, before fully using a product

    Hi cecil. When i try to make a serum with sepiwhite of low pH (4-4.5), it turns cloudy and milky. Sepiwhite is said to be stable below pH of 5 and above 6.2. So why does it get cloudy when i lower the pH?
