I only have one arm. Ive been hunting deer with a bolt action for 30 years. The tactical style grip is perfect over the old straight grips I have always shot. . Your wrist isn't torqued and it feels better. When buying a new rifle, see if you can put it up and aim with one arm.😮👍
Easily accurate enough for any hunting scenario. People don't realize that 1 moa is more accuracy than they need for hunting. That's 5 inches at 500 yards, which 99% of shooters can't hold that steady anyway. Perfect entry level hunting rifle.
Hi bro from Australia 🇦🇺, great videos, im 70 years, mum and dad worked for WINCHESTER Australia Geelong 1960s , I had BSA heavy barrel.222 , Im tradie toolmaker made steel reloader ,using 3x9 scope, putting 5 in 32mm circle at 100yds 😊cheers 🍻
My Axis in 25-06 w/out the accu trigger shoots .5 avg at 200 with the 110 ELDX handloads. I don't buy factory ammo. You buy spring and hex screws for 7 bucks to fix standard trigger. Breaks right at 2.5 lbs. Love my Savages. Good shooting WTW.
Wow, everyone on firing line was using suppressors. You will not see that here in Illinois since no one is allowed to own them here. Past time to leave this state.
I have a gen 1 savage axis chambered 6.5 CM, and it's a nice shooting rifle, despite a real heavy trigger. If I can get that trigger pull lightened up, it will be shooting sub moa. I wish it had the acu trigger!
Very nice shooting rifle. Savage always made nice bolt guns . Dad had 338 win mag and my bro has it . Dad also got 308 axis . And iv had a 17hmr i gave dad not fan of the 17hmr on game made get a new 22mag later own or 22lr to have . Like fine a base model axis in 400 ledgen or 450 bushmaster .
Hey Adam. Really love the channel dude. From Zimbabwe. Just a thought about your trip to South Africa. Have done any practice on shooting sticks. They used a lot out in the field. Good to get comfy on them before you get into the bush. Keep up the good work and be safe from the bush. Ross from Zimbabwe.
Hi Love your videos I am in the market for a new deer rifle I have narrowed it down to 3 Savage axis 2 pro .308 Ruger American gen 2 .308 Savage trail hunter .308 Any taught on witch one is the best?
Whotee, I asked a little bit ago which gun I should get for 30-06.. from your experience with the ergonomics, accuracy, etc. would this be a possible choice for that caliber?
Get a Vanguard ( about $ 900 dollars ). Then start reloading , once you have some brass then it doesn’t cost that much to load . .63 cents for powder , .40 for bullet , .10 primer = $ 1.13 per round compared to $ 4.00 per round for loaded ammo .
whooty I got a question, ive got a savage axis ll xp 6.5 cm just like urs, and recently have the 6.5 pro like urs on its way. question is why 20 in barrel and heavy barrel on the new pro? even ruger gen ll's have 22in barrels. i know heavy makes better stability but 20 in wth?
No clue on the answer I'm not the savage engineer 😁 BUT I believe the recent trend is a little shorter barrels to make the overall length shorter with a suppressor. Weatherby, Ruger, and others have done the same thing
@@WHOTEEWHO what about with respect to accuracy and value for the cost? Was about to purchase either a gen 2 or a cva, then saw this and it added a new variable to the decision haha. And I can only get one. PS - love the reviews, keep em coming!
@@brandondoss5896 I agree with Joe,looks like an MDT oryx. Yes WTW was there shooting and says it's a Savage ,but perhaps Savage is using MDT parts like they have on other rifles?

Awesome. Good shootin
I bought a CVA Cascade SB in 350 legend this past spring. I wish I had known Savage was coming out with this, I would have waited.
I have that rifle in 308. It is fantastic. This rifle is really a different animal. Get both!
Wow, everyone on firing line was using suppressors. You will not see that here in Illinois since no one is allowed to own them here. Past time to leave this state.
Listen we don’t value hearing here in IL. Suppressors look scary….your hearing doesn’t matter 😂
As an IL resident I thought the same 😂
Back in the day that's all we use was 3×9 scopes so. We didn't have 24 zoomies as you say it.😁
I really like the camo pattern
glad too see this shoot, hope my dealer can get one soon, lipseys and davidsons seem to be outta stock😂

Love that stock 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent shooting and very good rifle, Savage is my favorite, best bang for the buck IMHO. -W. Liggett
Those rifles do shoot good ! N over all pretty good products !!
I dig it man.enjoy your videos!

Good Hunting with that rifle and your Safari.
Great job 👏
Send it!
Love that song
Love your videos
I appreciate you watching!
Awesome,
Thanks for watching
Cool shooter 😎 💯👍
Hey Peter
Interesting to see you shooting
Off the bench.
Are the new Savage Axis 2 Pro and new wood stocked Axis 2 pillar bedded? Are the barrels on both models free floated?
Some nice gurps.
Whats the trigger like! looks good from my perspective! What is the price?
Try reaching under the gun with your left hand to catch the casings. Little easier and less awkward.
Try just racking the bolt and catching the cases in the air before they hit the ground. Looks way cooler😂 jk sorta😂🤣
Thanks!
Thank you! Always appreciate you watching bigtime
my dealer finally got me same one in 6.5 on its way, cant wait
AWESOME
Try 143 grain they seem to fly better than any other I can find in all 3 rifles
Which would you choose Savage Axis 2 Pro or Ruger American Gen 2? Thanks!
Savage

Yes. I practiced. Video soon on it
Tripods. Seem all the rage too,,up to and over a thousand bucks,,,see them in africa much??jus curious
That's the first thing I found out when I had a big oryx infront of me....I couldn't shoot off sticks 😅
I have had more luck with 143gr in 6.5 creed than anything else
Some good, tight groups Bud!!

Hi Love your videos I am in the market for a new deer rifle I have narrowed it down to 3
Savage axis 2 pro .308
Ruger American gen 2 .308
Savage trail hunter .308
Any taught on witch one is the best?
I'd pick the trail hunter if you made me pick
@@WHOTEEWHO thank you I was leaning that way.
Hey Adam, so between this new Axis Pro and the Trail Hunter Lite, which do you favor? Price is about the same most places I've looked.
I'd probably go axis. To add a 3rd option I like the 110 trail hunter. I prefer a heavier barrel if I get the choice.
Berger 157 gr if they’ll fit in mag box
The african rig? Practicing w/ shooting stick?
Your buddy Mr.Spomer may let you borrow his.
just orderd my 2nd pro in 25 06
Awesome
Looks like a LOT of AB supressors on the end of those Savages. Were they sponsoring the event?
Savage suppressors
@WHOTEEWHO ten 4. The way the camera angle looked like they were "ribbed" like the AB. keep up the great content brother!
Try some 127gr LRX out of it for African plains game.
Good idea
❤❤❤
Hi love your videos, what is your opinion on the savage axis ii pro vs ruger American gen 2 in .308 looking for a new hunting rifle.
Thank you
I'd pick the savage
@@WHOTEEWHO thank you
Did you have to modify the stock so the barrel does'nt touch the stock?
No I did not
Been trying to find the Axis 2 PRO, no one has it, can't even get it from Savage.
Whotee, I asked a little bit ago which gun I should get for 30-06.. from your experience with the ergonomics, accuracy, etc. would this be a possible choice for that caliber?
Yup. Be a good one
@@WHOTEEWHOthank you! I like the look of this bing bang more than the trail hunters, and if it’s as accurate then it’s an easy choice
What 140 grain ammo?
I want a Weatherby 6.5-300 but it's $120 for 20rnds and a $3000 rifle...
Just get a vanguard
Yes in a vanguard much cheaper
The vanguard talon looks like a nice option. Has a peak 44 stock

Is that the woodland or western camo?
Woodland
What is the price on these???
how does it compare to the Gen 2 ruger american, cva cascade, and savage 110 trail hunter? (cost, accuracy, value, bang for $$)?
Compatable to cost of the ruger. Cheaper than the cva by a bit
@@WHOTEEWHO what about with respect to accuracy and value for the cost? Was about to purchase either a gen 2 or a cva, then saw this and it added a new variable to the decision haha. And I can only get one. PS - love the reviews, keep em coming!

How are those bipods attached if not to the sling stud up front?
Allows for 2 studs
@@WHOTEEWHO so there’s a hole pre drilled from factory just not a sling stud there?
Yup. 2 spots for a swivel stud. Have 2 or just 1
Wow Who_Tee, you allow left-handers on your range, next thing you know you you're going to have ranga's.🙃🙃
🤣🤣🤣
What caliber is it Adam?
6.5 Creedmore. Never mind.
I think he said 6.5 creedmor
6.5cm
I dont have a problem with 6.5cm at all.
I do have a problem with manufacturers that only offer their rifle in 6.5cm & .308. It's BS.
Did everyone at the range have the same gun.
Yes
Let us know what scope you finally put on your Savage Axis Pro!!
I showed that in last night's video :)
Looks like my browning x bolt in 300 wm
Sportsman’s wherehouse has them on sale right now $479.00 ! Deal !……..

If they are putting all the 110 stuff in the Axis why not just buy a 110.

6.5cm
