I'm really looking forward to implementing the strategies you've shared. thank you so much for sharing this Xhanti, God Bless🙏🏽.
Thank you so much, such an informative video. I am guilty for over-highlighting, especially with regards to my standards. But I am getting better. Thanks to you!
But your advice of adding a study time and when i am allowed to rest to my time lecture table is brilliant , also lack of planning but the 24hour rule of recapping on my study timetable for better retention and using weekends to apply the knowledge I.e after retrieving the knowledge I can attempt the tutorials of next week
Regarding lack of planning every lecture unit has a syllabus of content , so I also think going through the table of contents of the book and checking how many chapters will be taught in the semester and the study guides for learning outcomes especially evident when problem solving by understanding the principles/theory taught and applying the principles correctly through triggers(key words and conditions ie variables given ) and applying the principle/concept to answer the questions
Tutorials under exam conditions(trigger) in other words I can only answer the Tutorial questions under a allocated time and no note referencing and learning from my mistakes especially from the question or the theory

Hi there . Well it depends on what you mean by assignments . Are these tests and exams that are timed or are they assignments requiring research that needs to be submitted at a specific point in time ?
@@glam_blaze this is good question and perhaps worthy to include in a video . As rule of thumb , practice how you play . As you do the practice tutorials and exams do so under exam pressure to practice time management . In addition on the day of exam , stick to the time allocation for each subject . What I found is that there are enough easy marks to earn on all questions . Rather focus on attempting all questions and come back later to those that don’t make sense .
Hi Xhanti, thank you for the strategies you shared in this video. I have a question, not sure how soon you may see this comment. Hopefully, you see it today and reply soon. I am currently studying to take an exam and i have been studying for close to 5 months now and recently started incorporating answering questions and i see a lot of lapses with the study method of just reading the textbook. However, i have exactly one month before my example, how would you advise me to structure my study plan in a month before my exam? My plan is to complete the question bank i am currently using ( i have 633 questions left) and re-do it ( the total question in the study bank is 3048) before my exam date while also taking practice test. I am currently not working or attending any class. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.
Hi , I am glad this video is was off assistance . I am actually planning to post a video on exam/test prep after the video I am about to post drops . To answer you now though , I would advise that before you do the question bank , start off with an integrated full mock exam that covers all the topics . This way you will be able to see what topics are you naturally strong in and which ones are you not . Let this then guide you on which questions to focus on . I would focus first on the topics that I struggled with on the mock exam . Secondly look at the past exam trends and see which topics tend to have the most weighting or are the most difficult. Do the questions of those earlier than the easier or less asked topics . Then in terms of planning on a daily basis , the nice thing for you is that you are not working . So I would breakdown my day into study intervals of say 2 hours each and then focus on specific subjects /disciplines within that period . You would want to have a full 8 hour day from from 8- 5 where you do the questions . In the evening perhaps you can focus on marking your tests and revision . As long as you use the time table and put the plan in place , doing the questions under exam pressure should help .
Hi @@xhantimshunqane . What disappointing news i have. I started taking the diagnostic exams but got so discouraged and paralyzed with fear and doubt that I ended it abruptly. Hi there . I hope you are well . There is no time limit . As a minimum make sure you study the work that was covered in class for that day . I advocate for the 24 hour rule , which states that you should post read maximum within 24 hours of when the content was released . This allows you to benefit from the gains of information while it’s still fresh from class or videos. As for sessions you can mix it up but as a rule I had 2 hour sessions for each subject . Then I worked in 25 minute sessions within the 2 hour block. I hope this clarifies .
Hi this is a good question . I would say as minimum if you had a lecture for it you should study it . So as you would see in my video I advocate for a principle know as the 24 hour rule . So as along as that day I studied what was covered in class I was happy . This is is however the minimum. As student you want to study throughout the day in short study sessions with breaks in between . So don’t look at how many subjects . Rather look at did o cover the work covered . Secondly you then want to test yourself.
Hi Tony I hope you are well . I usually slept everday at 11 pm and woke up at 6:30 . I got 7.5 hours of sleep . The consensus scientifically is to get 7- 8 hours depending on your body and what feels right to you etc. Now it does not matter what time you sleep morning or evening person etc. For example morning people may sleep at 9 and wake up 4:30 or 5 . They will start working at 6. Evening people like myself sleep at 11 and wake up 6:30 and start working at 8 am. You just need to get continuous 7- 8 hours that is not interrupted . I hope this helps.
