I love that..."A failure is not a failure, it's a cat life - and now you got 8 more to go." Definitely using that and keeping that mindset moving forward. Also, I'm gonna need that hoodie. 🔥🔥🔥

This episode came at the perfect time. Currently facing this issue now with a roommate that is consistently acting as though I have not vocalized and expressed my boundaries and respect factors/do's and don'ts and plays ditsy dumb in every conversation we have about it. This episode for me is confirmation of my transparency and intelligence and true articulation of our modern day society. Thank you very very very much !

every time i watch you i cry, i wish i had your strength.... it's so exhausting to combat the willful ignorance, gas lighting, toxic corporate environment.... All that said, thank you

I wish you could talk to Charlemagne your boy about how ignorant he sounded this week on the breakfast club saying that the term ‘colored’ is not something offensive & it’s based on context. 🤦🏾‍♀️ He even doubled down & said the term ‘people of color’ is the same as ‘colored.’ I was so disappointed. But I also recall the colorism ignorant comments both he & Envy had & Amanda helped them understand. It’s frustrating bc of their platform & how many people are listening. Is this also willful ignorance???

“What is the most fair way that we can create the least amount of harm for folks?”
I Had to note that simple statement, as it distills what willful ignorance is always trying to distract from. Thank you for this vid-essay- so good. 👏🏽

Listening-JUST-to-Respond, is one of the biggest examples of Willful Ignorance that I've ever come across...May be the EASIEST to point out, as well.

I love the Star Wars reference. I looked up Willful Ignorence and came across this video to find a way to inform my college students about the upcoming election and how willful ignorance is a dangerous thing for this election when so much is at stake for this country and for those very students that I council

Do an episode while you're braiding some guy's hair or while you're getting your hair done or while you're hosting a mixer or from the car of a train to Paris or something (ok bad idea) but don't just sit there, be creative, be original, you're Amanda FVCKING Seales. I fvcks with you, always have, keep pushing, peace queen!

I understand that academically, colorism has that definition, but I can't understand why? To me colorism shouldn't be only one way! It makes more sense for colorism to go both ways, and being prejudice according to skin tone and it's proximity to whiteness should just be antiblackness. I think the same thing about feminism. It should mean pro/for/about women and their issues, not equally off the sexes and genders. Please understand that my issue is with the english language and the academic use of it, not either of these two movements or what they represent.

To be a conductor I believe you must learn how to operate properly. Then allow God. Whom ever you see fit that is your God. Hopefully A Righteous one. Jah! For Am a witness. Then allow him to guide you and our people to better days in this terrestrial plane the best you can. "Lead your people and they Shall follow." And my hope is that i do correctly. As I do expect any Black leader should in his or her given Gifts from the most high. Rest in Atmosphere Mother Moore. May we one day see our people in prosperity in our original kingship of ❤ "For we our docile humble people by nature until the wars within ours are conquered and then unleashed in fury upon the the inferior blood of the fallen crism prince of the air!

So, is this Sista not a contemporary "Philosopher?" (Minus a dissertation, maybe.) If we stay tuned, the question'll be answered within few decades.
..."Black Women Philosophers." Where do we find themin our HIStory?
...Hmph. A practical philosopher at that. IMO.

Not exactly correct on wilful ignorance. It's a legal term. It is being deliberately ignorance especially when there is awareness that knowledge would implicate one. In law, it mostly does not mean merely failing to gain knowledge. Nor is it feigning ignorance. Trump is the leading example of wilful ignorance in part. He was being told a truth but turned from it to gain different less sturdy perspectives. Subtle but real--in law.
