    I absolutely love your break down of workouts . It helps me so much when doing my own training, what exercises are worth it and lean towards my fitness goals. It helps me to stay away from ones that will waste my time. Because of your honesty, dedication to your business and passion to share with us science backed explanations it has motivated me to begin to study as a PT, and CNC. Please keep them coming. I apologize for this long comment, but I want you to know the impact your videos have made in my life.

    Many people act surprised when they hear for the first time how idiotic celebrity trainers often are, but to me this has always made so much sense. Celebrities are most of the time uneducated, easily scammable and more importantly RICH, so it's no wonder, really, that they are constantly surrounded by vultures. Now, I'm not talking about Megan specifically here, even though her trainer is (apparently and allegedly) erring on the subpar side of things; in fact, Mike Israetel from Renaissance Periodization is basically making half of his living from critiquing the dumbest things these trainers force onto their celebrity clients. So...yeah! Not surprised at all. : )
    Very fun video, Justina! Hope you're doing great. ❤

    As a recently retired personal trainer/group exercise instructor for 20 years (certified) I agree with alot of things you stated. I saw the knees caving and the lower back not in contact with the floor. Since I didn't see I hope Meg was doing moves to help with her mobility. I agree there are so many trainers out there that just look good, but have no idea why they are doing what they're doing. No programming skills.

    Hi, it is good to have someone who gives a blow-by-blow account of exercises that clients are doing that are benefiting them or a waste of time or may end up injuring them in the long run.
    The poor clients are at the mercy of the trainer and you don't know if you have a good or a bad trainer. They may have come highly recommended.
    So I'm very grateful to you for going over these different exercises and what they are and are not doing.
    Not only is this important for younger people who are training but also for women who have gone into menopause phase of their
    their life. Menopausal women are already discouraged because they're putting on weight. They don't know how to deal with it. And you don't need someone who does not understand the human body and how it works, who does not know what they're doing , wasting your time ,and causing you to become more discouraged because you're not seeing the results that you're looking for.

Caroline Girvan, as much as I enjoy her workouts , calls a split squat - Static Lunges, and calls Bulgarian Split squats Bulgarian Lunges and then people are commenting how they do so many "lunges" in her workouts. Hi Justin! I have been watching you for years. This video was especially interesting. I was wondering about the fire hydrants/ donkey kicks comment that these won’t build muscle- can you elaborate? If it a warm up and not challenging enough to promote any real growth?

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Essentially your only resistance is gravity AND you're working in a small range of motion so it's just not the most efficient way to gain muscle.

    Uh nice, I have learnt something new today with the squats and lunges.
    What I hate about those sh tloads of weird online trainer programmes is that they are using babyweights and pretend it is soooo hard and that this is how they grew muscle. But when you look at their quads and hamstrings you know they move around heavy weights as well. Very heavy weights. But I think thats a thing with most trainers. They have those workouts which they show on the screen and then there are the secret gym workouts 😂. But they still make you fitter, so it is ok but it is simply not possible to become huge by using some 25lbs dumbbell for a squat and above all not for glutes. Glutes need so much load....

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hey! I didn’t attack Meg or what she’s doing. I offered insight as a professional and complimented Meg many times throughout the video. But you decided to attack the way that I look without an ounce of professional insight. That says a lot about you.

    • @wendystapleton1072
      @wendystapleton1072 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The way that you attacked that video basically showed a very negative and distasteful approach. As a professional it could have been done a lot more tasteful. A real professional would not take the opportunity to jab at another trainer publicly and attack them to make themselves look like they are better or more knowledgeable in their craft. I've seen and worked with a lot of different trainers that never take that approach. They can explain themselves without trying to belittle or attack another professional trainer and their methods. Your approach came across very offensive like like you had a serious problem with her trainer and his methods. Obviously, he couldn't be too bad of a trainer if he got Meg chiseled the way she is. This really doesn't say anything about me; other than, the fact that I noticed how unprofessional your strategy is as far as critiquing. I listen to this video from beginning to end and all I heard was negativity and everything that you were saying and you tried to add a little justification by trying to explain your point of view when you could have been a lot less catty. Meg must be getting the results she desired for her to trust that trainer and continue training with with him. GO MEG!!! 💯🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Well we can agree on one thing: GO MEG!
      And then we can disagree on everything else. If you don’t like the way I speak, you don’t need to watch. If you don’t like the way I look, you can keep that to yourself. Attacking the way someone looks is absolutely disgusting and says a lot about you.

    • @claudiarios2440
      @claudiarios2440 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think she is mostly criticizing her trainers approach, not megan. Megan has an amazing starting body and great genetics. Once most people have been working out for more then 2 years. Most will start to realize how important form and technique are in not only achieving your goals but avoiding injuries. But it's good to have a second opinion from a professional to understand how we can improve. She also did mention how much she has improved.
