That's the thing, the ketogenic diet wasn't discovered it was our natural state before the carb and sugar industries took over. Almost 100% of mental health problems can be cured with diet! I've suffered with mental health problems for about 30 years and now I've went 100% carnivore I'm having no problems with my mental health at all! Also I feel and look better than I ever have

She’s talking about it being discovered as a therapy for medical conditions.

Brett and MM- would love to have you speak at the APhA pharmacy conference. As a pharmacist health coach, I find that de-prescribing is often ignored. Metabolic therapy is one of the only interventions I’ve seen that gets patients to need de-prescribing. Pharmacists can be very helpful team members in this space.

Thats a great point. We would love to be able to speak at the APhA conference as well. Pharmacists could play an integral part in a mental healthcare team.

My General Anxiety Disorder/depression literally vanished when I went hard keto 3 years ago (along with 45 lbs and all my meds). I’m just low-carb now and still feel better than I did 30 years ago.
Q: Might keto therapy be helpful for alleviating some symptoms of Sexual or Body Dysmorphia (alone or prior to hormones and /or surgery)?

@Metabolic Mind I'm from Sri Lanka. Is there any sri lankan psychiatric doctor who had training in keto therapy in your circle?

Any real data on how many people are able to "eat" a very high fat diet with adequate protein and water? What percentage of people can keep this type of diet for decades? Essentially a quasi semi starvation mimicking diet.

Virta Health has excellent 5-year data on their ketogenic intervention. But unfortunately, there aren't many other studies that have looked at keto diets for this long. There are certainly numerous anecdotal experiences of people remaining in ketosis for a decade or more, but more research on this would be helpful for the medical community to more widely embrace it.

@@metabolicmind It must take a great deal of determination and discipline.
