Darren Plumpton - I agree 💯 I was so in love with her as a lad!!! I always thought it was cool because when they would show things like this on TV, the music is piped-in but her voice is not! If you watch all of her TV videos very closely you can tell that it's not the record when she sings. I had all of her albums, so I noticed right off. Plus she's hip and would throw in a "yeah" or "a-ha" ...

@@johnsallee7824 THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED JOHN for your wonderful reply.
      I appreciate it,it is brilliant.
So GREAT to meet another "Clarkie" like me who TOTALLY LOVES Petula Clark.
I have heard all the other female vocalist/artists and of course most are very good indeed and there's no doubting that what so ever.
However no one for me ,and in my opinion, comes anywhere close to Petula.
Petula has soooooo much talent she is absolutely incredible.
Mega-Star Pop Star, Amazing Movie Actress and Phenomenal Musical Theatre Performer and Songwriter as well as recording in French, Italian, Spanish and German.
Having a EIGHTY year career span Petula Clark is Unmatchable Unsurpassable and Unique.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER PETULA CLARK.
I am just incredibly thankful that I lived in the same era as Petula Clark CBE.
      And I always will be.❤❤❤

The 60s had a massive explosion of talent. From UK was Petula Clark dusty Springfield, Sandy Shaw, Cilla Black and Lulu. In the US the list is endless, all the girl bands - Ronettes, Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas etc etc etc. Rockers like Janis Joplin, black singers such as Aretha, her sister, Dionne Warwick. A wonderful time for great music.
I had forgotten though how good Petula Clark was, I am old enough to remember her and the other British singers. Even the French produced some greats too, I adored Mireille Mathieu at the time.

I finally got to see her live on stage last year when she played the bird lady in Mary Poppins in the West End. She was nearly 90 years old and clearly having the time of her life. The voice and presence were still there good and strong. OK it wasn’t the way I’d imagined seeing her perform live but I can still tick it off the bucket list and watch these great videos people have posted. I went off her for a while in the mid 80s after she made some political statements about the Falklands and the miners strike from the stage while performing at the Albert Hall before flying back to her home in Switzerland but I only have to listen to that great voice and these great songs and can’t help but forgive her.

Went dancing last weekend, live band, so much fun! kids from the 80s and 90s belting out MoTown and mo' from the 60s and 70s (my era) with their horns and drums and all. And i see myself in this video - that guy and i have all the same moves!

I was 5 years old when this song came out and have vivid memories of my parents listening to it on our Zenith console color TV/Stereo in our North Hollywood, CA home. I had just got my first snare drum and cymbal and played along to this song and 58 years later I am still a drummer and still love this song~!

Dude in the red jacket is really getting into it. I would assume that the dancers were dancing in an exaggerated way for the camera. Dancing was more like the way Petula Clark danced, slightly swinging her hips and arms. That was more normal. Lol.
