What a shocking and derogatory headline for an incredible woman. Please change the title and you will get more views. 'A Tribute to the Legend Petula Clark' would be a good one. Thank you
Agreed Caroline💯🇬🇧
Don't fancy the voice over getting any close to that✌️🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏😁💪
Was supposed to be the "Feed the Birds" lady in the London Stage show but she did not make it. Her songs take me back to better times
I absolutely agree.
It was unwarranted, disrespectful and absolutely and inappropriate.
Aging individuals have the same value as younger individuals.
Let's just hope when you get to 90 you will not have aged?
Thank you, Caroline.
For a 90 year old she still looks pretty good. Most of us won't get that far.
Such a great singer and still have a couple 45records of her.

I fell in love with Petula Clark the first time I heard her voice and saw her angelic face on television. Of course, I was in the 5th grade, but after all these years I am still stunned by her beauty and voice. What a classy lady. She will always be my favorite. God bless you Petula Clark. This lady, and she is just that, represents a rare description these days, TALENT. Her age is irrelevant, her example is important and like so many who have passed recently, we shall never see her like again.
The most amazing singer ever.
She came in Montréal and she speak and sing in french. I'm almost 30 years Younger but I do remember when I saw her on TN and she reflected Joy and happiness.

Petula Clark, one perpetually beautiful and brilliant human!💙
It's people like Petula Clarke's songs that heals my pain of growing up in discomfort as a child. Thanks Petula for helping me cross the bridge if time in the past, allowing me move on to be the older, wiser adult I am today. I'll alway love you Petula.
l think she is awesome....love her songs.....great rhythm and voice. We all get old.....and she has done well....❤
Aging is a part of life.
What does one expect?
The real beauty is what is inside of a person through
each age. Aging gracefully.
Quit acting like a person is suppose to still look like they
did when they were young.
Again, the REAL BEAUTY THAT IS ON THE INSIDE IS WHAT
IT IS ALL ABOUT!
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!
Pet Clark is one of the greatest female Singers (and enduring) Britain has ever produced! Multi-talented from a young child. What people never comment on, is during the sixties (the era she is best associated with) people tend to forget, that nearly 60 yeas ago, and in your late thirties - you were no chicken and knocking on a bit - and Petula was competing with a lot of young talent in tee Music Industry - particularly in the Charts; she did it with ease, and did not look out of place with all the young things, yet she’d been around and in the business long before many of her co-stars were even born! She had no problems with hit after hit! This was no easy feat! She really deserves some kind of an Award for that achievement alone! She’s great! I want to see her reach WAY past 100!
Just as beautiful as ever and much wiser. ❤
I saw her live in the Paris Theatre in London in the 1970s and it was one of the most memorable performances. The one thing I remember the most was she was a real lady.
Downtown was just a truly fantastic song. I remember as a kid watching her sing it on TV. Fantastic.
Love her voice....quality...good.
My favourite song from Petula Clarke is called Sailor, my Dad used to love listening to her sing that.🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
I first became a Clark fan in the 1960's when my ex was stationed in Germany. "Downtown" was a big hit then, and I've enjoyed her music ever since! Thanks for the interesting article.
I grew up with the melodies of Petula Clark, and sang along with her "hit" tunes with such gusto... what a singer, actress and still performing to sell out crowds....I hope I live to look as gracious as her in my coming years🥳🙏
We're very happy to know that you're a fan of Petula. In your opinion, what is her finest song?
"Downtown", my fave!
I totally remember the performance with Belafonte! I’m 73 years of age , they both were amazing! Going back to the invasion of Europe, I was born not long after, people like her are stars!😘😘👏
Petula Clark has had a career that no one of this generation of musical acts will ever match.
Petula's career is totally Unmatchable and Unique.
An Eighty year career that has seen her on stage and television with some of the Greatest and Biggest stars of all time.
Dean Martin,Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Junior, Lucille Ball,Perry Como, Sasha Distel to name but a few.
Petula has had chart topping and award winning records in France,Italy,Germany,Spain and of course her homeland The United Kingdom.
Petula's crystal clear and pitch perfect singing voice and pinpoint accurate diction is absolutely phenomenal and is a template for all other female vocalist to try and follow.
Petula Clark CBE has reached a milestone year and all I can say is CONGRATULATIONS Petula and please continue to be THE BEST of the best.
I always loved her music as a teenager. Downtown was my favourite, including all her music. Thanks Petula for your beautiful voice. God Bless.
I agree totally with Caroline - Petula Clark was 1 in a million
Would love to see Petula Clark and Julie Andrews sing together. I admire them both. ❤
The world is a better place with Petula in it, ive always loved her ❤
A great, good soul and singer.
She looks great. She aged very gracefully.
I agree she has aged well
She looks great! She always looked younger then her age! Your title is rude! Stop concentrating on age! Women are more than their skin!
While you got most of her career highlights correctly, your title is so rude and inappropriate. I saw Petula in Mary Poppins in London last November, on her 90th birthday. She sounded terrific and got a huge standing ovation during the curtain call.
I will always admire and honor her. She is outstanding in talent in many aspects of entertainment and a life well lived! ❤
Sailor, a song of Petula Clark is also one of my favourites
She still looks great!
Remember to keep headlines respectful ✌
As a youngster I was totally “in love” with this wonderful and talented human being xx
She looks fantastic for 90! Go Petunia!❤
I love this! We are all the same.
I did not know about her moment with Harry. I first saw Petula on TV as a child in the 60's singing her iconic song "Don't Sleep In The Subway." It's always been one of my favorites.
She’s absolutely fantastic ❤❤
Loved this beautiful lady.❤️❤️
Petula I think you are worthy of my admiration , not only because of your gifted beautiful voice but also the integrity with which you have lived your life 💜
I grew up with Pet... What a wonderful voice and wonderful lady..... May she go on forever.......Lots of love Pet
I have loved her since I was a child... I first saw her live when she toured Australia at 82!
U.K. Women are Beautiful, Talented, Versatile, Strong and Captivating and Petula is the Epitome of all these Fine Qualities!!!!! Cheers from Canada!!!!!
Met Petula back in the 1960's when she was appearing on the TV show "Thank your lucky Stars". I have always said she was the friendliest star I have ever met. Stood there for ages talking and signing autographs. Taking photo's of stars has been my hobby for many years now. I love the ones I have of her.
Years ago in the 60’s my husband and I went on several occasions to hear her sing at O’Keefe’s Centre in Toronto. We loved her performances. Thank you Petula.
Harry Belafonte.🥰...he was a gorgeous, highly talented man. Petula looks great. I hope I get to be 90 in 20 years and will be fortunate enough have her resilience.
I know Im alot younger than most Petula fans, but I cherish her! If you don't like 50s to 90s pop music, you don't know music. Petula is very special and I play her often. I know the old women in the neighborhood like it too. !! Tears of joy already!
I first saw Petula live in Pérols Arena in 1962 when I was 17. I married my pied-noir boyfriend in 1965 & became Anglo-French. I still live near Pérols & remember her wonderful singing which accompanies me from high school through Drama School, Uni in Montpellier & my teaching career to retirement. Thank you for being a happy presence & leading me to occasionally burst into song, as do Harry Belafonte, Cy Grant & all the great vocalists of the 60s.
I throught she was in her 70s. I am amazed.
Fabulous entertainer! Love her! Legend!
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Petula. Which of her songs appealed to you the most?
“Downtown” is a classic! Love it! ❤
@FactsVerseUK I found it very interesting to find your post regarding Petula Clark. I do not believe in coincidences. Less than 48 hours ago, a friend mentioned Olivia Newton John and did I enjoy her music. I said yes. I come from a background of music lovers. I immediately said, “Do you remember Petula Clark?” It is with great joy that I know she is alive and well. I thank her for sharing her talent with world. Petula Clark is a Living Legend. Thank you again for sharing. She will be forever remembered. Never forgotten. ❤️🎶
I can hear her now DOWNTOWN !! Love her ! Best wishes to her .
When I was a young lad in the early sixties, around ten years of age, I was in love with Petula, my first crush!
She’s lovely!! I’m a big fan!
My father loved ❤😊her,beautiful voice
Fell in Love with Petula Clark. Saw he on TV performing her big hits. Went out and bought her recordings and of course played them over and over again. She was just beautiful and had so much energy. You could tell that she had a bright and out going personality. She was a genuine person, not what they call a Diva these days. Her wonderful voice was a pleasure to hear. She was so upbeat in her presentation. I wish I could turn the clock back and see her in her heyday all over again. All the best to this beautiful and captivating classy Lady of music.
I'm 71 now an still a Pet Clark fan an still listening to her Greatest Hits CD because her music an voice always had a way of perking my day an mood up !! In my opinion her version of Kids Me Goodbye was her best an my favorite but of course each to their own !! She surely was / is one the Greatest !! Love Ya Pet Clark
Petula Clark was the love of my life when I was 9 and 10 years old. My favorite songs where "A Sign of the Times" and "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love."
Petula Clark has lived in France most of her adult life. Married a French man. Was hugely popular in France before she was known in USA. Strangely enough the video show Ms Clark as having started her career in the US with Downtown. Her greatest popular song was in French ''Je me sens bien auprès de toi'' (I feel good near you).
Love her hit songs.
I just saw her in Goodbye Mr. Chips with Peter O'Toole. Fabulous
She is a very pretty lady...very special...love her upbeat 🎶 music...proud Brit.
darling pet! love at first sight and sound! a fan since 1964.
She looks great for 90! Most people aren't blessed enough to reach that age.
My favorite song is "This my Song" written by Charlie Chaplin. Justone of his many talents.
Thank you so much for this tribute to the wonderful Petula! I have loved and followed her for years. (That sounds kind of creepy, but you know what I mean.)

Thank you so much for your beautiful message for Petula. Which of her songs appealed to you the most?
She's still beautiful, not only in looks, but as a beautiful person.
Everyone gets old and she has done it gracefully your title wants changing .
I had the pleasure to have lunch with this wonderful Lady. She performed on stage in the play Blood Brothers. Then my brother told me that after the play? we will be going to lunch with Her. I thought he had lost his mind. But here she came gave hugs. And we walked to the near by Indian restaurant. It was so surreal.
What a wonderful privilege for you! WOW!!
She’s still very beautiful! 😊
I ave always loved her. She appeared at my local theatre where I booked a box to treat my friends on my fiftieth birthday. Isn't it about time that she received the accolade of Dame of the British Empire for her services as an international star ? Many of her contemporaries have - so about time that she joined their illustrious company here.
I completley agree , why she has never been made a Dame baffles and saddens me .
Wished I looked as good as that at 90 beautiful she is xx
