Marlon and Carla, we absolutely loved teaming up with you and doing this collaboration. You two are awesome people. Your professionalism and cool, laidback personalities are incredible and we're blessed to count you as friends. - Josh & Kalie
Love their channel! One of the first one’s we started watching when we made the decision that we’re going to move to Portugal. You guys are awesome too!!! :)
I subscribed immediately to your channel. I found it thanks to Josh & Kalie. Since the 30th of December I´m in Coimbra near to the Alma Shopping, but with a Schengen passport. European portuguese is very different from brazilian, which I managed well. My mother´s language is german, I learned argentinian spanish together with english. My father was my mother´s french teacher of russian origin, so at age 5 I had already 3 or 4 languages in my bag, now they are much more. In your video I saw a park ¿where is it? Greetings, Teo
Wow Teo with so many languages already it won’t be long before you become fluent in Portuguese! Thanks for subscribing 😊 If I’m not mistaken, the park we filmed at is called Parque do Choupalinho 👍🏽
I don't know I think the apps can be useful you'll never know what really works until you put it into practice at the end of the day but that said Obrigado amigas E amigos
expat is the gourmet name for immigrant...usually the British and Americans like to use the term expat to distinguish themselves from others they consider inferior...so they couldn't simply be immigrants like a Pakistani or an Indian...
I totally agree with you. In any country , you always find the British and Americans are always expats , even if they lived in a country 20 or 30 years
The struggle is real...When you are thinking that learning French is easier than learning Portuguese, well, you are in trouble!! I have to figure this out and the Portuguese who are so nice, welcoming and accommodating are not helping me becauseyou are right that ! Sigh
@@tamaramadelin4831 sorry to hear that. My advice to you is, be persistent - they reply in English, you reply back in Portuguese (if possible) 😜or simply ask them if they could help you improve your Portuguese by speaking to you only in the target language - Portuguese people, in general, are happy to help! In fact, some likely think they’re being helpful by speaking to you in a language you’re more comfortable with ☺️
@@portuguesewithcarla I’m a member of “ the journey “ and I’ve just started as a total beginner. Such good advice! The issue with being spoken to in English, especially in big cities, is definitelly a big one when you're trying to use Portuguese.

I’ve always wondered why some are expats and others are immigrants. 🤔
