HEY GUYS! I posted a video about how to color your hair at home using eSalon- if you have questions regarding formulation I’ll be directing you to them because I can’t formulate/give advice on colors without seeing your hair etc. Please check out that video 🤗
So I did a Demi first like a week ago so can I just do the color over it now since technically I filled it or does it all need to be done in the same setting
@@lizlika1227 5-10 grays.. no..a thick strip just take a cotton ball and before you color it take the developer (alone) apply to area wait 10 min... remove and then go about how you would do it regularly. Hope this helps
Morgan Elizabeth If my hair already has the warm golden red tones , do I still need to fill my hair to go back to my natural dark hair or do I just go straight into the process?
Thanks for the insider tips! Would love to see/hear your tips on overall care. My 14 year old is always going to bed with a wet head and I am constantly smh. Learned a good deal, can't wait to put into practice to get my hair back on track to being in what I would be proud to say is healthy. Thanks so much Morgan!
Tamara Holly ahh tell her no!! If she insists braid it! Our hair is most fragile when wet and then the friction when sleeping causes a lot of breakage! Thanks so much! I’ll put a hair care video on the list 💗
Hi Morgan ! (: I recently just went darker about 2 weeks ago. The girl who did my hair did apply a filler however she had mentioned that because my hair was so light the darker tone will fade or that my hair would appear lighter at the ends. Well she's totally right because I can see the ends are lighter in shade then compared to the rest of my hair. In some areas my hair slightly appears to be greenishhhh. My question is should I go back in with a filler and re dye my hair again to try and cancel the greenish color I see OR just apply color again. I hope I receive a response from you.
Hmm two weeks is really fast for fading, she might have needed to fill twice. I would definitely suggest doing a Demi permanent (filler/toner) over the ends, you shouldn’t need to apply a permanent again. She should use something in the shade you want but with warmth to combat the green :) good luck!!
Great info, thanks. I am a bleach blonde and want to go to a yellow blonde. Do I still need to fill the hair even though only going a couple shades darker? If I do need to fill could you possibly tell me what colour filler I would need please?
I am going light to dark and am so excited to do this for the first time in my life!!! I have always been blonde. Seriously. I started bleaching my hair in jr high and have been doing so since. I was wondering, if I wanted to leave the blonde tips and maybe some of my natural, what tips do you have about that? I want to go to a brown. Nothing too dark. My sister describes my hair as mousy. Brown with LOTs of warmth. Like orange!
It's honestly really tricky for me to formulate for each person without seeing your hair, knowing the history etc. I would recommend trying eSalon because its professional color and a colorist formulates for you based on your needs and wants! I have a link in my latest video to get your first kit for $10. Thanks for watching!
If I have a really dark brown hair color and I am trying to go black, do I still need to use a filler? I would say that I am about a level 3 and am trying to get to a level 2. Thank you!
How can I fix hot roots? I was trying 2 shades lighter than my natural hair color and now it’s uneven. Do you recommend me to use a darker hair dye with 10V to cover up the roots? Thanks for your awesome tips 👏🏽
Hey! I have naturally medium brown hair. I've been dying my hair black for years. I decided to go blonde and it took me 2-3 years. When I got blonde I decided to go back black. It fades so fast and has a reddish color coming out toward the ends, where I was more blonde. And my roots fade so quick too. I think I should have filled my hair like you mentioned. Is it too late to fill it now? What do you recommend? I want my hair pitch black. I've had to dye it black 3 times in the past 4ish months. I do wash in cool water and use color treated shampoo, wash less etc.
Great Video I have worked with Redken Color for close to 30 years Easy to use Beautiful shades and coverage You are so professional and easy to follow Thank you! Could you share your nail color in this video? Thank you

hey morgan....luv the videos.... are there any certain brands of dark color that you recommend at sallys and I do have a little bit of grey starting to cone in so Im gonna do that 20 volume like you said ☺
I’m going to try this! Thanks for the tips! This was very helpful and was a great “refresher course” for me! I have a small background in cosmetology where I took it all 4 years of high school but that was about 5 years ago now lol. I have never tried going darker let alone doing it at home. I’ve always been blonde! I’m excited to try it.
Hey girl! This was super helpful and made sense! I’m a naturally dark haired girl who got a warm balayage. I really miss my dark hair and was wondering do I still need to fill-in, if the blonde is very warm toned?
Thank you for this video. I'm getting my hair dyed one last time by my hairdresser who I love and is unfortunately closing her shop. After that I'll need to find a new hairdresser and hopefully start dying my hair at home. I have a toddler and need to save money for a new car, so as much as I'd love to get my hair dyed in a salon, I don't think it's in the budget for the foreseeable future.
Your hairdresser might be willing to share the formula she uses for you since she’s closing- this would make doing your own so much easier! I have a toddler and a newborn so I get it! Thanks for watching
I had ash blonde highlights for many years. I went back to almost my natural hair color, dark 2 months ago. It was done professional at a salon. I am now going to do my second all one coloring but I want to do it myself at home. I will get my products at Cosmo Prof. Do I need a toner or can I just use color and volume 20 (for my grays)? My hair is a little lighter where I had my highlights.
yes i usually do.. but rarely have gotten what I wanted, so obv I want to be better. I love your videos!! Very informative and soooo helpful. Thanks for what you do.. XOXO
Hey loves, so I am a level 10, trying to get level 4 (cool) (I have lots of greys showing at the root, so I am doing permanent dye) I have red red protein filler as well as a level 6 golden brown box dye to fill. Is the red red enough to fill to a 4 or should I add the gold as well? (Too much?) I plan on dying it with a cool brown after it’s all filled. Help!!! 😭
Can you fill with redken shades eq or permanent dye? Also if I fill it with Sally's warm brown protein filler can you use redken eq for the actual color you want?
Can you please do a video on covering stubborn grey roots when you have foiled hair of a different colour, and how to avoid getting the neutral colour on your foiled hair?
Trying to figure out how to begin dyeing my pre-colored with plenty of virgin growth, natural kinky curly hair that is light auburn w/light strawberry blondish roots to a gorgeous med red for my roots and I picked a light strawberry blonde for my ends. Hoping for a baulioge, with money piece or million dollar to frame face. Went to sally's and bought EVERYTHING I could possibly need, and here I am, on day 3 of searching for how to videos, and just when I think I've got a game plan, and nearly begin, I turn into a chix sh&t, and back out. This time, I wonder if I got a filler? I did consult the sales representatives before the final purchase, and they walked me through the process and ensured me that I have everything I need to achieve my goal! Just don't remember any videos about fillers???
I have medium brown hair use Féria v38 and it always looks fabulous cause I carry red all the time ... and it is 20 volume but I am 44 and have lots of gray...I know I can go to Sally’s and get the professional colors but why if this works forever but I do usually get a filler always or the blonde highlights would bleed through now my hair own brown and blonde not a rich or bright blonde at all
I have some grey but not much so was going to get a 20 vol developer when I attempt to colour my hair at home soon. I probably have about 10-20% grey so will a 20vol developer be ok to use? Thank you so much for this video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can you do a video about toning your hair at home? I am going to be dyeing my hair dark brown and want to get rid of the red undertones at home. Please and thank you! 🙏🏼
Ok sooo I’m a level 10...now 😳🤦🏼♀️ I want to go back to this really pretty plum with 6rv mixed in that I used to be. Being as it has some of the red tones do I still need to fill with another color first or can I just go with the color? What filler would you recommend? Also I was told to use a protein builder since it’s been bleached so much, thoughts on this!
Sissy Palmer I am a level 10 too. I bought red red protein filler. I haven’t used it yet as it’s in the mail. But I watched a lot videos where people recommend using this one to fill. Can get it at Sally’s. There’s warm brown protein filler too (not available in Canada for me) I was going to use half red and half brown filler. Level 6 can probably do without the warm brown tho
Also added to say, I do my hair a lot at home because I can’t afford the salon bill 😅 I’ve years ago used box dyes to go back dark from natural ash blonde, but had no idea I had to fill even though they looked decent until they faded 😩
I have dark brown hair, and i'm trying to go blue-black. I have strands of grey hair at the front of my head and some at the back, would I still need level 20 developer? Also, After you've sectioned your hair, does the filler go on FIRST, and THEN the actual hair dye + developer? or is it the other way around? HELP!
Hi! When I use a filler, wouldn’t the Demi permanent fade eventually while the actual top color wouldn’t? Also if I’m using a Demi permanent from the drugstore, clairol natural instincts, what could I get at Sally that would be better? I don’t want to go permanent route to go darker. Thank you!
so I bought clairol natural instincts (demi permanent) in medium auburn and black. I right now have lightened hair on the tips of my hair so I'm dying it auburn to fill it and then dying it jet black. but when do I dye it black? the same day? at the same time? or should i do it another day?
Hi, Morgan! I have salt/pepper dark brown/gray on the top of my head from ears up...I’m dark brown from below ears...which developer should I use on the top of my head verses the bottom since I am not gray all over? Which brand of color at Sally’s would you recommend? Thank you! I am on fixed income & can no longer afford $120 or more visits to have hair done. If I want to go lighter on top...20 on top & 10 on bottom? Thank you! And which toner? I hate box stuff dries my hair makes it feel like straw! Yuck!
Hi Alyssa! If you have color on your ends you won’t be able to get them lighter with color- it would require bleach. Because of the gray on top you’d definitely do a 20 volume. I’m not familiar enough with the brands available at Sally’s to say which would be best (because I use Redken products and they don’t sell them unfortunately) but the employees should be able to guide you! Eventually I’ll be doing more research on the brands to be better able to recommend what etc :) You can aloe check out eSalon if you want more guidance/ formulation it’s $10 for your first kit 🤗
Hi thanks for your video! I dye my hair with dark brown , almost black with developer 10. I see some parts of the growth hair turning a bit red / brassy. Do you recommend me to dye starting from the roots and then after minutes place the remaining color down to the ends ? I”m planning on dying my hair again and then getting a Keratin treatment. The gloss option sounds good too! What’s your recommendation time wise when touching the roots and applying the gloss?
Hi!! Hair history hair balayaged (at salon) in 10/2018 no base color just balayaged, then toned. I haven’t done any color since then(only 1 haircut ) the ends of my hair is a level 7/8 now. Question/ do I need to fill only the ends or apply fill all over ?? My goal is my natural hair color , level 3 Thank you!!
Hey!! Last October I went to the salon and they filled and coloured my hair from a cool light blonde to a warm chocolatey brown! The colour is faded and the golden filler colour is showing on my ends! What would you recommend I do to fix it up? Do I need to re dye the hair or just tone it? :)
I have a problem with the demi permanent I've used from Sally's turning out way darker than expected. I'm trying to get back to my natural medium brown.
Oh no! It can be hard because the swatches started out a different level than what our hair is, I’m sorry that happened! Good news is it it will start to fade since it’s only a Demi!
Hi Morgan! I love this video it’s so helpful! When you say to fill your hair do you mean you add the demi permanent color after you’ve already colored your hair or is it something you do at the same time you are coloring it? Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this!!!! I've been trying to find any kind of information on how to keep up with my black hair at home, but all I've found it box dye tutorials and I just... never again wanna touch that😅
Thank you very much for this information. Do you have to fill your hair if the top of your hair is a level 3 and the bottom of your hair is about a level 5/6? I want to be a level 1.
Hello! I have a question for you. I had been coloring my hair black from the box dye… terrible idea when trying to transition to a lighter color. I started going to the salon to have it colored black the professional way but it’s been getting too expensive. What products to I use and how would I mix them to dye my hair black without all those chemicals in a box. Your feedback is much appreciated!
Hi i have a question my roots are black and the rest of my hair is dark chocolate brown. i want to go burgundy for my hair except my roots. What sally products are the best i should use for my hair to get it burgundy?
It's honestly really tricky for me to formulate for each person without seeing your hair, knowing the history etc. I would recommend trying eSalon because its professional color and a colorist formulates for you based on your needs and wants! Thank you for all the tips, I'm trying to color my hair a purple ombres. I believe I am a level 3 hair with my tips barely showing a level 6. I moved away from my hair stylist 3 years ago and haven't found someone to replace her where I live now. I'm have learned how to cut my hair myself, and now I am ready to teach myself to color my hair. I am looking for a dark brown dark deep purple ombre, or a black and grey silver ombre....I know what you're thinking lol it's dramatic but I need a dramatic change. If you've got any tips for me before I dive in please let me know 🙏🏼💜🖤 thank you
I have a heavy blonde balayage with my natural roots being about the same color as yours. I have way more blonde than roots, and I want to go back to (or close to) my natural color all over. I was looking at Sally’s Ion Color Brillance - could I mix a 6N and 6G? I saw another girl do this in a video and her hair turned out beautiful. Should I fill with 6G and then go over with 6N? Or mix the two to fill and then go over with a different color? I just want to achieve a chocolate brown color that’s close to my natural hair, something like your roots.
You stated about adding pigment to your hair from the color you stripped when lightening. What if you never lightened and are a level 5 but want to go to a level 3? Do you still need to fill with an undertone color if using a developer?
Great video. I have my nail license so I could use a professional site Do you have a favorite brand you use? I am a dark brown with a little grays and looking to go a vilot shade all over. Trying to keep it simple since I'm not a hair stylist. Thanks for the tips! 👍💜💜
Hi there what if you only want to color the few grays you have? I love my hair color and have only recently started getting grays. I want to avoid doing my whole head....what would you recommend for only dying your few random grays you have throughout your hair? Thank you!
Thats a tricky situation, theres no way to target just the grays unfortunately. You may want to try a powder/spray to cover as opposed to actually coloring. If you do want to color I'd recommend trying out eSalon as a professional will formulate for you. I have a promo code in my latest video to try them for $10!
Thanks for this helpful video! I am a natural 2 (dark brown-black) and am now a 9 (processed and lifted and bleached). Would you still recommend using 10 volume developer to go back a 2 or 3? Or should I use a 20 volume developer? Thanks for your help and education!
Thanks for watching :) as long as you aren’t covering gray yes you’ll want to use a 10 volume! Because of how light your hair is though you’ll want to fill the hair with warmth first (Orange & red undertones) this helps avoid thebgreenish tiny that can happen!
If my hair is bleached a goldish blonde already (similar to your color in this video) do I still need to fill? I don’t want orange or red under tones to my brown
Hi, I am planning to go lighter by 1/2 shade. Currently, am a level 5 and have about an inch dark brown regrowth. On your last video you said if we want to go lighter, we need to start away from the roots. But since i have dark roots, should I start from the roots, process 15 mins and then go to the ends as I was told colour is absorbed quicker on coloured ends?
Ernesha Foo are you using a lightener or a color? The color won’t lift the existing color just a heads up! You could do your roots first if you plan to wash them out before you do your ends later- to be safe with lightener for your ends that might be best just because if the damage lightener can donwhen left on for extended periods of time!
I’m starting to get grays. I have a balayage right now but i want to go light so I won’t have to color my hair as often with dark hair. Should I do light brown over balayage?
Might be a silly question but if I only have like 4 grey hairs? Would I treat my hair regularly or like grey if I want those covered?( also my hair is already dark brown. Probably like a 5 and my only goal is to go maybe 1 shade darker and cover greys)

I have baby fine highlighted hair, naturally about a level 7. Trying to go back to me normal color. I’ve applied a dp hue medium brown gloss to my hair, it’s a little too brassy. Does this dp hue gloss + semi permanent count as “filling” my hair? Can I apply a permanent color now? Can I apply a cool level 7 or should I stick with warm as I already have some warm tones in my hair?

Unfortunately, I found this video AFTER box dyeing my daughter's bleached (about 5 months ago). She has naturally pretty dark brown hair. I used Feria Starry Night. It turned it blue-black - in some areas. So, she isn't in love with it. Any tips or ideas to get her to an actual BLACK. Do I need to go to Sally's and buy 10 developer and some black dye and just redo it? I just want her to like the color and she's pretty unhappy right now. Any ideas would be helpful. TIA!
My hair is a dark brown and use Sally's wella products. I use a 20 volume to cover grays . Do i still need to add a filler ? Secondly I have to dye my hair every 4 to 5 weeks
Hello Gorgeous; Great intro. I am retired and broke but am considering becoming a licensed colorist as my retirement career. Your videos are so helpful!
These are great tips! ❤️I wish I knew some of these back when I used to dye my hair dark all the time. 😂 I didn’t know that going to bed with wet hair is damaging- can’t wait to see the hair tips video. Clearly, I need them- not that I really go to bed with wet hair often.
Thanks for watching gf! Yes, because your hair is most fragile while wet and it causes lots of friction when sleeping! If you do need to sleep with wet, braid it 😘💗
Hi there, ok so I have made the biggest mistake by using a box colour. I had greying mouse brown virgin hair (I did the greatest shave 4 years ago and never coloured it since) and went to a deep red. Yes it’s patchy and would like the best way to fix it please. Thanks Lee from Australia xo
Color corrections are tough, even for professionals! Was it a permanent color or demi? Hoping it will wash out some :) if not it may be necessary to seek professional help for even color :( are salons open in Australia? Sorry that happened!
Hi my hair is a level 7 neutral/slightly warm and I want to go to a level 2. What color filler would be best for me? Like more red, orange, etc? My natural hair color is a level 4n
Hi your video was so helpful but still confused as far as what to do with the tricky colors I wanted to do L’Oréal highcolor true violet and was thinking about using a 30 developer but I have grown out blond highlights my roots are dark brown would I die roots first ??!?
Brianah Lester hi! I’m not familiar with that color line at all- i just looked and it says for dark hair only so truthfully I don’t know. When I do punky colors I prelighten the hair and I use a deposit only color (meaning no developer required)
Can u please help me!..filled my hair with a salon quality dye level 7(gold) mixed with 5vol. I was told to paper towel the thick off then put my colour on with 10vol..40 mins. But it has come out red, the colour of the filler rather than my level 7 i wanted. So question is can i put 7 mixed with 10 vol again??..on my lengths...as i hate this red colour. Level 7 has always been what i like . My hair hasnt been coloured on lengths for a year up till today. It was very washed out and lift. Im quite grey now but was naturally a level 6/7 before. Please can you help as i hate this awful red.
Hi Morgan, i loved this video about coloring my roots! I am interested in the hair care tips video you mentioned at the end. I looked but did not find it. Can you help?

Trying to go darker from a level 9. What is a good filler to use as far as brand!? I only have a Sally’s near by! I’m wanting to stay neutral but no green!
I believe you can get wella at Sally's- thats what I would recommend! The associates should be able to help direct you as to what colors you'll need but anything labeled N is neutral :)
So a wella permanent color or would it be called something else? And thank you for your help! And so I get it right your apply whatever filler, leave it on and once time is up you don’t rinse and apply your desired color on top?
@@brooke3347 It would be a demi perm not a perm! You're gonna start with that, then completely wash your hair and for best results dry your hair then apply your perm color
Thank you so much! Your video was so so helpful! Thankful for people like yourself who have videos like this. I can’t always afford to get my hair done professionally so it’s nice to feel confident enough to do it at home with the help of your video. Now last question:) should I get a Demi perm that’s more golden to counteract and green or would a neutral filler and a neutral color be okay?

Morgan Elizabeth if it grey can you
So I did a Demi first like a week ago so can I just do the color over it now since technically I filled it or does it all need to be done in the same setting
So do you recommend the 20 volume even if you literally have like 10-15 greys? I have a funky patch like Storm from X Men lol, have had it for years!

I colored my hair dark brown today I had a blonde balayage! This was really helpful and I saved so much $ instead of going to the salon 😊
elena martinez yay, so glad to hear that!

so I have grown out dark brown roots that are like that brown/black hair color and the rest of bleached blonde, what filler should I use
Have you ever colored your hair at home?!
yeshhh
Alice was my personal hairdresser 😂
yes i usually do.. but rarely have gotten what I wanted, so obv I want to be better. I love your videos!! Very informative and soooo helpful. Thanks for what you do.. XOXO
Morgan Elizabeth yes I always color my hair I'm special needs I don't make a lot of money if I'm going darker I do it myself
Morgan Elizabeth Yes! Because, first time I went to a salon they ruined my hair!
Hey loves, so I am a level 10, trying to get level 4 (cool) (I have lots of greys showing at the root, so I am doing permanent dye)
I have red red protein filler as well as a level 6 golden brown box dye to fill.
Is the red red enough to fill to a 4 or should I add the gold as well? (Too much?)
I plan on dying it with a cool brown after it’s all filled. Help!!! 😭
Can you recommend a clear glaze and a filler from Sally? Thanks!
Hi great video thanks for the info 🙂. Is there a booster for grays on brown hair?
Can you fill with redken shades eq or permanent dye? Also if I fill it with Sally's warm brown protein filler can you use redken eq for the actual color you want?
Off topic, I LOVE your eye make up!!
Can you please do a video on covering stubborn grey roots when you have foiled hair of a different colour, and how to avoid getting the neutral colour on your foiled hair?
Following
Instead of toning, you could just use a cool toned, dark brown
Ok sooo I’m a level 10...now 😳🤦🏼♀️ I want to go back to this really pretty plum with 6rv mixed in that I used to be. Being as it has some of the red tones do I still need to fill with another color first or can I just go with the color? What filler would you recommend? Also I was told to use a protein builder since it’s been bleached so much, thoughts on this!
Sissy Palmer
I am a level 10 too.
You can do them the same day, make sure your hair is dry in between though!
Super excellent tips, @Morgan Elizabeth!! Thx. QUESTION: Do I still do filler if I'm only doing a demi-perm or semi-perm? THX so much! 😀💖
Disa Jardine yep!
I’ve actually found professional hair color on eBay for those products not sold at Sally’s. I usually buy Matrix Socolor.
After u rinse ur dye should u use a condioner or what do u recommend
I’m going dark. I only have grey in the front 2 quadrants. Should I use 10 developer on the back 2 and 20 on the front 2?
Hi thanks for your video! I dye my hair with dark brown , almost black with developer 10. I see some parts of the growth hair turning a bit red / brassy. Do you recommend me to dye starting from the roots and then after minutes place the remaining color down to the ends ? I”m planning on dying my hair again and then getting a Keratin treatment. The gloss option sounds good too! What’s your recommendation time wise when touching the roots and applying the gloss?
I have this same question too
ilm the process of actually dying your hair and make sure you use a cape!
*Film
Sorry no capes here ☠️
Super excellent tips, Morgan!! Thx. QUESTION: Do I still do filler if I'm only doing a demi-perm or semi-perm? THX so much! 😀💖
Hi!! Hair history hair balayaged (at salon) in 10/2018 no base color just balayaged, then toned. I haven’t done any color since then(only 1 haircut ) the ends of my hair is a level 7/8 now.
Question/ do I need to fill only the ends or apply fill all over ??
My goal is my natural hair color , level 3
Thank you!!
Carolyn yes anywhere that’s lighter would need the filler!
Thank you!
make a going lighter video!!
Lindsey Meuth I will!!
Great tips, thank you so much 😊
When is the filler colour applied? Is it after the initial darker dye on dry hair?
Nimi T you do it before you do the dark hair dye, so it should be the first thing you do on dry hair
I have highlights. I have natural growth with grays. Do I need to put 20 volume developer only at the roots or all over my hair? Thanks
Hey!! Last October I went to the salon and they filled and coloured my hair from a cool light blonde to a warm chocolatey brown! The colour is faded and the golden filler colour is showing on my ends! What would you recommend I do to fix it up? Do I need to re dye the hair or just tone it? :)
Hi ! I have a question, when i add the filler do I rinse it out then add the color I want or just leave the filler and add the color on top ??
Great question sounds like filler first I always added the filler to my bottles when going darker
Love your video can you make one for coloring stubborn greys with dark reds
So if my hair color is dyed gray i’d need to fill it with a red color before going black?
yes
Please do tips for dying hair red :)))
Yes tips on coloring hair red especially over old outgrown highlights please!
Thank you!!
Sandra Depew so glad it’s helpful! You’d do the demi perm first and then follow with the permanent color :)
Morgan Elizabeth thank you!
Is filler something I add to my color and apply all together
I can't seem to figure out how to get my roots to March the rest of my hair they're always lighter
Could you do a video on how to tone and fill please?🙌
Can you leave a link to the gloss that you are referring to? Thanks!
Thank you so much for this!!!! I've been trying to find any kind of information on how to keep up with my black hair at home, but all I've found it box dye tutorials and I just... never again wanna touch that😅
Yay so happy I could help 💗💗
Can you make a going lighter please?! Love your videos I learn so much❤️
Thank you very much for this information.
I have a link in my latest video to get your first kit for $10. Thanks for watching!
If you've got any tips for me before I dive in please let me know 🙏🏼💜🖤 thank you
Such a great video! Always go to bed with my hair wet lol
Alex that sounds like a beautiful outcome! I’m not sure if the ion brilliance is a Demi or a permanent- if possible I’d do wella for your filler!
What if you want as result an ashy level 7 hair from platinun blonde? If you fill it will the warmth come through?
No it won’t :) if you don’t fill it green will come through though!
As long as your final color is an ash or neutral, but definitely needs some red thrown back in for balance before the final stage!
@@castlesandcandy Thanks so much!
You stated about adding pigment to your hair from the color you stripped when lightening. What if you never lightened and are a level 5 but want to go to a level 3? Do you still need to fill with an undertone color if using a developer?
Great video. I have my nail license so I could use a professional site
Do you have a favorite brand you use? I am a dark brown with a little grays and looking to go a vilot shade all over. Trying to keep it simple since I'm not a hair stylist. Thanks for the tips! 👍💜💜
I was trained in Redken so that’s always my go to :)
Ok thank you❤
Hi there what if you only want to color the few grays you have?
Thank you for sharing these tips! Great video❤️
Grace Diana thank you Grace 💗
Do you need to fill your hair if your hair is gray and already a dark color
Yep! Hair that’s gone gray has essentially had all pigment removed so definitely want to fill :)
If my hair is bleached a goldish blonde already (similar to your color in this video) do I still need to fill? I don’t want orange or red under tones to my brown
Hi! It would depend on how much darker you’re going
Im currently a dark brown/black. I would like to lighten it to a light chesnutt brown. What developer should I use?

TIA!
This is so great! I have to dye mine Asap it’s so brassy! I love your color! TFS
Tavares Takeover thank you! I’m going to tone my next week it’s in need! Hah
I use a 3n and 4 n clairol? I have grey, so use 20 devopler . But want to go a little darker. What can I use?
My hair is a dark brown and use Sally's wella products. I use a 20 volume to cover grays . Do i still need to add a filler ? Secondly I have to dye my hair every 4 to 5 weeks
Did you end up dying your hair ? How did it turn out? I have dark brown virgin hair but I have grays I want to cover them but don’t know how
Hello Gorgeous; Great intro.
Hi!! have you released your video on coloring your hair lighter yet?
Hi,Love your hair colour. I wish I could get that colour on me.
I haven't made it yet, sorry! Now that I'm feeling better in my pregnancy I'll plan to mnake it soon
i bleached and highlighted my hair a while back and i want to go to a auburn brownish color, do i still need to fill my hair ?
