There are too many shopping malls built in major cities in China. Affected by online shopping and the epidemic, the operating conditions of most shopping malls are not very good. Such a mall would cost hundreds of millions to billions of dollars, and building a large mall is a serious challenge for developers.
It's true but in chinese cities there are millions of people. so there needs to be big shopping center for people to hangout. online shopping is causing people to be antisocial.

I live in LA and most malls are about to die off. Only about 3 malls are really thriving. A few are doing ok. And a few are literally on life support.
