The Brazillian women's volleyball team is in Macau from May 28 to June 2 to compete in the 2024 VNL before moving on to Hong Kong the week after June 11 to June 17. Maybe you can go support your team !
Keep it up 💪🎉❤
👍👍
Thanks so much for your efforts and time in making the vlogs. I know making these vlogs is very time consuming. I really enjoy your vlogs of trip in China. They are informative and fun to watch. They so much better than those fake and disinformation from mainstream media.
I wasn't planning to ever visit China...until I saw this episode! Macao has now been added to my bucket list😁Thank you so much for this brilliant video. See how you inspire people to travel to places they'd never considered before👏
Can't you just go for the enjoyment instead of just to check off an item on a stupid list?
澳门只是一个特区,中国发达的城市还有很多。
where are you from
@@curiousnomadic Can you just mind your own business instead of posting stupid replies?
@@heikeherbert3683 It's sad you boil experiences down to a list you can just check off. Why don't you use your own mind and come up with something original? People tired "bucket" list out over 10 years ago.
We saw a Chinese opera while we were in Nanning. It really was so lovely. So special to be in china. It really is. They love all cultures of people. They so accepting of you going to their country. So they have to have pictures taken with you. Lol. Laughed so much in China that my face ached and hurt. I have never smiled so much. Love china
哈哈,是不是笑得脸都受不了了?
This was super satisfying to watch - an almost carbon copy of my 2018 trip to Macau…watching your video I was able to retrace every step of mine. Two weeks into my Hong Kong trip, I decided to extend my trip for a further week in Macau. Checked myself into the Sheraton Hotel on the Cotai strip. A week later, after flying back home to Cape Town, I moved to Rio de Janeiro for almost two years. Miss those days of travelling like a wannabe be “rock star” 😂 my heart just longs “saudade” when watching these videos as every time I’m thinking “I was there”, “I walked there”, “I took a picture (selfie) there”
Chris and Carol, your video footage is amazing of China 🇨🇳 😍 👏 🙌 ❤ 👌 in 🌏 Asia.
Another Saturday spent traveling the world vicariously. 😀 Very interesting, thanks!
I have been to china and just loved it. Went to Nanning. South china. Such a tropical country. They grow alsorts. It is amazing. So lovely. Love the Chinese people in their own country. They are so lovely and special. Beautiful
Awesome, thank you so much Chris and Carol.
That's soo cool! Thank you guys for bringing your impressions of these awesome trips for us! That's really unique to see Portuguese culture in China, mixed with the Vegas atmosphere and all the splendor of the Capitalism. Crazy and very interesting!
You did an excellent job of this. Great showcase for Macau.
I was also confused first time in Macau very mix culture part of the city is like china part is Europe and night is like Vegas very interesting city.
Macau was a Portuguese colony, thus, the mix cultures.

@@JumpingPlaces The streets aroud the casino lisboa are more prosperous and one thing that never and won't change is the Portuguese everywhere

@@JumpingPlaces Thanks for the update!... Enjoy your trip!
Love to Great people from Pakistan
wonderful camera work. you guys are so adventurous. Wow . Don't forget pool drinks.🧋
Lovely video of Macau , hope you can go to the most excited city is Chongqing in Sichuan province
There is a glaring error, the colonial history of Macao started in 1887. Until then it was only rented, which is why Macau is so small. The flip side proves a point because in the 16th century the Ming Dynasty had the best sailing fleet in the world. And Europe looked like a primitive uncivilized place to the Chinese dynasty at that time.
thanks, settlement since 1557 then
16th and 17th century were considered the golden age for Portugal as they were so powerful worldwide so seems strange that they would be considered primitive then
@@JumpingPlaces It is fine. People aren't historians. The story of Macau is actually very funny. When the Portuguese established colonies in Africa and India, they usually took the ports by naval assaults. But in the case of Macau, they asked for the local government's permission to set up temporary settlements under the pretense of a shipwreck but managed to turn this into a semi-permanent lease. Later the Portuguese in Macau even sent musketeers and gunmen to fight Manchus for the Ming during the last years of the Ming Empire.
@@JumpingPlaces Many Westerners might not know, but China has a rich seafaring history that predates European exploration. By the 15th century, Chinese sailors had already reached Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. They brought Islam to Southeast Asia, liberated serfs in Sri Lanka, and left Chinese descendants in Madagascar. They even created some of the earliest nautical charts that accurately depicted the globe, including the Americas and its native peoples, landscapes, and animals.
However, things changed dramatically in the late 16th century. During the Ming Dynasty's peak, China’s maritime dominance quickly turned inward. The Battle of Luliang, a tough naval conflict between China, Korea, and Japan, is a key part of this history. Global cooling and agricultural issues led to peasant revolts, and the Ming Emperor, fearing threats to his rule, abandoned naval power and forbade ordinary people from sailing.
Then the Portuguese arrived. Initially, they only rented Macau's port for trade. But with the collapse of the Chinese dynasty, colonization began, and other nations rushed in to profit.
Admiral cheng ho sailed to melaka before the portuguese arrived
Interessante notar que alguns prédios arquitetônico que temos em nosso Brasil! Excelente trabalho e ótimo vídeo. Torcendo que vocês retornem ao Brasil! Temos tanta cultura e belezas! Saúde e paz para vocês e os seus.
Welcome to Macau, China this weekend in great joy & peace to tours this remarkable places in Asia May of 2024❤❤❤Thanks you so much for this great video today’s in 2024❤❤❤

Thanks!
Fiquei maravilhada e fiquei ainda mais feliz com a legenda em português 🥰💜
Venice looks spectacular so beautiful
I wish that we could see more shopping like if you guys get souvenirs from your travels
we don't really get any since we don't want to carry them around all the time
I stayed before in the Venetian in Las Vegas and this one looks just like it, very cool!!
very good tour video
Never thought Macau would look like that. It sure it's beautiful 😍
That Canto-Opera is actually quite good.
I visited Macau back in 2011, it pretty much still looks the same. I had been to most of the places shown in this video. Thanks for sharing.
Tão interessante ver alguns prédios cuja a arquitetura temos em nosso Brasil. Excelente vídeo e sempre ótimo trabalho. Torcendo que vocês voltem ao Brasil! Tudo de bom para vocês e os seus.
Thank you for the info and the video. Now we can connect what Toranaga and John Blackthorne was talking about. JAPANSSSS!!! haha
Macau is a nice place to visit. We took the ferry from Hong Kong to do our visit of Macau.
Good to know, Macau is automonous & currency too different from China & unemployment is almost nill & no internet & visa restrictions. The video is short & sweet covering whole of Macau in 36 minutes. Good to see both of you look more energetic & pretty in Macau. Take care & appreciate your hard work & passion in making and sharing videos with us. Look forward to see Shanghai.
Macau changed a lot since my last visit in 1999, just a few month before it was handed to China. It had already changed since my previous visit in 1997.
In your video you missed the nicest garden in Macau, Lou Lim Ioc. Very pretty.
Btw the name Macau comes from A-Ma Gao, that means the bay of godess A-Ma. Where the A-Ma temple is located.
Ciao great video
i really really loved Macau! what a rich place🤩
I saw you in Macao I was walking in the street and saw you and myself in this video and if you have a bus card and your not adult yet is 1.5mop(pataca) and for adult is 3 mop(pataca)but for people that is 65 or above is free you can buy it for 200 or 100 mop (pataca) the meat in the video is jerky it taste so good and the biscuits is actually make by peanut and some biscuit crumbs idk too
Fun fact:most street name is named after solider except the mount forture where the Chinese and Portuguese have a war together in the mountains you can also see some canon left abandoned the thing that look like ship mats is actually a typhoon tellers there is a cheese factory (restaurant in the us)in the venitian
Wow! Macau is so beautiful and unique. Love the Asian Vegas Strip and Casinos. Colorful Buildings are awesome. Enjoy! 😊
Also carol please link the info for the stunning white and blue top at the end
nice flog brother..try to come hongkong
Wow what a place 👍🙂
Did you find the Pateis de Nata different from Portugal?
I've found it firmer as they make it with egg folks the filling instead of the creame
Cheers
Really enjoying your China videos. How many days do you have to stay in Macau before you are allowed back into mainland China for your second 144hr visa stay ?
Macau often gets compared to Las Vegas due to its gambling revenue dwarfing that of Las Vegas but that is where the similarities end. The food is much better in Macau (search yourself on Michelin Guide) but the shows are much better in Las Vegas. Most casinos in Macau are just baccarat and slots with a few other games shoved into the corner. It just depends on what you're into. The highlights for me when I went were the food, the bunjee jump, and oddly enough the jet boat from HK (cheap and upgrading is 100% worth it). The jet boat trip takes like an hour or so, goes ~60mph (96kph), and you get a lot of beautiful scenery along the way.
So cool
Macau is really a wonderful place
Beautiful stunning Macao 🇲🇴 city 🏙 of great China 🇨🇳 🌎❤
Wow, I am shocked to see the opulent new Macau. When the latest list of the wealthiest places of the world came out, Macau was one of them, and I couldn't believe it. The Macau that I visited in 1998 was nothing like this. There are so much improvements. Thank you for the inspiring video.
interesting, how was it when you visited? i think China developed it like crazy once the Portuguese officially handed it over
In Braga (North of Portugal) we also say bolinho de bacalhau :)
Chains people's is very nice and and Chaina is awesome place to visit guys you should also add the prices of the hotels so that the people's in overseas know where is the cheapest place to stay
When you visit Shanghai there is a “water village” called Zhou Zuang in the delta a short distance away. Old canals with moon bridges, very picturesque, just like old China. Suzhou is only an hour away by bus or taxi.
we have a video coming up fro another one called Zhujiajiao
Great! On my channel you can see me paragliding with same pilot you used in Uludeniz! You guys were my inspiration for going there.
Lived in Macau for 5 years working in Cotai. Too bad you didn't make the trip to Hong Kong on the ferry. Shanghai will be amazing as well. One of my favorite places. Great mix of old and new.
yeah originally we were only going to visit beijing on this trip in china since we had other plans in other countries but then we found out that we could go to macau or hong kong which would kind of "reset" our 144 hour free visa in china so decided to add more. We are more interested in hong kong but feel like we would want to spend more time there and not just a few days like here so we will do it properly in the future.
@@JumpingPlaces The number of things to see and do are a bit overwhelming in most of Asia. Really enjoyed my time there, pre-pandemic, but China is amazing. Enjoy a meal in Shanghai along the Bund at Lost Heaven.
Left Macau in 1984, never been back. Use to walk through Ruin of Sain Paul everyday to school, never seen that kind of crowd, just a ordinary place the residents!
Must be mostly tourist from mainland China!
As we are from England. We had to apply first to the Chinese embassy for a visa to get into china for the ten days we were there for. They sent out passports back and it had two years visa on our passport to go back to china. Which was good.... But then COVID happened.
14:01 Igreja ? The Portuguese also colonised Melaka in Malaysia in 1511. In Malay language, a church is called gereja !
Macau is very expensive to live in one of highest GDP per capita in the world visitors per day is 120,000 mostly from Hong Hong mainland china that work in the casinos.
Did not expect that.
3 days till I'm on a plane to Lisbon to see my cousin. 3 days on the beach in the Algarve. Can't wait
Steets remind me on Valencia
Welcome to Macau!!!
China's territory is the third largest in the world. There are many famous scenic spots, There are 56 ethnic groups in China. If you have the opportunity, you can travel to Xinjiang and Tibet. There are no restrictions on foreigners. Only those who have been there will know how sacred the snow-capped mountains and lakes are.
it wasn't a colony in a "traditional" sense. It was rented to the Portuguese, willingly by the Ming dynasty government since they had no use of it. It was leased to Portugal but no end date was specified.
Thanks for sharing your video what a beautiful Macau i never been to Macau before only Hong Kong i been to Hong Kong 2 time in pass when i went back to my home country Cambodia from Toronto Canada i always stops in Hong Kong stay there for a few days before I head to Cambodia 🇰🇭 thanks again enjoy your time in Macau take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Nice video! It doesn't look like there were many westerners in a place that's mostly western.
If you go back to China next time, I would love to see you guys visit and see your thoughts on Yunnan, Chongqing, Zhajiangjie, Xi’an, and Harbin!
ASSISTI O VIDEO E CURTIR PRINT ❤❤❤
Were you allowed the drone in Macau? Are there any beaches or it is all ports? Are there a lot of parks and cafe?
❤❤❤❤❤
There are beaches in coloane
❤️Macau🌟
Haha, the brasilean wave design on the street has also been copied in Düsseldorf, Germany on the front boulevard along the Rhine! ;)
Are you going to visit Hainan Island which is like hawaii of china
As a long time viewer from HK, I thought you folks would be interested in Macao given the shared Portuguese heritage between Macao and Brazil. Enjoy! :)
It was every intriguing for us seeing this all the way on this side of the world, we will visit hong kong also but we think it deserves more time which is why we didn't do a quick visit on this trip :D
@@JumpingPlaces You will enjoy HK as well, the city in the mountains will remind you of Rio!
It's funny I used to watch chinese operas like those as a kid here in Laoag City, northern Philippines, in one of the quonset huts behind the Cathedral.
chris watched a lot of kung fu films so he has seen many things like that also :D
The same group that runs & controls Vegas also does so in Macau ...
The jews
6 months wow. Carol 3 months good enough
Involve in those project in Macau . They got all the specialist in the world to make that a reality.
As long as your mobile phone SIM card has international roaming enabled, you can directly access social apps in mainland China. But if you use WIFI to upload YT videos, you must use a VPN. Because WIFI has limitations.Normal Western corporate websites are accessible in China, but social apps are restricted for political reasons. The U.S. Congress also wants to ban TIKTOK. Because TK challenges the media hegemony of the United States.
Bom dia tudo bem ❤❤❤
Macau. Former Portuguese colony
China should build more European architecture in their country. It looks nice. No hate on Chinese architecture. Love them both.
Haha, about the name "Macao", there's a saying that when the Portuguese ask the locals, the locals didn't understand and answer with Cantonese foul
language words (and sounds like "Macao") which means "WTF" in English! 😂😂😂😂
For a Chinese born overseas - in Brazil - it was a bit dismay to find out that Macau native people don't speak Portuguese, unless the own Portuguese who live over there 😞
