but i want to ask though, ideally how long a first date should last?1 hour?2 hour? or maybe even a whole day? i mean with enough time, you can watch a movie, then go to dinner and talk to get to know each other
It depends on how busy you are, but it might be good to do more than one thing on a date for example: Going to play dice with your partner and after you've talked a lot. Go to the movies.
I agree about the movie thing, especially for a first date. I think it's important to get to know your partner early on to see if your goals and values match. It's hard to do that during a movie, because you spend 1.5 to 2 hours staring at a screen. Definitely not a first date choice for me.
As for setting that goal of not dating someone from the same college, that's really interesting, because a lot of people meet their significant other at school in America since it gets harder to meet people (aside from online dating) once you start working full-time.
My favorite content from you are videos like this where you just talk about interesting stuff which makes for good listening practise
