My boyfriend is Japanese and I’m Malaysian, he does hold my bag some times but I didn’t ask for it. ちょっとびっくりした😳but I did asked いいの？and he will say いいよ、もちろん😌shopping part is very true... instead of waiting outside the shop or sitting at the bench, he will give opinion and choose clothes together which was really fun! Even what to eat we will discuss together instead of leaving the choice to only one of us. Food sharing part is not a problem as long as we asked each other’s permission politely ☺️ always start with itadakimasu and ends with gochisosamadeshita!

This must be new generation thing. Am in my 60s never had I ever asked nor bother to check my late hubby's password, nor check his phone messages. This also applies to majority of my friends. So is this a new generation habits of malaysian couples or plain generalisation
