    I truly do not understand WHY this channel does not have more followers, particularly if you are even remotely a fan of combloc/AK style rifles. When I have a question about an AK variant... this is my FIRST stop and more often than not I get what I'm looking for.
    With that said, I couldn't stand it any more and recently decided to pony up for a Romanian MD-65 underfolder parts kit. It has FIVE matching numbers on bolt, carrier and trunnion so it isn't quiet a mismash of junk. No idea where the other two matched numbers are... yet. This'll either be a rainy day, bored out of my mind build... OR... I'm sending it to Two Rivers and have them build it up proper at the same time I have them REBUILD my 2004 Century Arms Yugo M70B1 with a properly marked Childer's receiver. Choice... choices!!!

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd say give the build a go yourself. If it doesn't work out, then send it out to 2Rivers. Also, i noticed that Atlantic was showing some wASR10UF rifles a few weeks ago.

      @leftistsarenotpeople 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@misha5670 Atlantic: That is where I got the Romy md.65 underfolder from. Overpriced as all get out but in today's market, you have to pay to play. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm not into this for investment purposes with the intention to sell them in the future to make a profit. Purchases I have made/will make from here on out are strictly for mine own edification.

    I got a .223 Polytech under folder from Keng’s Firearms near Atlanta. Never got it to work at all. Even after repeated consultations with Mr. Keng himself, where he’d take mag after mag into his workshop and introduce them to a table grinder, no luck for me. After a dozen mags thrown into a local canal in total exasperation, traded it at a gun show for a basic 1911. Wouldn’t mind a do over on that deal tho.

    I remember going to gun shows in the mid 90s where there were still pre ban Chinese AKs on display for sale. My memory is prices of $800-1100 which I absolutely couldn’t afford. I had to settle for a MAK90 with that crappy thumbhole stock. Seems like they were going for $300-400. I’ve bought some Chinese AKs over the past year to satisfy that retained lust even though prices are 3 times higher.

    "some Hollywood films"? One should not understate the impact of the Wolverines, Mr. Misha :)
    I would venture to say that Red Dawn did for the AK in the US what Dirty Harry did for the .44 magnum (albeit over a longer time frame, as Red Dawn became a cult movie, and as the kids who were impacted by it grew up and were able to buy rifles)
