Just getting back into this game, and I'm reminded even more how absolutely insane this is compared to normal levels of play. There's definitely a lot of techniques I don't know yet.
To get to this level of play is just a matter of: - Taming the Black Bull that is quite an unweildy machine. - Learning the ins and outs of Momentum Throttle and its aplications. - Mastering MTS (Momentum Throttle Slide) and aplying it to the Black Bull (which takes another bit of taming). - Learn to Side Attack assist while using MT (Momentum Throttle) and on top of that, learning the Side Attack Edge boost (I forgot the name of the tech). Tell you what, is xtremely rewarding and satisfying to pull out but also quite a bit taxing on your hands. Still, I enjoy all the bits of adrenaline that generated that pain.
It's so cool to see the CPUs being lapped, something that obviously is not in a Time Attack. Also insane to see all those shift boosts in diamond cup in a speedrun like this.

48:30 it's insane how much of a lead you had, and the AI was able to close that gap within two seconds. This track is infamous for the AI 'cheating', but if you look at AI movement they don't move nearly as much as human players, they have mastered fine movement.
Being able to do all the advanced techniques is one thing, but doing them consistently like this without failing/hitting walls is insane. GX likely has the highest skill ceiling of all racing games.
I always thought there should have been a "Story Mode Cup" Track 1 - Sonic Oval Track 2 - Chapter 3 Track 3 - Chapter 7 Track 4 - Chapter 8 Track 5 - Chapter 9

Question why are you using the black bull it's stats don't really suggest a speedrunner machine with E boost and high grip or am I in the dark due to being more knowledgeable about f zero X with the black bull only is used in multi-player with a niche gimmick and in death race?
F-Zero GX stats are a plain lie. Black Bull doesn't really have the worst boost or good grip, it's quite slippery and fast. Black Bull has the best unboosted speed, can snake very well, good slide (called mts), and etc. And good machines like Blood Hawk are really not that great in GX. Just in case you're still wondering.
Black bull has slippery grip with alot of weight which gives you really fast MTSlides As compared to someone like falcon which has very direct grip... it's still possible for his machine but it should only be used in story mode, mainly chapter 3, and a little bit of chapter 4,7 and 8.... But you could also just use fat shark.. If anything its just personal preference.. Both fat shark and black bull are really the same
@@johnmecca9008 I play straight up with no exploits. Boyish00 on Twitch. I play this way for now. I have a 1:20 by playing the way you're talking about. Nearly 20 minutes slower than this WR. Not as cool and definitely not as fast.
To have advantage of these exploits you need to be insanely skilled! I can´t even master it more then 30 seconds! I did try to shift boost in Red Canyon and i fell 20 times off before i was having even 1 succesfull shift boost! And i am seeing a player like SuperSanic he does it with almost minimum failure!

Pretty sure that on Speedrun levels of "mechanics" that's a given, the AI can't keepup with "unintended" stuff. The run is pure skill nonetheless

It's both your health and boost energy. So if you hit a wall after using all your energy you're instantly dead and you have to restart the race.
