No doubt this took a lot of work to make. Was a big fan of this game back when it released and I still enjoy the runs. Thanks to everybody who had a hand in this.
Any game that makes a TAS spend almost an hour completing is a game that would take us normal people years to complete. Mad respect to these devs, they really know how to stack up their game with content.
This is fantastic, I've always been a fan of TAS runs, and Super Meat Boy has always been a favorite for speedruns. I thoroughly enjoyed the missile kite for the light world dr. fetus level.

I beat the TAS time on level 1-12x, using the same trick I managed to get a time of .98 seconds many years ago on xbox 360. Incidentally, I wasn't trying to do the trick, I was just slamming meat boy into the wall repeatedly and jumping out of pure rage. I have never been able to repeat that trick ever since.
Looking at the footage again, I think odds are I must've done the timer pause glitch by accident, because there is absolutely no way I took .1 seconds off of the TAS time. Still though, very impressive jump. If I did somehow legitimately earn that time, I don't understand it myself.
Dying allows me to to perform a trick where the objects in the level are delayed. This allows meat boy to beat a cycle not possible otherwise. The tune is used for a similar trick, it is basically a random cutscene which makes meatboy spawn while the other objects in the level don't progress.

This game broke me as a child. My older cousin introduced me to it. I got it for Xmas 2018 on my PS4. I beat the game later in January 2019, I WAS 10 YEARS OLD WHEN I BEAT THIS FUCKING GAME. It scarred me. This game is brutal.

This game broke me as a child. My older cousin introduced me to it. I got it for Xmas 2018 on my PS4. I beat the game later in January 2019, I WAS 10 YEARS OLD WHEN I BEAT THIS FUCKING GAME. It scarred me. This game is brutal.

no, when you press the jump button and pause at the same time you automatically jump
There used to be a glitch where if you pressed Jump and Pause at the same time, the game would think that you are pressing jump every frame
Yeah, but does it really matter in a TAS?
@@disc_00 It does. Normally you can jump only every 2 frames (1 frame to press jump and one to release jump), doing this pause glitch causes meat boy to jump on every frame, twice as many.
