The Aim Assist Shapes of Default Curves :: Apex Legends Settings

  • The shape of Apex Legends aim assist changes with your Response Curve. The default aim assist shapes are still active when you're using an ALC, even if your ALC Response Curve is creating a different aim assist shape. Default look sensitivity speeds are creating Slow Zone/Sensitivity Reduction areas on top of the Response Curve aim assist shapes; the zone grows as the speed is reduced and shrinks as speed is increased. ALC per optics affect this slow zone, while ALC yaw & pitch speeds create the actual aim assist but it changes with each ALC Response Curve.

    I just assumed the aim assist bubble would be the same size no matter what settings you have enabled.

    Hello! Not sure if you'll see this comment but I've got a couple questions. I'm wanting to play an exact copy of 4.5 - 3 linear converted to alc. Also, was curious to know if alc settings affects aim assist. You seem pretty knowledgeable so I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      th-cam.com/video/SnI904J7Epk/w-d-xo.html these curves have the same hitbox. If you want linear input you need to be at 0 curve on ALC. Each ALC curve has a different hitbox like the default curves. They're both there when on ALC. I'll link a reddit thread w/speed charts that seem to be pretty close to default speeds. The target angle velocity cut off is a circle of slow zone aim assist, 4.5 will not be possible on hipfire but could possibly be done on the ADS with the per optics; increase optics to shrink shape, decrease to enlarge.

      @@PickedaName_ so what you're saying is, and tell me if I'm wrong, I can use a "4.5" sense but won't get the benefit of the aim assist bubble change? What would the bubble be like on 4.5? Also, with all these findings, what's your sense? And what do you think is the more important things to know about alc and aim assist? To be honest a lot of what you're putting down is overwhelming, which is why I'm asking so many questions lol

    if this is all legit, you should tell me, is default aa better than alc in general? ppl seem to have a strong opinion that it is

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Default aa is the frequency at which the game overrides player input and tracks automatically. I think it is too frequent on console. The shapes I described are how the game affects your aim and also how the tracking aspect functions.
      Console Classic is aimbot; the players cannot aim because of the dot shape and they cannot miss once they are there because of the tracking frequency. I started using alc because I disliked console classic and how it felt like I could only hit shots the game allowed me to hit and every shot I hit felt like the game hitting it for me.
      The aa shape could be like High Velocity and people could actually aim/miss/track/predict regardless of tracking frequency but there's no reason to use that style of aa on console because 90% of players are using Classic.
      I enjoy playing the game more on alc because I'm aiming, I get annoyed because I'm fighting console Classic which feels like ai controlled by humans. 99% of the time when someone kills me it looks & feels like the game developers killed me. Everyone's aim looks identical because none of them can actually aim. I know when they see me aim at their face it looks impossible to them.

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also default aa is as strong as it is because of they lock the frame rate of consoles at 60fps. Pc aa is weaker because the frame rate is unlocked. The frequency of the tracking assist was chosen due to frame rate most players will be using. I still think it's too strong at 60 because I've been using a pc aa alc at 60fps for awhile ans the only issue I've had is my opponent's aa killing me for them.

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh and onther thing alc affect default settings and vice versa so even if you're using default settings the alc configs are affecting how they feel. Every default curve has a different shape and every alc curve has a different shape, size, and can function differently than shapes that are similar, plus the input mapping changes. Completely ridiculous settings screen.

    Go a step further a provide evidence that support your conclusions. Go into range and prove those shapes exist.

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do it yourself. It's obviously happening if you play a few games at each. Showing gameplay would prove nothing because the sensations are invisible. Nay sayers would see it as me missing because bad, and if I hit shots it's not obvious what shape I'm interacting with unless it's a dot. It's easy to test it yourself.

    • @melancholy5612
      @melancholy5612 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would be able to see the aim assist pulling on dummies in the range and with some editing you can outline the shape but ok👍

    • @PickedaName_
      @PickedaName_  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It doesn't pull. The dot and line are paths of least resistance, the parentheses are barriers, the square and circle are free aim. There's nothing to see unless I struggle to interact with the shapes. The only people who would want proof are people who don't believe the info and are too disinterested to disprove it themselves. Go a step further and test it yourself.
