Thank you for sharing the opening day of The Wizard of Oz precinct through my perspective. Overall, I am pleased to have a new addition to the park, and I do think it's a step in the right direction for Movie World, going back to their roots with classic film IP. I do have some mixed opinions that I felt were important to share, so hopefully I don't come across as a grumpy old man. I have no reason to complain other than being a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz and Movies in general, and maybe just feeling a tad disappointed in some (not all) areas. Nothing to gain from stirring the pot, just some observations which I hope people can understand are done in good spirit and transparency. ❤
Absolutely! It's very unpleasant lining up for such a long period of time in the baking hot sun. I don't believe there are ANY seats in the area and very minimal shade. Definitely need to provide this otherwise nobody will visit because it will be too uncomfortable.
@@HangtimeEnthusiast For sure! There is a lot of really great stuff here and I think the creative team and workers did an amazing job with the theming. It’s just a shame it’s not consistent throughout the entire land. But I’m just glad to have something new to be honest!
@ yea like if they brought the start of the queues theming all the way through the whole line it would look great but you know budget and things also i feel like the rides being so close is kinda weird because you have a rundown castle next to a Kansas barn yard
@@HangtimeEnthusiast Can totally understand the budget constraints. I guess the expectation was set really high because they've been teasing it as world class for a few years now and 'The Wizard of Oz' is such a beloved movie. Not really something you can afford to pull any punches on. I feel like if it was a little more clear what to expect before it opened, it wouldn't have been such a shock to see the maze of black fences.
This is so underwhelming, its not a land - it would have been smarter to capitalise on the movie and have food and merch, what a missed opportunity. And being able to see the other building and emergency stair cases - they could have done so much more with the area, very disappointing and def not $100 mill as has been suggested, at least there are some new family friendly coasters, i am sure this will be a drawcard and help with traffic on busy days

had very high expectations, bit underwhelming, lack of theming with the flight of the wicked and they need seats and more shading!!

I mean the area like still looks great but it looks like they didn’t put in as much time and effort they should have to make this a good land

I see us at the start meeting the characters 😂
Hope you had fun!
