Tbh, the wizard of oz land looks like it was designed by someone who watched a TH-cam recap on the movie

I went on it like 5times with my frends and we were screaming random song on it and one time i screamed JOJO HAVE U LEARNED NOTHING lol

I agree for the most part, Rivertown overall, especially theme wise is better and more complete. I only really disagree about the rides. The Wizard of Oz precinct rides are better in my opinion. You say the reason the Rivertown rides are better are due to uniqueness and the downside for Movieworld is the copy and pasting. Which is odd considering murrisipi motors is a repurposed ride already at the park…. Way less unique even with the theming as Movieworld has different theming to tnt, a ride in a whole other state and not repurposed in the same park. Despite this though I agree with everything else and look forward to the improvements in both lands, especially the Wizard of Oz precinct which definitely needs it

Very refreshing to have a video like this, so well done mate. Put together well and it also promotes opinions, views and discussion. As for my views on both places now that I have finally experienced them. I do like the theming of the Wizard of oz land, especially the interior stuff but then it seems to fall flat and sparse outside. It is also a bit of a walk back out from both rides in only what can be described as a prision yard with the black mesh fencing thats mainly enclosed. The rides themselves are great though. Dreaworld has won this, hands down. The Rivertown area with Murrissipi Motors, Jane`s restaurant and Jungle Rush is fully themed and emersive with no gaps or breaks in the illusion. I do feel there will be a water ride of some sort returning in the future as provision has been made. Something like Jungle Cruise style would be ideal. I think Movieworld could improve on their new area by having extra cast members dressed as Munchkins and Ozians for inbetween the times that the main characters come out. It would create a continual bit of something extra and photo opportunities. I also noticed that inside the Emerald Palace has become a refuge area, which in my opinion, clutters the experience. The people hanging around aren`t taking in the atmosphere with their faces buried in mobile phones etc. I look forward to you doing more videos like this as i always have an opinion lol.

No comparison once you have visited both. Dreamworld has blown this one way out of the park! The theming is world class, and the execution is world class. Excellent efficiencies, amenities, atmosphere, design etc. it’s a true ‘land’ on its own, and it’s outstanding. Movie world’s new offering is not a land. It is a courtyard with a ride entrance, and nothing else. There are many unfinished areas, poor sidelines, no shop/food/beverage, very cramped and small, hot sun in ride queues, and some of the worlds worst efficiencies on the wicked witch (unfortunately that’s not an exaggeration) there are some small visuals that are executed very well, unique and engaging, but so small and cramped with little to look at or do. My opinion, and that of most online comments are that dreamworld don’t just win in this one, they’ve moved up to the number 1 park spot with this one! I guess it goes in conjunction with year after year of endless refreshes and investment that the other parks have not had in recent years.

In terms of Dreamworld's rest of their merch offering, they do have a Jungle Rush themed souvenier cup that you can only get from the regular foodcourt for a massive upcharge. They look nice. Also iirc on opening day of Wizard of Oz, they had $6 frozen cokes in a small van just near the Superman Escape sign on the way to the Wizard of Oz major sign.

Wow! This is an awesome video, I've really missed this kind of content in Aussie coaster channels as of late. The quality and structure of this video is seriously incredible- it honestly sorta reminds me of a reviewtyme video and is on par and if not surpasses that quality. Bravo!

This is so underwhelming, its not a land - it would have been smarter to capitalise on the movie and have food and merch, what a missed opportunity. And being able to see the other building and emergency stair cases - they could have done so much more with the area, very disappointing and def not $100 mill as has been suggested, at least there are some new family friendly coasters, i am sure this will be a drawcard and help with traffic on busy days

I think the black fences have to be there so people don’t run into the rides

The theming is way better than Gumbuya world surely. That flower are and dark forest plus the castle looks awesome
