Theoretically latest MySQL server should work, doesn’t matter if it’s MAMP or WAMP etc. The device will communicate with iVMS4200 and iVMS4200 will communicate with MySQL. Hope it helps.

Usually, it’s real time, when anyone marks attendance on device, it’ll show up on MySQL automatically, provided the ivms4200 and MySQL are online. 2. once you enable that, there is an option called enabled function keys on ivms4200, once enabled you can see the function keys which you have selected when marking attendance on MySQL database. (This may not work for very old devices)
Hello Hamid, i have a slight problem, the configuration file path input box for libmysql.dll has disapeared after i switched to SQLServer and back? Is there any way for me to get the input box back. I can't connect to my local mysql database even tho I can when checking with ODBC?
On ivms4200, there is an option to download the records again by selecting a time period, once manually downloaded, records will sync onto database. Hope it helps!

All my registers show as IN, even with the timetables configured. The attendance and the extra hours are calculated just fine in the app but when passing my data to the db it doesn't show when people leave their shift, it registers it like another entrance.

Hi Jose, Using third party database integration, we can export only the mentioned data as per this video. We can export person data on excel table using iVMS / HikCentral.

Yup, you can connect multiple devices (access control / attendance) to one iVMS4200 and all data can be pushed to MySQL. Make sure to add devices with different names, these device names will show for every record on MySQL table.

I haven’t faced this error before. However, you can check for couple of things 1. Make sure you’ve uploaded the correct dll file 2. Use latest version of iVMS4200 3. Update WAMP if available. Thanks!

Hi Nikolay, The architecture works in the way as it's mentioned in the thumbnail of this video. If the device or iVMS4200 is not turned ON, then it will not transmit data onto SQL database. Usually, when the software is ON (provided device is ON and connected to network), data will be downloaded onto MySQL. Alternatively, you can manually download the logs onto iVMS, which inturn can push the data onto MySQL. Thanks!
There is an option in iVMS where you’ll have to enter your email server details and you have option to select what types of reports you’ll require via email.

Hello Miguel, iVMS may not have sufficient privileges. Try running it as admin and check. Secondly, the database of ivms4200 is fully encrypted. When we try to open in notepad, it will be gibberish. One of the the recommended way is to use api or sdk of the hardware and program accordingly. Hope it helps, thanks!

1. Do you mean that the connection to remote server is disconnected always? Or is it unstable? (Connects and then disconnects after sometime) 2. What is the exact error message you are getting? (Also mention if you got the error when saving the sql settings on iVMS or when a user marks attendance on the device)?

Couple of things to check from your side: 1. Make sure both MySQL and iVMS4200 are on same PC / same network (firewall should be disabled). 2. If both are on same pc try with localhost . 3. Check if you have uploaded proper dll file. 4. Use latest version of iVMS 5. Ensure that all the fields are correctly mapped.

Hi can double check if you had uploaded the correct dll file. Secondly, make sure the credentials are correct and the MySQL has access to connect to iVMS.

The crucial moment here: as iVMS is built for the x86 architecture, you have to provide the libmysql.dll file for x86. I also stuck with it and my solution was to install MySQL server x86 (32-bit) locally and to provide the installed libmysql.dll file to iVMS. If you install MySQL Server for x64 architecture and provide libmysql.dll from it, it will cause the "Third-party database connection failed..." error

@@christiaanvanjaarsveldt242 I was also confused that it disappeared after I restarted iVMS. I gave up and reinstalled it from scratch (all it's settings were lost, obviously). You can try putting the correct libmysql.dll file to that location that was in the path fields before it disappeared.

That’s bit strange. Could you create a new database with a table in it and try? Secondly, follow the same order when creating columns in table (it should be same as mentioned in iVMS interface)

Here are couple of things which you can check 1. Let’s say if you have 3 devices, there is an option in HikCentral to choose which devices needs to sync with database. 2. Check only today’s logs and see if the count matches with number of records on sql server. 3. Usually, when sql is down, HikCentral will not sync with sql. If sql is down for less than 16 days (if I am not wrong), the data will be synced with sql server automatically, will require couple of hours to sync.

The whole setup can work even if there’s no internet connection. SQL Database and iVMS should be on the same computer or same network. If there’s temporary network connectivity issue, the logs usually will get downloaded automatically once the network is stable. Secondly, if you still need API access, you can use HikCentral. You’ll have to sign NDA with Hik team. To know more details, you need to get in touch with Hikvision Distributor in your local region.
Hey Hamid, may I ask for this software, how am I able to save the data of other fields into database. For example, right now I am trying to do something where it will detect if this person has passed by this area so I can save the data into database for further action. Or do you have any other ideas on how to work on this kind of project? Thank you in advance :D
You can place one device (or multiple) in each area and set the device name based on area. Whenever a person appears infront of the device. The device name, date-time, employee Id will appear (along with other fields) Later you can run sql command to filter out for a particular area (particular device(s)). This is limitation on iVMS However, if you use Hik-Central, you’ll have option to select particular devices and sql data will populate only for the selected devices. Unselected device(s) data will NOT populate on sql database. Hope it’s clear!

Also I would like to add on another scenario is that, is it possible to check if this user has been registered for certain area? Example, I have 2 area, but that person only registered for area 1's device, then when that person goes to area 2, will the device get detected where that person is not registered for area 2?

Theoretically latest MySQL server should work, doesn’t matter if it’s MAMP or WAMP etc.
The device will communicate with iVMS4200 and iVMS4200 will communicate with MySQL.

When you install MySQL, by default will save a copy the dll file onto the installed directory!!

Hi can double check if you had uploaded the correct dll file.
Secondly, make sure the credentials are correct and the MySQL has access to connect to iVMS.

what i did already:
1. changed dll file of from 5,1 to 8 version of mysql
2. mysql and ivms on same computer
3. mysql using from openserver
4. checked port 3306. connection from other db client
Firewall or antivirus could be blocking the ports. Please double check.
The crucial moment here: as iVMS is built for the x86 architecture, you have to provide the libmysql.dll file for x86. I also stuck with it and my solution was to install MySQL server x86 (32-bit) locally and to provide the installed libmysql.dll file to iVMS. If you install MySQL Server for x64 architecture and provide libmysql.dll from it, it will cause the "Third-party database connection failed..." error
@@nighter20i will give that a try, but can u please tell me how to get the config file path input box back? I only have Database Type: MySQL then server IP. How do i get the config file path inlut box back?
@@christiaanvanjaarsveldt242 I was also confused that it disappeared after I restarted iVMS. I gave up and reinstalled it from scratch (all it's settings were lost, obviously). You can try putting the correct libmysql.dll file to that location that was in the path fields before it disappeared.

Additionally, there is option to include or exclude devices (in case if you don’t need any data to be sent to sql from any particular device(s))

That’s bit strange.
Could you create a new database with a table in it and try?
Secondly, follow the same order when creating columns in table (it should be same as mentioned in iVMS interface)

Please double check if firewall is blocking the ports.

If telnet is enabled, then try telnet localhost 3306 to see if it enters.

Here are couple of things which you can check
1. Let’s say if you have 3 devices, there is an option in HikCentral to choose which devices needs to sync with database.
2. Check only today’s logs and see if the count matches with number of records on sql server.
3. Usually, when sql is down, HikCentral will not sync with sql. If sql is down for less than 16 days (if I am not wrong), the data will be synced with sql server automatically, will require couple of hours to sync.

The whole setup can work even if there’s no internet connection. SQL Database and iVMS should be on the same computer or same network. If there’s temporary network connectivity issue, the logs usually will get downloaded automatically once the network is stable.
Secondly, if you still need API access, you can use HikCentral. You’ll have to sign NDA with Hik team. To know more details, you need to get in touch with Hikvision Distributor in your local region.

Hey Hamid, may I ask for this software, how am I able to save the data of other fields into database. For example, right now I am trying to do something where it will detect if this person has passed by this area so I can save the data into database for further action. Or do you have any other ideas on how to work on this kind of project? Thank you in advance :D
You can place one device (or multiple) in each area and set the device name based on area. Whenever a person appears infront of the device. The device name, date-time, employee Id will appear (along with other fields)
Later you can run sql command to filter out for a particular area (particular device(s)).
This is limitation on iVMS
However, if you use Hik-Central, you’ll have option to select particular devices and sql data will populate only for the selected devices. Unselected device(s) data will NOT populate on sql database.
