Lovely video, although it's sad that Monarch are now no more. Any idea what the plane visible on a hardstanding at 17:05 is? Shape looks like a 747 fuselage, but it only has one engine per wing, and looks to have a third in the tail, like in a DC-10/MD-11. Very odd!
My friends dad used to fly Air Transat's A300. I used to see a lot of them and hear a lot about them. Very, very sad to see such a historic jet be retired like this. It may be converted to cargo, but never again will I see Air Transat's A300 :( I grew up around them and I will miss them.
Absolutely outstanding video! It's really sad to see this and so many other beautiful aircraft being phased out, but thanks to you and others like you, we at least have these great vids to watch and enjoy. Thanks very much for posting this! Very well done!
Amazing airplane first Air France flight (A300) in May, 1974, Air France between Paris & Londres, I flew often in Airbus A300, AF, Lufhtansa & Air Inter in 1970/80/90, what fantastic machine. Airbus family still going stronger & stronger, thanks to European Indutries.
@@NordicAviation wait how high do planes fly up to? Birmingham from Gatwick isn't even far, like a hundred miles or so, and shit, I just realised what I typed up, sorry. I remember going on a plane, only travelling maybe 120 miles or so, but yet, we flew up to a cruising altitude of 30,000 feet
I was in 14K chief! Fantastic day, even if a touch sad. Uploaded my take off video, the rest will follow in a full length episode when I find video software that works!
This is awesome, just awesome. Thanks charlest103 Aviation Videos HD ✈ for bringing this feeling to me. It's sad to see the legends slowly leave the fleet. Sigh
The 2nd Highlight in aviation history in 2014 after the last DC-10 Flight in February. Fantastic video > thumbs UP! Which Flight Experience was more impressive?
Thanks for watching! I think the DC-10 was the more impressive for me, as it was completely different from other aircraft I have flown on. Both flights were very enjoyable though! :)
Wow what an awesome video! Great startup sound and epic water cannon salute footage. I bet it felt weird doing the flyby as a pilot, they probably kept forgetting they were doing a flyby and wanted to nose dive for the runway:L Can't believe there was little kids on the flight, why!?:( I do appreciate what Monarch and Biman did for us avgeeks:) Very sad to seen another amazing aircraft go:( Liked.
Shame Monarch has gone, I live in St. Alban's and remember as a kid seeing Monarch Bristol Britannias ,Boeing 720Bs flying over as well as the good old BAC 111, all such a long time ago now. Pity this flight didn't fly over this way and salute Luton as Monarch never had a chance to say good-bye.
A310 is also currently on service on cargo companies. The A300 is the same but most aircraft being used are modern aircraft such as the 787 or A330/A350
Thanks for watching! :) Yes the flight was full. It ended at BHX I guess so Monarch Engineering can do whatever they need to do before it flies to France to be scrapped
Thanks for reply Yes enjoyed your video of this wonderful plane.. I was on her very first flight way back in 1992 and rememeber it as if it was yesterday.I was hoping to be on board last sunday but Had problems with connecting flights..Thanks again and keep those wonderful videos coming.Im wondering if anyone will know when she leaves BHX for france ?? Regards Ian
Shame they couldn't bebothered to organise something similar forthr 757's who served them so well for 30 years. And are now being scrapped without any love being shown towRds them whatsoeb
Ahhhhh I used to work as cabin crew on this plane along with G-MONS, G-MONR and G-MAJS. Really liked the A300, such a unique aircraft to work on.
Monarch and its fantastic cabin crew were brilliant, many happy memories on my summer hols
Very sad to see it go. Amazing video by the way, thanks for sharing! Liked a ton m8!
Thanks for watching! :)
Wow! Awesome Video! HUGE LIKE! I loved The A300 PAX!
Thanks for watching! :)
Super work as always! Love those engine sounds, don't really get that down the back!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the flight! :)
Sure did!

Bristol Transport It’s a fire training aircraft
I've watched quite a few videos of this flight, but this is by far the best! Very nice quality and very steady! liked :)
Thanks! :)

I liked A300 of monarch.... What a shame.... Thanks for the vid
Thanks for watching! :)
The captain clearly states there will be a water canon salute and the guy at 12:12 thinks they're deicing the plane? Wow
I know! As if you would need deicing on such a hot day anyway haha! Thanks for watching! :)
I’ve flown the a300 of American Airlines several times to sdq. Nice flights and comfortable
Birmingham: the top destination for last flights, Biman, Monarch, what will it be next?
Great video and very nice plane!
Thanks for watching! :)
Lovely flight and was nice seeing you :) I was right behind you in 12K :)
Thanks for watching! Was nice seeing you too! :)
Such a shame it will never fly again. Great video!
It is a shame! Thanks for watching! :)
Very sad that this was the last passenger flight. But an amazing video! Superb shots! Really enjoyed watching it! :) Massive like!
It is sad! Thanks for watching! :)
It wasn't the last passenger flight it was monarchs last passenger flight lots of other airlines use them
Wonderful aircraft - just flew me to Benidorm and back!
Absolutely outstanding video! It's really sad to see this and so many other beautiful aircraft being phased out, but thanks to you and others like you, we at least have these great vids to watch and enjoy. Thanks very much for posting this! Very well done!
Thanks for watching! :)
Great video mate sad seeing her go. Fond memories of is aircraft thanks for uploading
Thanks for watching! :)
Great video. Thanks for this special moment

Has the plane been sold yet and what airline bought it
Awesome video! Sad, but awesome! Birmingham is home for last flights ;)
Thanks for watching! BHX certainly is home for last flights it seems! :)
Outstanding video man, splendid shots! Sad to see this beautiful plane go...
Thanks for watching! :)

Something like FL180 or Fl190
+Hendy Holy shit thats low
+BLXDK well it was the last flight
+Hendy Yeh i know :)

Lovely Plane + Lovely Airline! Hate to see it go!
Thanks for watching! :)

Fantastic video! Love those engine sounds! :)
Thanks! You cant beat engine sounds like that :)
Favorited for sure! Amazing video! :)
Thanks for watching! :)

Thanks for watching! :) Yeah I'm sure the flyby did feel strange for the pilots! Well at least the little kids got to experience an A300!
Yeah I guess, I know I wouldn't pay £70 or so for my kid (If I had one:L) to go on it.
+Mraviationguy I'm sure that they would love you for it... £70 well spent
It’s sad to see this beautiful aircraft go...
Wait I've saw monarch at London luton airport in 2015 (LLA)
I hear the sound of Uranus's rings somewhere during its heading to the runway
Did you know you guys were climbing out at 4000k per min once you'd turned East over Surrey?
I didn't know that! Thanks for watching! :)
Is the a300 a safe plane?
Yes its just old
It even has a yoke 😀
It also had a throttle too, plus some pedals called rudders, I'm guessing it made the aircraft go left and right, but what do I know? Lol
Was it busy?
As far as I remember the flight was full! Thanks for watching! :)
Grew up near Luton and this airline was almost an institution in the area , very sad day
Does A310 still fly? If so, what's the difference between the A310 and the A300?
Are they both wide body?
+Fly757X That's good :) thank you
If you ever wanna fly on an A310 Air Transat still has a fleet of them
A310 is also currently on service on cargo companies. The A300 is the same but most aircraft being used are modern aircraft such as the 787 or A330/A350
The A300 is longer and it comes equipped with a yoke not a sidestick
Very sad day indeed Bye bye G-OJMR Was the flight full ?? And why did it end up at BHX ?? Its future ???
Thanks for watching! :) Yes the flight was full. It ended at BHX I guess so Monarch Engineering can do whatever they need to do before it flies to France to be scrapped

It's wicked these beautiful aircraft are being broken up - all that's left are tedious boring crap things with no character. Like737 800's!
I know its such a shame! Thanks for watching! :)
