    This was one of our favorite models, compact, great cargo carrying capacity, and a good size for towing with a smaller vehicle. We had to get the larger 2106DS as we have a daughter and this would be a tight camper for 3. Other than that, its a great couples camper!

    Three pumps of grease , lol. I have a 2019, greased the hubs two weeks ago. After twelve pumps on the right rear and seeing no grease being pushed out of the front cap I stopped and decided to pull the drum and inspect the rear seal. It all looked good. Reinstalled and after eight more pumps the grease was pushed forward. All four hubs took that many pumps. Pretty obvious the person I purchased the rv from had never greased the hubs, I suppose te number of pumps required could be related to the amount of grease ones grease gun expels per pump. No doubt they are a dream to maintain. I have a 1999 ez loader trailer for my boat that has ez lube hubs. Huge plus. We love our minnie. Its perfect for two adults. The double axle is also a huge plus. Mine has lippert axles that can be height adjusted four inches. I pull it with a 2015 F150 coyote fx4 with max tow (electric trailer brake control) weight distributing hitch and sway bars. Can cruise at 68 mph with no sway. The minnies are real nice travel trailers.

      ...a wonderful purchase for us...we bought a 2018, and love it. We pull our with a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan v-6 and get on flat highways at 60 mph, 15-17 mph, on hills and dales of 3-5 %, we get around 10-12 (still very good, as some or most only get this figure while on flat highway!) Pulls easy...and you can use this unit (20 feet) in most every campground configuration...even campsites that are flagged as tent only. Also...if you visit family...and who doesn't have a brother or sister, that might be in another town, or state or province...that at 20 feet, you can easily spend a week or weekend parked right on their driveway!!!! Try that, with even a 22-30 foot trailer...and in most cases, your front end is at the roadway (not good), or over the sidewalk...(illegal). A great trailer..and one that you can actually consider using for a cross country trip...it won't break the 'pulling-cost' bank... BTW, you have heard of so many people that downsize their home, after the kids are gone...well, that we find is happening as well in the R.V. world...that people are downsizing from their 25 foot and up R.V.'s to something in the 19-22 range for many reasons of usage, storage and general ownership. The 1706FB and the new 1708FB are two trailers, that would be sold off your driveways, within one week of putting a For Sale sign upon it. Or...if ever....lol! Cheers,

    Well appointed trailer at a great price. Good walk through. Is the refer AC/DC/Gas?

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 'fridge is 110 ac/Gas. To run the 'fridge on GAS, you also need to have the battery connected, and supplying 12v to the fridge circuit board. That 12v current keeps the gas flowing to the burner. It is also automatic...for as an example...you just pull into the site, and your 'fridge is on (as well always travel with ours on gas), you then pull out your 30 amp...and after you connect to the post and trailer...the 'fridge senses available AC current and AUTOMATICALLY switches over from gas to AC. You also have the choice to override the Auto Mode, if you wish to. My wife and I still marvel at the size of the freezer in the 6 CF Dometic...a truly 'from the house perspective', usable freezer. We run the fridge off our driveway for 24 hours before we load up all pre-chilled stuff from our home fridge, and pack frozen 1 pound lasagna trays, Sheppard's Pie, ground beef, steaks, pork chops...you name it...and head out onto the road with 'good eating' within the trailer...!!!!

      You'd know by the fact that in the later models, they 'saved some money'...and took away those wonderful two drawers built into the Queen support base. They are fabulous to have...in comparison to just one big storage space, they offer you now. We use those two drawers for all the pajamas, under-clothes, socks...and the first day clothing swap up for the each of us. They are full deep depth drawers, that really store a lot of what you'll want to have, right there...easily available, at dawn and dusk. They did away with them in mid- 2020 production..so if you purchase a 2019 and down..you will indeed still have that great feature. This 2020, was a first three month run...whereby you still had the two built in gimbal slide drawers available. Personally, I'd rather opt for a in-good-condition '18 or '19, that has this feature. None of the 1708FB has the drawers available. Only in the 1706FB series from mid 2020 and down....

    The tv placement is a total deal breaker for me. Otherwise I love it. Who designed that? Why would Winnebago give the green light on it. Should be with the bed if anything.

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The T.V. placement is great, as said by an owner...you can watch T.V. from both the dinette as well as for two, propped up in bed. We do it all the time. Also, it is totally out of the way of anybody's shoulders, and possible dislodged damage. You can also take the T.V. outside if you wish, by using the available location for a t.v. mount...like watching a pivotal season-deciding sports game with friends...done that, have the t-shirt. :) This trailer, in all aspects is awesome! Awesome to pull, awesome to camp on-site, awesome to store for free upon your own driveway for the times, it isn't used to put sloppy smiles upon your faces...awesome, awesome, and oh...did I mention?....awesome! :)

      It is indeed under 3,000 pounds dry...and we pull ours 'wet' and loaded with a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, with the O.E.M. tow package..and a good Reese WDH. We have pulled in the mountains, no problem, if you allow your V-6 to find it's best 3 to 7 percent grade climbing speed. We don't carry the 35 gallon (he misquoted that as 31 gallons...) potable water tank full...but if we go to a site that only has a communal water tap...we take two trips to it...and fill up our 35 gallon tank at that time. On the 1706FB, you have a 25 black water, a 25 grey water, and a 35 potable-(drinking/fresh) gallon tank configuration. Yes, your hot water tank holds 6 gallons of hot water available to your shower, your sink, and your outside shower hot water knob.

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm 6'4", 170 pounds...and I can stand in the center of the shower pan...and have no problem sud'sing myself down...and then using the wand to take off the soap. The shower is fine, for you to stand in the center...and take your 5 minute shower. If you are an elbow flailing type of person...you might feel yourself 'somewhat' constricted, but if you are not--->...no problem at all! Being that the Sky Light is right above you...that gives you another 4 or so inches of head clearance so even I am not stooping as I shower, bent over. Like I said..if you can keep your elbows from whipping out against the walls of the shower stall, you have plenty of enough room to have a water-proof, in-door shower. One can't expect the size of a shower, that is in their home, lol! If you want a larger shower pan...then with that..comes EVERYTHING else...much larger as well....like the entire coach, tow...weight....and storage problems... Trust me...I go into my 1706FB shower from a day upon the trail, or at the beach...and come out 5 minutes later...fresh like the morning dew...lol! Cheers, Oh, BTW, most of the time, we use the outside shower, which has the same hot-cold knob set up, to mix your wand temperature, and then a very ample wand length, to shower you down. Why have to clean or dry the interior shower, if you have this feature outside? Just shower in your bathing suit...and uh..er...soap it all down, UNDERNEATH, your bathing suit...before wanding it all clear of soap suds... LOL! No muss, no fuss...you are showered...and nothing...I mean, NOTHING to have to even clean up...dry off...or maintain.... So, this trailer gives you showering location choices... Oh, one more thing...even when you are on the road...you can take a quick outside shower, by means of your 12v water pump supplying pressure, and your propane heating the hot water tank...just park by any trucking service centre back parking lot area...with your shower (entrance side) facing THE CURB...be in your swim trunks...take a 3 minute soap down and shower...and towel off...change to dry clothes..and be on your way...and all this while travelling TO YOUR DESTINATION...between campsites. To have this showering option available, you'd need to run with about 15 gallons in your Potable Water Tank You only have to use your ingenuity to leverage out the full potential of owning this trailer! :)
