    Recently the wife and I rented an Rpod 180, similar layout to this unit but the kitchen was on a slide out. I think the rpod had more room, more storage, weighed less and overall made more sense that this unit.

    I like this floorplan, but I'm not crazy about where the TV is. Also,...I really wish you could get swivel recliners, instead of the very uncomfortable bench style seats on the dinette.

      You can, if you want to put them in after you buy. Many people have modified the interiors of their T.T. to personally suit them. For us, we love the Dinette,, and one of them, is when travelling, you just pull into a truck plaza, open the fridge, pull out the food, sit down...enjoy a cold beer, water...whatever, and have your meal. This unit is totally self-contained. After a day of travel, you can pull into a rest area...(many are over-nighters), turn on the water heater, the both of you having a nice warm shower, make dinner, clean up, turn on the T.V. and prop yourselves into bed. The T.V. is actually the proper distance away from the bed, and of course can be controlled by the remote. Same for the sound system, all remote. The T.V. where it is, also can not be hit by someone, or damaged in any other way. My wife and I watch movies all the time cuddled up in bed. No problem seeing the screen at all. The trailer just ROCKS!

    TV is still in the wrong spot. I really wish you could get the dinette in swivel recliners instead of those uncomfortable benches. Also if there was a slideout on the dinette side instead of the kitchen, I would like them to do a floorplan like that. Otherwise, good video.

      Having a two sink kitchen, is great for the preparing of food, great for washing and cleaning up...and you can lay a cutting board over one of them, anyways. Having just one sink, gets old in a hurry. We love the fact that our 1706FB is a micro condo...it has all the features of a condo/home, but on a scale that it can be taken with you! Having two sinks, rather than one, is just another reminder, that you are not 'giving up' anything you had at home...

      Joyce, we pull our 2018 1706FB with our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, wit the Mopar O.E.M. factory installed Class III tow package. Our Van, us and the gear behind us, pulls easily. We get on flat highway 12-15 mpg at Cruise, at 60 MPH. It's a very well behaving trailer when properly fitted to a W.D.H. (Weight Distributing Hitch). In fact, I hardly feel the trailer behind our Van.

    @raymondray3232 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Will it fit in a standard garage ?

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, due to the height of both the vent covers (you'd want to install) and your A/C compressor. But...you can save over $2,500 per year, in storage costs, because this trailer, is 20 feet in length, 7 feet wide (as wide as your car or van) and can be easily parked on your own driveway instead of storage, where damage, theft from, rodent damage, can and will occur. We use the $2,500 dollars my wife and I save by being able to park out T.T. on our own driveway...and use the money saved, to enjoy the use of it. This is an important aspect of what length of trailer you want, and where is it going to be stored when not in use. Many people over-look that fact, when thinking of the size of their prospective purchase.

      The fridge is HUGE...and my wife and I can pack in the same food volume, your home fridge does...and the Freezer is a true 'freezer'...huge, and can keep food and ice-cream totally frozen. In fact, the size of the fridge and freezer was a key feature that sold us on the 1706FB! Everything is well designed in the cabin, but one would want to custom reinforce the bed frame that Winnebago only built from 1x1's...to at least 2x2's or as we did...2x4's. Other than that, our trailer came from the factory 100 percent suited for the pursuit of two adult, creature comfort R.V.'ing.

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lose the Dinette that my wife and I enjoy having breakfast, lunch, and dinner at? You mean that dinette? LOLOLOL. I'm 6 feet, 4 inches, 250 pounds, and have no problem with elbow or butt room in the closed bathroom. Same for the shower. With the wand, you take a Naval Shower...you wet your body, turn off the hand wand. You lather up, and rinse yourself off. Done...5 minutes. For the most part, during the camping season, we both use the outside shower (wearing our bathing suits) to wet, lather, rinse. Also that outside shower is great to come from the beach, sweaty and sandy footed..and to hose yourself off, remove the sand from your feet and toes...and because it is a true cold/hot water shower, you set the temp to suit yourself. We love this trailer...for so many reasons...the size of it, for the features and creature comfort, the towing ease, the being able to store it on our driveway, saving us thousands of 'useless expenditure' in fees charged to store your T.T. other than your own driveway. With this model, you get the cake...as well as being able to eat the dang thing as well!

    • @anthonythorp7291

      @@sesquashtwo if it works for you, great. For me it would work better as I suggested. Could maybe make a hinged table that folds down from the wall.

    • @sesquashtwo
      @sesquashtwo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@anthonythorp7291 The table does come out, as that Dinette is actually a second sleeping for one adult, or two perhaps younger grandchildren. So the Dinette is a converter bed. If you wanted, you could even take the whole dinette out, bench seats and all. Of course that is your choice. On the whole, this trailer has such everything going for it...the East West Short Queen bed, allows for a Queen, in a trailer, that is 4 feet shorter, than if it were a North-South. The large Dinette window, faces your campsite side, rather than the slide-out on others, that have you viewing your neighbors. Double sink for cleaning as well as preparing food, a three burner stove top, with the front one, high heat, a totally usable oven for baking, cooking roasts, chicken, or baking a pizza. Also, the 13,000 BTU air-conditioner really takes down the heat, due to it not having to cool many more cubic feet of a 25-35 foot T.T. Again, we have had bigger, T.T.'s in the past, and would never trade this unit in...just perfect for two, to travel the continent.

    There's no where to hang any clothing. Also, why put a charging point in the middle of the wall next to the bed? Are you going to leave your phone/computer on your bed to charge? I wouldn't. And one large sink in the kitchen with a bit of counter space makes much more sense then a double with no counter space.
    These seem like obvious things to me. If they got this stuff wrong, what else did they get wrong that you can't see?

    • @16B9
      @16B9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As you come in the trailer, the second cabinet on the left has a closet hanger in it. U need to remove the shelves to use it as such. The sinks in the kitchen come with hard covers that can provide counter space as designed. The charging station on the wall can be used while sitting/lying in bed as many people do. Wrong is in the eye of the beholder vs. someone that doesn't know jack about micro minnie trailer camping.

      In what way? We stock up the fridge, and can boondock for one to two weeks, with all the food and frozen we need, as well as having a pitcher of ice-water. In what way is the fridge, over-kill? We call it one of the reasons, we jumped on this model. You don't have to keep going out to restock a smaller fridge, as well, as keep taking half the food out, to get to something. Over Kill? Not on your life!
